Season 1 Awesome, Season 2 Ace at times, Season 3 Terrible, Season 4 Perfect, Season 5 Had its good moments, Season 6 Just amazing! The point is, Season 1,4 and 6 had proper serial killers in them that Dexter went after. In 2 there was no serial killer it was just Dexter getting chased, but the rest was awful. Season 3 was terrible and the skinner was lame and Season 5, Jordan Chase was good but he wasent a real serial killer, just some guy who ordered people to kill. Thats why 1,4,6 rule

@djwhitty You’re judging the seasons based on the villains and not the quality. Season 3 and 5 were both awesome because they focused on character development (I’d love to see season 6 even come close to the quality of the scene in the season 3 finale where dexter talks to harry and embraces the fact that he will be a father, or become as intense the cat and mouse game between him and Miguel). This is season has been a major let down as far as quality goes, the writing is just laughable at times

@WispyNips Yes I do agree with you in some terms but I had to fit it all into the message. Season 3 was good when it comes to points like that but still compare to stuff like they did in Season 1 and 4, it not great. I thought the episode with Brian and Dexter in season 6 was dreadful but so far thats the only shit episode I seen from Season 6. Dexter driving around shooting a gun? Thats not Dexter! I don't "completely" judge season on the villains, but they play a main part for me.

@WispyNips YES! i was actually about to write the same thing. except i don't agree with season 5, i think that was the worst. loved 2 and 3, they were so intense. and the dexter/doakes moments were the shows best in my opinion (even better than trinity).

they've really changed how they do things in 6.. the editing is really awful in some moments, and debs story doesn't seem real.

the major problem is all the characters keep flip flopping their personalities way too much.

but better than 5.. just

agreed. character death should add something to the plot, and I just can't see his death adding to anything. though, we do need some real development. last season gave us no real development in terms of main story.
