Hey girl, thanks for posting all these videos. I'm 23 years old, married a year on August 2nd and I'm 7 weeks pregnant! We're so excited but very concerned about having a miscarriage since I had one before. These videos are really helping though. Congrats on your baby boy! We're praying for a boy as well.
This is crazyyyyyyyyyyy. As soon as you said im already in my pajamas its like 9:45 at night, i looked at my clock and it was exactly 9:45 pm. Craziness. lol. Anyway, just wanted to say "Thanks for sharing" your experience. It's fun to see the updates and you remind me SO much of me. I was so on top of the charting thing, even when I was 21. There is also a lot of physical resemblance (well, I used to dye my hair blond, don't know if you're natural or not, lol, but I wasn't) and the face shape, etc, it's like looking at me years ago. Anyhow, now I'm over here dying to know if I'm having a girl or a boy and to know exactly how far along I am.
I'm currently pregnant with my...ok gosh this is embarrassing...my 12th baby, but some of my babies miscarried, some were born too premature to survive (I once carried quintuplets), so this is (hopefully) going to be my 6th living baby, due sometime in September-we think-we don't know because my cycles are really irregular and I've not yet had an ultrasound, only one OB appointment-at which the inept doc did little other than refer me to a perinatologist because of my age-gulp-I'm 36.

I am in week 21 with my second, now. You are about 3 weeks ahead of me, so it is always cool to see where you are and how things are going for you. I love your US pictures. We just had our "big scan" done the other day and found out we are having another little girl. Hubby was hoping for a boy so that there would be one of each, but we are excited none the less! I wish we lived closer (we live near Houston) so our kids could play together. YOu look great, btw -- keep up the good work!
You actually weigh approximately 2lbs heavier later in the day than you do first thing in the morning. I always weigh myself in the morning. I'm 9 weeks and 1 day pregnant and have put on 2lbs so far. Although, I don't obsess about it, lol, don't get me wrong.
More than 2 lbs... In the mornings I weigh in around 124-126 lbs, middle of the day 127-129, late night 130-131. Just weighed my self, it's 3:01pm and I weighed 128.5
must be nice to have good genes with no stretch marks :( i didnt get any until 36 weeks im 38 now...and i used cocoa butter RELIGIOUSLY since the second i found out at 5 weeks pregnant. but since u didnt get any with ur first u probly wont with this one either. luckyyyyy

You are def. showing now! very cute belly. How is it going been under a Midwife's supervision? I'm very curious. To be honest I didn't like my delivery experience. Did the labor at home, didn't get an IV or meds at hospital, was 10cm dilated. Stupid nurse wouldn't let me catch my breath, I thought she was going to brake me in half with the legs' position. Excuse my ignorance, but do Midwives do deliveries at hospitals? I know you are planning on having a home birth, I was just wondering.
Yes there r 2 types of midwives, CNM and CPM, CNM is more of a hospital background, while CPM is more holistic background. I've chosen a CPM. They both do hospitals, birthing centers, and I THINK only CPMs do home births. Even if u still wanted to go with an ob/gyn but wanted some of that midwife exp, check into getting a doula for your birth and/or postpartum. I LOVE my midwife and the exp I have had so far.

Im only 13 weeks so i still have about 5-7 weeks till my ultrasound and we are having a hard time not knowing we are having. We have a girl right now who will be 3 on friday. Hoping for a boy but as long as its healthy. You look so happy by the way! Hope may/june comes fast for you. I have till the end of July. HOT! Good luck!
We found out the gender of our son at 16 weeks, maybe u can make an appointment w/ a fetal imaging place like we did, then u wouldn't have so long to wait! :)
You have the cutest belly! And I can't see your birth marks at all, you skin looks perfect. My stomach is the same size as yours but it grows to almost 36 inches in the evening when I've eaten too much. As far as your weight goes, just remember that 1 gallon of water weighs 8 lbs so you can vary a lot based on water retention. And I just bought those same Target pants and wore them on the vid I did today. Thanks for sharing, your videos are wonderful!
My daughter & I just got out of the hospital for a very bad tummy virus. I just ate 1 poptart, the first food that I have ate in over 2 days literally... Up until this morning I haven't even been able to keep water in me w/ out it coming out directly after. So I'm sure I don't weigh near as much as I did. My belly looks so much smaller, and my face just looks sick. It's been a rough weekend.
Oh that's awful! You must've been so worried about the baby, you poor thing. You were already so tiny and thin and now this. Eat lots of pop tarts to make up for time lost! :) I'm just glad you and baby and your daughter are back at home and doing better.
I wasn't that worried at 1st, it was after the fact my husband had freaked out on me, and asked every 3 minutes "R u sure we don't need to go to the hospital?" That I finally gave in and was worried my self since my daughter is under 1 and I'm pregnancy dehydration could happen to quick and very severe in a flip of switch. Just got a call from hubby @ work he's cutting the night short and on his way home w/ the same mess we had... :(

