People who were there in the war want to forget what happend and not to be reminded everyday.., because of the everyday reminder is why there is still hate within our people. Thats number one, the desire of Serbia for Croatian historical territory. The other reasons for the bad blood is that after WW1 the Serbs stole Croatia's wealth and murdered Croatia's Pacifist leader in 1929, Mr Stjepan Radich. The Serbs also murdered at least 900 other Croatian intellectuals in the years before WW2.

I think Bosnia-Herzegovina needs to have a better political system in place so it can move forward, the current situation is not going to do much for the country. The biggest problem from what I can see is the Serbs dont really want to live in Bosnia-Herzgovina. They still dream of a Greater Serbia. Thats a huge problem for everybody, in the region.

I have often wondered about the stupid & unnecessary conflict that broke out in central Bosnia between the muslims and the Bosnian Croats, why do the Croats get the blame? After all they were in the minority there, were militarily outnumbered and practically had no heavy weapons. For most of the conflict they were cut off from the other Croat areas of B&H. They couldn't mount any large scale offensives to retake land, they could only barely defend themselves. Yet they get blamed. I wonder why.

The Bosnian Muslims (Bosnjaks) are ethnically mainly converted Croats (converted from the 16th to 19th century). Some are converted Serbs i.e Vlach nomads. The rest ,a small minority,are of Turkish/ Arab Middle Eastern origins. A lot of the Turks, about 120,000, fled Bosnia for Turkey in the 19th century when Austria annexed Bosnia-Herzegovina.

The war in Bosnia was tragic but now that time has passed, the propaganda and outright fabrication of history can stop. According to the latest study from Sarajevo, less than 100,000 people from all sides died. Not the inflated figure this video reports of 278,000. Nonsense.
And of those 100,000, about 65,000 were soldiers, mainly Muslims. So less than 35,000 civilians. Tragic yes, but not the ridiculous figure of almost 300,000. That also somehow implies they were all Muslim. Not true.
Second, the statistics I posted come from Sarajevo. They were published last year. As a result, if you read any account of the war in recent news casts, they all now say "100,000 died in the war..." So Orwellian! The number just changes overnight and everyone forgets about the false one. If you send me an email address, I can send you the actual details, the Bosnian author of the study and the news reports about it.

exactly its all politics. Milosevic and Tudman had planned to split Bosnia into 3 parts in 1991. This war would have never ended up like this if Saudi Arabia didn't put pressure on Bill Clinton to not let Croats and Serbs in Bosnia get independence. A lot of innocent muslims died but the ultimate losers were Bosnian Croats and Bosnian Serbs
I think the fighting started between the Bosnian Croats and muslims after the international community started putting peace plans forward with maps. If it wasn't for the Bosnian Croats putting up a decent fight in 1992 against the Serbs the Muslims would of got wiped out by the Serbs. It took the muslims and Bosnian Croats too long to see sense and stop fighting and start operations against the real enemy the Serbian Chetniks.
It was a conflict of interest. Croats were fighting the bosniaks for Herzegovina, it was going to be a part of Croatia. But Clinton told Tudman to leave Herzegovina to the Bosniaks, the Saudis were pushing for that agenda and the USA has to listen to the Saudis. The Bosnian Serbs then wanted independence from Bosnia but were denied by USA and its allies. Bosnia is in the same situation Yugoslavia was prior to the war. 1.5 million serbs and about 800 thousand croats are not happy

I survived a war in Bosnia and I know how it was and what happend there by posting this you are not making anything better. People who were there in the war want to forget what happend and not to be reminded everyday.., because of the everyday reminder is why there is still hate within our people. We need to move on and rebuild our nation and not live in the past.It happend no one is dening it but what we will do to make it better. This video is not a step forward in rebulding our nation..

