What if you have a large tomato inside the cage? Are you able to to get it through the wires or will you have to get it from the top?

I grow mostly cherry tomatoes, so this is not a problem. sometimes I need to get them thru the top or bed the wire wider to get them thru.

I suggest you increase the diameter of those cages the plants are much easier to manage. maybe another 12 inches or so will make a huge difference i the amount of pruning you would need to do and increase production at the same time.
