it may take my homie 6 months to do a track but truth is his 6 months shows with every sngle last word he spits thanks for the support and keep listenin in the album is almost there.\
also check out emceedub i think he has a page as equalmcdub or some bullshit but yo he's the truth listen and let know
man this is a great live performance i can make out every lyric awesome breath control this guys sick ive only heard get rich or die trying of the def jux album by him and this is an awesome song does he have any albums out
Inspiring stuff. I've loved Despot since his verse on cyncical bastard with Lodek. It knocked me for six. His style is what i was waiting for as a lover of hip hop. I love Co flow and alot of late 90's hip hop and in the doldrums of shit 2000 hip hop he appeared. Thank you.
This is dope. I know ratatat is doing production on his album, but I wonder if this is the final beat for this song. Seems kinda weak to recycle a beat they used in remixes v2
this is indeed the final beat for this song. we will be recycling 2 beats off the remixes album, as those beats are fresh and were never REALLY used..you know? this beat and the beat used for the 3 kings remix will be on my album along with MORE NEW ratatat beats. and blockhead beats. and algernon beats. and el-p beats. or something. thanks for watching..final beat but definitely not final raps. was just trying it out.
Whoa! I definitely wasn't expecting a response from the man himself. I meant no offense with the recycling comment. You're right about those beats being fresh though, putting them on a legit album that can actually be distributed legally is definitely a more worthy use.
It sounds like your album's shaping up really well. I've been into your stuff ever since I saw you open for Ratatat in Buffalo, it's great to finally hear some new material. Can't wait for the album to drop.
thanks for the support. no offense taken. I fully understood the potential for people thinking the idea of re-using beats was silly when deciding to do so. there have been occasions where I myself have thought, as a rap fan, that it was silly for a beat to be recycled. that being said, yea I think it's worth getting these out on properly distributed album with songs that were built around them. sometimes producers even shop beats with accapellas over them. so..you know. glad you like it.
illest artist that doesnt have any solo shit out

What is this "remixes 2" album you all are talking about?
hobopowerlazer 3 years ago
Ratatat Remixes Volume Two.
Despot had a freestyle track on the same CD that sounds super dope.
The music in this video is from "Glock Nines" on the CD.
