Click the "Get Path" button in the save element dialog box.

How should you convert the lift? Should you delete the control points and make it straight?

It's not necessary to delete the control points (I don't). Just highlight them all, convert it to a lift. Then, adjust the properties of just the last lift segment to set the speed, etc.

It's up to you...I usually don't.

You have to use the NL editor for doing that.

The default setting in the "Save Element" dialog box is to save the entire element.

Why did you save each section separately?

It makes it easier when importing them into the NL editor. By exporting them separately, I know when one section ends and the other begins.

You mean in the NL editor? You just highlight the node you want to remove and hit the delete button on the keyboard.
