If you havent already, buy the album Michael Brecker " Pilgrimage" With Pat Metheny (my personal favorita jazz musician) Brad Mehldau and Herbie Hancock con pianos, Joh Patitucci on bass and Jack Dejonette on drums INCREDIBLE ALBUM oh and of course the all great Michael Brecker. I got it yesterday and it's a real masterpiece

it's really a pitty, what a bad sound technican can do: new heard Brecker sound so bad... anyway albeit the the soundtechnican was bad, Brecker sounds still a lot better than many other saxophoneplayers... I miss his creative and high energy playing

of course it's the sound guy! anyone who has ever played knows that sound engineers act like they know everything, but very few do... i saw Brecker at Yoshi's back in 1996 and i sat directly in front of him and he had the greatest tone i've ever heard from a horn, he blew my mind to Neptune and back, the guy was absolutely phenominal!!

Pffff.... sound engineer is a real job, not a game, being a sound engineer means you are really at home with the sound system, etc... They could have employed a better one for this gig !
