  • Do bananas work on the level of the lymph? Would they be a good way to come off of a 7 day liquid fast?

  • cool, so about 10k calories a day then. Pretty standard for marathon runners :P people so shocked haha

  • ehhhhh

  • OMG Dude, your kitchen s amazing, I wish I had all this fruit! :)

  • Where do you live??? I can't find any of that stuff on Vancouver Island...

  • Those green grapes, oranges and pineapples look so good.

  • Wow, that's a lot of fruit. so good, yummy.

Good luck at the race guys.

  • these people look absolutely disgusting

  • @Karmara7 I see you liked a video of Ronnie Coleman. Does he not look disgusting?

  • lol it never ends!!!

  • im still not convinced that this is a natural diet, how could we find this much fruit in the wild during an ice age?

  • @llwayneio because for one...we are tropical animals (primates in fact).....if you dont beleive me turn off the heat in your house during the winter and colder times...dont wear clothes or jackets when your chilly.....plus in an ice age...you would either die out or have to find a way to survive....we can survive on almost anything for varied amounts of time with varied amounts of health...but to thrive and be healthy one must eat a diet designed for their species...

  • @llwayneio Before you say oh but chimps eat meat.yes they do but they only eat during dry season generally when their every day food is not available...anything other than raw fruits and veg make up a very very small % of the higher primates diet. I would only condone meat eating on a small level...preferably raw...not very often. I say that because we need b12. A healthy body with healthy flora may make enough, but a bit of raw meat or unwashed organic veggies from healthy soil will do the job

  • Nice!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • maybe you guys could eat the remains of osama bin laden during your race, kind of a cannibal reversal of the eden diet?

  • i would worry about not having a condensed caloric food intake during such a long run... you really are ASKING FOR IT as far as doing the GRAZING DIET thing when running so much... you better eat ALL THE TIME... i can see Dean K. eating his massive meat sandwich... LOL... hey, thats the advantage of being a raw fooder and vegan, we get to eat more... but when running THAT much!? i wish i was a raw fooder and i did try to eat only raw as much as possible when i ran!, dead food lags ya!

  • Instead of buying all that fruit, wouldn't it have been cheaper -- and nutritionally equivalent -- to just buy a sack of sugar and a bottle of multivitamins?

  • @hitssquad LOL, i make this argument about those OVERLY successful "5 hour energy" little bottles - you can do the same thing, just buy some cheap coffee, vitamins and a few other things... sure, less convenient but MUCH cheaper overall... its mainly condensed coffee, a vitamin B complex, some proteins and just a few other ingredients, hardly unique... but i see how its packaging is the message, as the MEDIUM IS THE MESSAGE in this case, as opposed to focus on what you really get...

  • @hits you also remind me of ANN TRASON drinking coca cola during a run or two... hope it was not some endorsement deal! i would NEVER run on that crap! but somebody like her could get away with it! these guys around this vid should know of trason, one of the all time great ULTRA-MARATHONERS (MAN OR WOMEN!, but especially women! -- she did western states several times i guess... i guess she is retired? well sort of, but at 50 years old your peak is over, even though some peak well into 40s!

  • @hitssquad to answer your question, an obvious no...but like always, you make a point!

  • @glorp896 "you also remind me of ANN TRASON drinking coca cola during a run [...] i would NEVER run on that"

Why not? It's the same thing as fruit -- minus very small amounts of protein, fat, vitamins and minerals. Perhaps the best sugar-heavy nutrition for a marathon would be a camel-back filled with thick sugar-water with vitamins, minerals, and MCT oil added. Breakfast before the run might optimally be a dozen eggs -- for the protein, fat, lecithin, and other nutrients.

  • @hits i wish i had that one pager i posted at work about coke... engine cleaner, rust remover, phosphoric acid, etc... i've heard you are better off having a beer after a run than a coke... you remind me of ROCKY and his big egg breakfast... MCT oil? "Medium chain triglycerides oil is designed to substitute or supplement fat calories in the diet of patients who poorly digest, absorb, utilize conventional food fats." interesting! thanks for the plug hits, i can always count on you for education

  • @hits "Soda is the quintessential junk food—just sugar calories and no nutrients," says Michael F. Jacobson of Center for Science in the Public Interest, if i remember correctly MANY years ago he ranked coke a -44? i couldn't find his food scale, just looked... he does have a diet score test you can take, he boldly quantifies foods as to rank-worthiness... he reviews new food products all the time - of course ideally these foods should all be handled collectively in one diet, which he does

  • @hitssquad wow, this jacobsen guy in wiki is being given credit for coining JUNK FOOD and EMPTY CALORIES. i've been a fan for decades myself... just broached his website a bit more... LIQUID CANDY is what he calls soda; reminds me of vegan pop doc John McDougall at the 1st or 2nd annual health fair at Disney many years ago calling milk LIQUID MEAT (i guess john influenced michael or the other way around?

in any case hits, you have your competition of "summarizers", concise phrase equaters?

