  • ok but how long does a tattoo take to heal? about 2 weeks?

  • thanks bro this vid helped alot. just got tatted on my arm last friday.

  • how long should I keep the tattoo wrapped in plastic wrap after getting the tattoo done?

  • after my sewing needle/ballpoint pen ink tattoos i always use high octane gasoline to clean them. works always like a charm!

  • i only wash tattoos during full moon phases.... it's my religion...

  • You sound just like the guy who did my pieces. For sure the best video I've seen on youtube. I'm sure I'm not the only one who appreciates the upload.

  • wow.

i thought you were jason dunn the singer.

  • thank you for the info.....my tattoo was a lttle scaby and iched a lot as you said but it healed well...

  • Get home and wash it already!?!

    Like after 10 minutes??

That's the first time i hear this version....

Most say 2 to 4 hours. Some say even 10 to 12 hours.

But immediatly? wow.... isn't it good to let all the blood lines close before washing it off?

  • Well Phyle9, That would be assuming you only live 10 min. from the shop? Alot of my customers are hours away, The Idea is to keep it clean. I think a good washing a few times a day is fine. Some times a tattoo will be messy and its good to keep the mess to a minimal for cross contamination purposes. Keeping a tattoo clean will help stave off a bacterial infection like staff/ MRSA. The video is just a reminder.

  • @jasonclaydunn Should I use Fucidin H for the healing process?

  • basically all the bandage does is soak up extra ink. im a nurse and by the time you get home your gonna be good and closed up, it doesnt take that long from a large needle, and we all know tattoo needles arent big at all. meaning only 3 layers of skin normally. we pull large gauge IV's out and they close within minutes. even though i use A&D and antibacterial frangrance free soap the first day, and then the same soap and lotion the next days, i commend jasons commitment to aseptic technique.

  • good info, thank you for sharing!

  • Good video.

  • Good video! Nice that it actually explains the do's and dont's plus giving a real reason. Deffo recommended for 1st timers!

  • thank you! I just got myself a first tattoo... ("smile more often" in italian language written on an old pergament scroll done by Franco in Gorizia / NG)

  • i found this very helpful thank you :)

  • i,m about 20% covered in ink and also tattoo as my hobby ,just friends and worked in a couple of tattoo shops .and i find keeping the tattoo clean as you said but keeping it rapped in cling film and making sure that is cleaned every 3-4 hours if needed , adding a healing cream as you said re rapping it with fresh cling film for 5-6 days ....perfect every time

the hardest bit about a tattoo is the healing and must be kept clean at all times

  • thank you :D

  • awesome!
