It's cool that Stevie has been inducted with Fleetwood Mac, but she was brought in for her efforts with the band. Her solo stuff shot her into the stratosphere. Thus, she should be inducted as a solo artist too. Just ask Paul Simon. He was inducted for Simon & Garfunkel, AND as a solo artist. It should be the same for Stevie Nicks.

@TreyLutrash. Tom Petty wrote this song for Stevie Nicks for her first solo album. According to the documentary on The Heartbreakers, the duet idea was conceived by Ionello, the manager when Tom was singing it to Stevie in order to get timing down. It worked out to be a classic.

This song was written by Tom Petty to be sung by the Heartbreakers but Stevie's then Manager Jimmy Iovine heard it and persuaded Tom that it was a record meant to be sung by a female and suggested it was given to Stevie and Tom agreed it was a great idea and he would sing the chorus. This is documented by Jimmy Iovine.

I discovered Stevie Nicks before I really discovered Fleetwood Mac. 'Rock A Little' was the album. Even with tragic 80's production & big hair she got my attention with "I can't wait", but it was her singing "You can talk to me" that made me walk into a record store and buy it without hesitation. Someone else wrote the song, but the way she sang it... By the time I had gotten to "Has Anyone Ever Written Anything for You?", she had completely stolen my heart away.