Well sure it's a lot of work but even that much more reward comes with the hard work I'm sure? Those first few weeks of my daughters life, when she woke every hour for a feed during the night, I would DREAD getting out of bed, but the moment I picked her up, turned the light on and looked into those eyes I felt so guilty for ever wanting to stay in the bed for another minute or so, she made it worth every bit of sleep I lost just getting to see, hold, kiss, and nurse her. U get x8 of that!

We found out a couple of weeks ago (week 18) that we are having a girl but have to get another ultrasound done today because of poor pictures, so I guess we will find out for sure if its a girl or not! You hear about all of these stories where they are told one gender and it ends up being another!
Oh I'm sure it's a girl then, that is when we found out the gender of our daughter at 17w5d, so basically 18 weeks, and obviously she's a girl. Your far enough that I doubt it would be wrong. Congratulations :)
Hey Lucy. I am so excited for you and your family and it's great that everything is going well. I wish my belly looked half as cute as yours when I was preggo. I ended up getting quite a few stretch marks in my 3rd trimester! But well worth it! LOL I even used Palmers tummy butter and it didnt work! :( Always excited to see your updates. Makes me excited for when I have my next. My older sister and I are 10 months apart and we are real close. I want that for my kids. Well take care!
Most that do get them get them in the 3rd trimester. I got my first one w/ my daughter at 27 weeks on my butt. I'm just lucky they stayed on my butt and my butt only. I didn't use lotion there b/c I didn't think I'd get there, dunno why since I already had a few there from puberty, but this time teh lotion is going every where, lol.
yea I had it looked it kinda like hives it itched so bad. little red bumps every where Have you dr. or mid wife check it out they should be able to give you benedryl if it is pregnancy rash.
are those pants from target like yoga pants? or are they nice pants like for work? I need some more comfy pants for the psycho weather we are having here in texas :)
BTW you look Fantastic! Thanks for your videos, they just add that bit of reassurance that books could never offer. Oh, by any chance have you been experiencing any tailbone pain? I know that sounds strange but my lower back/tailbone is killing me (I am 20 ½ weeks).
Tailbone-yes, ALTHOUGH mine is severely broken, and there isn't any additional amount of pain from the norm so I don't think it's pregnancy contributed...
What kind of lotion have you been using/ used with your daughter? I have been using the Palmers but I think it smells terrible! I have been super itching as well! I would highly recommend the Palmers anti-itch oil stuff its so wonderful it really just feels like the itch fire is being put out (-: I got a mini travel bottle for $1 at Motherhood.