@grujaphc Yes, I did watch it. I think the fact that the world does not admit it--that Serbs are mad at Croats and Muslims for genocidal acts during WWII--may be the biggest reason why the Balkans had the wars after communism failed.
If close to a million Serbs were exterminated--that would be almost 10% of the Serbs during WWII. How many more were wounded or imprisoned? How many had relatives who were killed?
Why did the Croats/Muslims think the Serbs deserved this?

Thats number one, the desire of Serbia for Croatian historical territory. The other reasons for the bad blood is that after WW1 the Serbs stole Croatia's wealth and murdered Croatia's Pacifist leader in 1929, Mr Stjepan Radich. The Serbs also murdered at least 900 other Croatian intellectuals in the years before WW2.

I think Bosnia-Herzegovina needs to have a better political system in place so it can move forward, the current situation is not going to do much for the country. The biggest problem from what I can see is the Serbs dont really want to live in Bosnia-Herzgovina. They still dream of a Greater Serbia. Thats a huge problem for everybody, in the region.

I have often wondered about the stupid & unnecessary conflict that broke out in central Bosnia between the muslims and the Bosnian Croats, why do the Croats get the blame? After all they were in the minority there, were militarily outnumbered and practically had no heavy weapons. For most of the conflict they were cut off from the other Croat areas of B&H. They couldn't mount any large scale offensives to retake land, they could only barely defend themselves. Yet they get blamed. I wonder why.

The Bosnian Muslims (Bosnjaks) are ethnically mainly converted Croats (converted from the 16th to 19th century). Some are converted Serbs i.e Vlach nomads. The rest ,a small minority,are of Turkish/ Arab Middle Eastern origins. A lot of the Turks, about 120,000, fled Bosnia for Turkey in the 19th century when Austria annexed Bosnia-Herzegovina.

I know about the existence of Handzar SS and Kama SS divisions, and they were placed in Croatia, their tasks were strictly BATTLEFIELD operations directed against partisans in Croatia. I don't see how the hell they could kill almost a million serbs within a period of only 7 months, when we know that they were formed in February 1944,and their existence as a unit was over in September 1944. The thing you're saying is related to USTAŠE, who killed serbs in concentration camps!

What book, and who is the author of that book? Do you know how many soldiers a division has? maximum is 20 000 soldiers. And according to german sources, Handžar division had only 10 000 volunteers. So you're claiming that 10 000 soldiers (which were appointed to battlefields, not urban areas) killed 400 000 serbs in just 7 months? That's just impossible and you're just too radical to accept the real truth. Deal with it.

The war in Bosnia was tragic but now that time has passed, the propaganda and outright fabrication of history can stop. According to the latest study from Sarajevo, less than 100,000 people from all sides died. Not the inflated figure this video reports of 278,000. Nonsense.
And of those 100,000, about 65,000 were soldiers, mainly Muslims. So less than 35,000 civilians. Tragic yes, but not the ridiculous figure of almost 300,000. That also somehow implies they were all Muslim. Not true.

Second, the statistics I posted come from Sarajevo. They were published last year. As a result, if you read any account of the war in recent news casts, they all now say "100,000 died in the war..." So Orwellian! The number just changes overnight and everyone forgets about the false one. If you send me an email address, I can send you the actual details, the Bosnian author of the study and the news reports about it.

I think the fighting started between the Bosnian Croats and muslims after the international community started putting peace plans forward with maps. If it wasn't for the Bosnian Croats putting up a decent fight in 1992 against the Serbs the Muslims would of got wiped out by the Serbs. It took the muslims and Bosnian Croats too long to see sense and stop fighting and start operations against the real enemy the Serbian Chetniks.

It was a conflict of interest. Croats were fighting the bosniaks for Herzegovina, it was going to be a part of Croatia. But Clinton told Tudman to leave Herzegovina to the Bosniaks, the Saudis were pushing for that agenda and the USA has to listen to the Saudis. The Bosnian Serbs then wanted independence from Bosnia but were denied by USA and its allies. Bosnia is in the same situation Yugoslavia was prior to the war. 1.5 million serbs and about 800 thousand croats are not happy