  • @hitssquad yo hits, check out his version of being fruity: "What is Fruitarianism: My Definition" (marnstein's amazing diet!)

THE INUIT BE DAMNED! TAUBES SHALL PERISH! i'm afraid this guy might live forever... adam and eve eat your heart out!

2:46 LOL, my refrig actually looks alot like this, plus the stuff that makes me fatter! and too bad he doesn't like broccoli and collard greens, which i eat alot of... amazing how he could consider these HEAVY - i'm afraid he might start levitating

  • @hitssquad Definitely not nutritionally equivalent.

  • @hitssquad Def not anywhere close to being and equivalent.....dont even get me started on "vitamins" lol....

  • Comment removed

  • @yahosna40x "not anywhere close to being and equivalent.....dont even get me started on "vitamins""

The vitamins in multivitamin supplements are different from the vitamins in the modern high-sugar junk-food called "fruit"?

  • @hitssquad

What fruits are you referring to? Look for an article called "The Nutrient Composition Of Some Edible Wild Fruits Found In The Transvaal" published in the South African Journal of Nutrition and for an article called "Australian Aboriginal plant foods: a consideration of their nutritional composition and health implications" published in Nutrition Research Reviews.

  • @Jonathan0491 "Look for an article called"

Regarding what? What am I supposed to be looking for in those articles? The authors claim to have found fruits with no sugar in them? We already know of such fruits. They're called "avocados".

  • @hitssquad There are many wild fruits that are as rich in sugar as cultivated varieties. This is apperant to anybody who has gathered ripe wild berries. In Africa and Australia there are many large and sweet wild fruits as well as the Amazon, as a few examples. Even cactus fruit in North America can be processed into a dense sweet syrup. What fruits were you referring to? I reckon for every cultivated sweet fruit there are more sweet wild fruits.

  • @hitssquad Kano and Mulavwa (1984) estimated that for bonobo's at Wamba, fruit comprises between 80-90% of their food intake. Have you studied the carbohydrate content of these fruits?

  • @hitssquad that is essentially what this diet consists of that and some fiber

  • no

  • @ttown1851 "no"

Please explicate. I wrote several comments. Which were you responding to?

  • @hitssquad ROFL

  • @hitssquad sugar & bottle of multivitamins = acid... fruit (in general) = alkaline

  • @adamnylander "alkaline"

    In terms of what?

  • @hitssquad In terms of bio-chemistry.. google a bit and you will get educated soon enough

  • Awesome

  • How do I switch to a fruitarian diet in a sustained manner? I want to become a fruitarian. Whenever I give it a shot, I invariably have a relapse after that; and I really binge on everything that's bad for me. I'd really appreciate some tips that can help me switch to fruitarianism for good. Looking forward to your feedback. Love and peace. : )

  • Eat something you can go inside of.....the thoughts I just lol just joking XD.

  • This is how it´s done. Fruit + Exercise.

  • Love this video!!!! A dream come true! :0)

  • But I thought bananas were meant to make you fat?? :)

  • did you put him outside ?

  • This is a D R E A M (but I wouldn't want to run the 100 miles for it).

Congrats for what you are accomplishing!

  • Yeahhh!

  • WOooww.

  • Hahaha..I guess that means you are not coming home Michael. You have landed in heaven over there. Richard looks amazing!!! Now I wish I came there with you. We still have so much fruit here at home with your name on it..Although I have been pretty much on for 3 days now and really feel the benefits again. I don't know why I ever cheat on fruit. It has always been so loyal to me. I think I am back on now and really ready for it now. The fruit is so great and perfect fuel for running!

  • you guys look more rip than Bruce Lee!!!! LOL

  • Impressive. You guys are looking damn fit too! Good luck at the race. You're an inspiration Michael.

  • @runtillyoupuke runners are better people, pure and simple... i can be elitist in many unpopular ways, but to add to this raw fooding! he is beyond inspiration to me... the next evolutionary step, he better watch out, he might be starting some new species if he evolves too much and breeds... but maybe we need to get to breathatarianism first? those ETs don't look like they have very large mouths to stuff food into... in any case we NEED to evolve OUT of homo sapiens, we really suck...