Oh that is awesome you get to have a 4D scan!!! I'm jealous. We've only got to see our little one in 4d once, and that was at 16 weeks, when he was like alllllllll bones and no fat so he looked really weird. We are getting a 4D scan later around 27 weeks when he has more fat on him, and we can tell what he looks like. They are just so much fun!!!! The first week was probably the easiest, your still on the natural high from having your baby you feel like you can conquer anything, and nothing bad will effect you. It was after the first week where I ran into some trouble w/ clogged ducts, and not getting enough sleep due to the frequent long feedings.
Have you tried undressing her down to the diaper during feeds? Doing a diaper change before feedings to wake her up all the way? Rub her back occassionally during the feed to make sure she stays awake? Switching breast after 10 minutes to wake her up? Those are a lot of things we had to do, we would use the same breast but switch positions from cradle to football, so forth.
I change her b4 feedings, strip her naked, switch breasts. I even have rubbed her with a baby wipe to try to keep her awake. A nurse told me to play with her feet cause babies hate it, and she kept on sleeping. Once I take her off to burp her shes wide awake and rooting around for more, but once I put her back on ZZZZZZZZ
Aweeee your just that comforting to her, very sweet but I'm sure it is challenging and at times can be trying to the nerves. Have you tried feeding her w/ a light near by over the two of you? I know that would always help w/ my daughter. It seemed to bother her enough she would continue to squirm and stay awake. Once I figured that out I'd set up my BFing area in the corner where we had two windows that met and were ALWAYS super sunny, it worked out great. Do u have a spot like that in ur home?
use cocoa butter creme (not lotion)on your belly and strech marks now and routinely once a dayand they will go away. I had not a single one where applied it i used vaseline too
Yay for week 21!!! I went to Target on Wednesday, and I was soooo amazed at their selection of baby clothes. I saw some of the cutest outfits, and I was so bummed that I could'nt buy a single one! Oh well. Just one more week and I am losing my mind and my husband's wallet!! LMAO!!!!! I'm thrilled that everthing went good with your u/s and I'm so jealous of all the pictures. =(

LOL!! I NEVER weigh myself! I don't find out my weight unless I go to the doctor...i'm scared to see what i've gained. With my daughter, I gained 60 pounds. So far, (32, almost 33 weeks pregnant) i've gained 18!!! My cravings have been so different this go-around. I've been eating alot of salads and carrots with ranch! I made sure that my weight gain wasn't up that high again! Your belly is just so cute!

Ideally for someone my size your supposed to gain 30 lbs, so a 1 lb a week on average once the 2nd trimester comes around. With that said u can gain nothing one month and then the next 4 lbs in 1 week, so a lb a week on average.
When regarding fundal measurements yes ur right. But that is the measurement from the top of your pubic bone to the top of ur uterus, and I am measuring 1 week aka 1 cm ahead on that.

I never noticed the birthmarks before .. I still can hardley see them. Is your skin still super itchy? Maybe thats why its so red and blotchy feeling.

Of course, he'll have his own set, he has to, for 1 ur right they r 2 close in age 2 do that, #2, her furniture is straight up girly!!!!! lol No way could it be used for a boy. We plan on buying his furniture w/ in the next 2-3 weeks, BUT we can't pick it up and bring it home until we move... Which is the ONLY reason we haven't started the nursery yet. Stretch marks are just one of the lovely things we can expect to happen and if it doesn't then wow. Just get up VERY slow! I was like that w/ my daughter. Girl clothes are a lot of fun, so many dresses :) WalMart has a TON of super cute dresses out right now for girls. I just noticed that yesterday. Love either name.

Ohh so that means you'll have to have everything you need b4 your shower, so your shower is just extra stuff? We have to do our shower b4 hand so we have enough time to buy what they don't get. Granted we always buy the big important stuff and just leave the small stuff but even so that stuff can add up quick!

I get pregnancy rash on my face. When I am done with my shower and I get out to put lotion on, I have these red patches on my face. It is aweful. I have to CAKE ON the makeup if I am going out. And my skin is extra dry!
You're looking great! I get my 20 week 4d scan tomorrow to confirm the sex of my baby. I'm SO excited!! Then this weekend or early next week I'll start my vlog for the second half of my pregnancy. Better late than never right? I'm trying to figure everything out so we'll see if I'm successful haha

You're getting so prettily big! Great to see y'all doing so well. I'm still baby boy-less!! I'm contracting like crazy, but of course not regularly enough.. The "surges" seem so intense it's hard to imagine actually having enough to give birth. I'm on here to look up some confirmations I can meditate on to psyche myself up again. You are def. showing now! very cute belly. How is it going been under a Midwife's supervision? I'm very curious. To be honest I didn't like my delivery experience. Did the labor at home, didn't get an IV or meds at hospital, was 10cm dilated. Stupid nurse wouldn't let me catch my breath, I thought she was going to brake me in half with the legs' position. Excuse my ignorance, but do Midwives do deliveries at hospitals? I know you are planning on having a home birth, I was just wondering.

Yes there r 2 types of midwives, CNM and CPM, CNM is more of a hospital background, while CPM is more holistic background. I've chosen a CPM. They both do hospitals, birthing centers, and I THINK only CPMs do home births. Even if u still wanted to go with an ob/gyn but wanted some of that midwife exp, check into getting a doula for your birth and/or postpartum. I LOVE my midwife and the exp I have had so far.

Im only 13 weeks so i still have about 5-7 weeks till my ultrasound and we are having a hard time not knowing we are having. We have a girl right now who will be 3 on friday. Hoping for a boy but as long as its healthy. You look so happy by the way! Hope may/june comes fast for you. I have till the end of July. HOT! Good luck!

We found out the gender of our son at 16 weeks, maybe u can make an appointment w/ a fetal imaging place like we did, then u wouldn't have so long to wait! :)

You have the cutest belly! And I can't see your birth marks at all, you skin looks perfect. My stomach is the same size as yours but it grows to almost 36 inches in the evening when I've eaten too much. As far as your weight goes, just remember that 1 gallon of water weighs 8 lbs so you can vary a lot based on water retention. And I just bought those same Target pants and wore them on the vid I did today. Thanks for sharing, your videos are wonderful!

My daughter & I just got out of the hospital for a very bad tummy virus. I just ate 1 poptart, the first food that I have ate in over 2 days literally... Up until this morning I haven't even been able to keep water in me w/ out it coming out directly after. So I'm sure I don't weigh near as much as I did. My belly looks so much smaller, and my face just looks sick. It's been a rough weekend.

Oh that's awful! You must've been so worried about the baby, you poor thing. You were already so tiny and thin and now this. Eat lots of pop tarts to make up for time lost! :) I'm just glad you and baby and your daughter are back at home and doing better.

I wasn't that worried at 1st, it was after the fact my husband had freaked out on me, and asked every 3 minutes "R u sure we don't need to go to the hospital?" That I finally gave in and was worried my self since my daughter is under 1 and I'm pregnancy dehydration could happen to quick and very severe in a flip of switch. Just got a call from hubby @ work he's cutting the night short and on his way home w/ the same mess we had... :(

Well sure it's a lot of work but even that much more reward comes with the hard work I'm sure? Those first few weeks of my daughters life, when she woke every hour for a feed during the night, I would DREAD getting out of bed, but the moment I picked her up, turned the light on and looked into those eyes I felt so guilty for ever wanting to stay in the bed for another minute or so, she made it worth every bit of sleep I lost just getting to see, hold, kiss, and nurse her. U get x8 of that!

I love watching your weekly videos, I am about a week behind you in my first pregnancy and couldn't be more excited!!
We found out a couple of weeks ago (week 18) that we are having a girl but have to get another ultrasound done today because of poor pictures, so I guess we will find out for sure if its a girl or not! You hear about all of these stories where they are told one gender and it ends up being another!

Oh I'm sure it's a girl then, that is when we found out the gender of our daughter at 17w5d, so basically 18 weeks, and obviously she's a girl. Your far enough that I doubt it would be wrong. Congratulations :)

Hey Lucy. I am so excited for you and your family and it's great that everything is going well. I wish my belly looked half as cute as yours when I was preggo. I ended up getting quite a few stretch marks in my 3rd trimester! But well worth it! LOL I even used Palmers tummy butter and it didnt work! :( Always excited to see your updates. Makes me excited for when I have my next. My older sister and I are 10 months apart and we are real close. I want that for my kids. Well take care!

Most that do get them get them in the 3rd trimester. I got my first one w/ my daughter at 27 weeks on my butt. I'm just lucky they stayed on my butt and my butt only. I didn't use lotion there b/c I didn't think I'd get there, dunno why since I already had a few there from puberty, but this time teh lotion is going every where, lol.

Tailbone-yes, ALTHOUGH mine is severely broken, and there isn't any additional amount of pain from the norm so I don't think it's pregnancy contributed...

What kind of lotion have you been using/ used with your daughter? I have been using the Palmers but I think it smells terrible! I have been super itching as well! I would highly recommend the Palmers anti-itch oil stuff its so wonderful it really just feels like the itch fire is being put out (-: I got a mini travel bottle for $1 at Motherhood.

Oh that is awesome you get to have a 4D scan!!! I'm jealous. We've only got to see our little one in 4d once, and that was at 16 weeks, when he was like alllllllll bones and no fat so he looked really weird. We are getting a 4D scan later around 27 weeks when he has more fat on him, and we can tell what he looks like. They are just so much fun!!!! R u hoping for a boy or girl *other than the obvious healthy*?

The first week was probably the easiest, your still on the natural high from having your baby you feel like you can conquer anything, and nothing bad will effect you. It was after the first week where I ran into some trouble w/ clogged ducts, and not getting enough sleep due to the frequent long feedings.

Have you tried undressing her down to the diaper during feeds? Doing a diaper change before feedings to wake her up all the way? Rub her back occassionally during the feed to make sure she stays awake? Switching breast after 10 minutes to wake her up? Those are a lot of things we had to do, we would use the same breast but switch positions from cradle to football, so forth.

I change her b4 feedings, strip her naked, switch breasts. I even have rubbed her with a baby wipe to try to keep her awake. A nurse told me to play with her feet cause babies hate it, and she kept on sleeping. Once I take her off to burp her shes wide awake and rooting around for more, but once I put her back on ZZZZZZZZ

Aweeee your just that comforting to her, very sweet but I'm sure it is challenging and at times can be trying to the nerves. Have you tried feeding her w/ a light near by over the two of you? I know that would always help w/ my daughter. It seemed to bother her enough she would continue to squirm and stay awake. Once I figured that out I'd set up my BFing area in the corner where we had two windows that met and were ALWAYS super sunny, it worked out great. Do u have a spot like that in ur home?

use cocoa butter creme (not lotion)on your belly and strech marks now and routinely once a dayand they will go away. I had not a single one where applied it i used vaseline too

Yay for week 21!!! I went to Target on Wednesday, and I was soooo amazed at their selection of baby clothes. I saw some of the cutest outfits, and I was so bummed that I could'nt buy a single one! Oh well. Just one more week and I am losing my mind and my husband's wallet!! LMAO!!!!! I'm thrilled that everthing went good with your u/s and I'm so jealous of all the pictures. =(

LOL!! I NEVER weigh myself! I don't find out my weight unless I go to the doctor...i'm scared to see what i've gained. With my daughter, I gained 60 pounds. So far, (32, almost 33 weeks pregnant) i've gained 18!!! My cravings have been so different this go-around. I've been eating alot of salads and carrots with ranch! I made sure that my weight gain wasn't up that high again! Your belly is just so cute!

Ideally for someone my size your supposed to gain 30 lbs, so a 1 lb a week on average once the 2nd trimester comes around. With that said u can gain nothing one month and then the next 4 lbs in 1 week, so a lb a week on average.

When regarding fundal measurements yes ur right. But that is the measurement from the top of your pubic bone to the top of ur uterus, and I am measuring 1 week aka 1 cm ahead on that.

Of course, he'll have his own set, he has to, for 1 ur right they r 2 close in age 2 do that, #2, her furniture is straight up girly!!!!! lol No way could it be used for a boy. We plan on buying his furniture w/ in the next 2-3 weeks, BUT we can't pick it up and bring it home until we move... Which is the ONLY reason we haven't started the nursery yet. W/ our daughter by week 20 we were like almost done. haha. Everythign is picked out and planned htough, just waiting to move into our house.

Stretch marks are just one of the lovely things we can expect to happen and if it doesn't then wow. Just get up VERY slow! I was like that w/ my daughter. Girl clothes are a lot of fun, so many dresses :) WalMart has a TON of super cute dresses out right now for girls. I just noticed that yesterday. Love either name.

I get pregnancy rash on my face. When I am done with my shower and I get out to put lotion on, I have these red patches on my face. It is aweful. I have to CAKE ON the makeup if I am going out. And my skin is extra dry!

Yes, I'm not a big fan of their jeans, they are more stretchy type of jeans, vs actual jeans and I prefer actual jean type of material.
