  • i like the abyssinian a little better. but this cat is still incredibly cuuute.

  • Awesome There's a cat called "Somali"?! I didnt know. I will get my Somali self a Somali cat. Just perfect. lol

  • looks like a fox :)

    so cute

  • Land of Punt , the origins of ancient-egyptian pharaohs , even their cats looked like two Kings of cats , the pharaohs of cats ! loll

  • Gorgeous cats, one of my favorite breeds. Ironically, I prefer the looks of all active cat breeds - somalis, bengals, maus, savannahs, but more laid back cats are more suited for my lifestyle with my being away at work 8 hours a day. Not to mention what a stress such an active cat would create for my lazy 11-year old cat (just a regular mixed breed) who is used to ruling the house. Oh well, at least thanks to these videos I can enjoy looking at them. Might go to a cat show just to watch them.

  • Oh God, I used to have on of these cats, and everybody disliked him beacursed he wasn't the kind of cat that wants to be petted. I never really was a pet kind of person, but somehow we got a special bond, beacurse i respected him, he was by my side whenever i was sad.

    Good times.

  • my somali likes to attack me...specially my left arm buuut i still love her

  • The best cat!! I have one named foxy, and this video is right one the spot about the breed!

  • I would love an active cat too, I think, but some times I just wanna chill and have a kitty just sit there and relax with me. I think a Somali would make a better "loan-cat" than an "own-cat".

  • mushy

  • Haha...I have a Somali cat as well!

He's truly a good fun and sleep companion!! I shared half of pillow with my Somali.

Also, tthere were once he look at me kept on meow meow meow, I got his hint and followed him...he bring me to the washing machine. He thought why there were noise coming out.....

When I am using computer, he will play with the arrow on the screen! Love them so much!!

  • I love the little dance move the woman did at 1:22. ^.^

  • I want either this breed, an Abyssinian or a Bengal.

  • i love the tail and face ^-^

  • Holy shit! The HUGE tail!

  • i love somali kittiesss soo adorable!!

  • I've never really wanted a longhaired cat - too much fur, you know - but I think I'd make an exception for one of these beauties.

  • Foxy kitty!

  • The tail is so poofy!

  • This woman has a cute accent. :3

But gah! that is an adorable cat. Mi-rao =^.^=

  • nice halloooooooo!

  • Who gave it that name and when???

  • that is some beautiful looking cat

  • How about shedding? Little or a lot?

  • Somalis shed their fur twice a year.

  • i want to get one, i'm somalian too and i like cats for real !

  • m8 its from my country...somalia

  • cn somali cats be light oranged cats????

  • Do Somali cats love dogs??

  • I'm getting a red "sorrel" or should I say cinnamon, lol, so many. In Jan next year. I have an Oriental (Siamese basically) already so I hope they get on well.

  • my somali (pepper) used to fetch balls and go for walks :) lol

  • did you have a leash for it? that would be hilarious

  • the reddish colored somalis kinda resemble foxes in a way.

  • do they come in various colors?

  • Absolutely yes! :-) CFA (Cat Fanciers Association) recognizes 4 Somali colors: Ruddy (aka "Usual"), Red (aka "Sorrel"), Blue, and Fawn. Other associations recognize Silver Somalis, and one or two variations... I'm guessing that the beautiful Somali in the video is either a Red, or perhaps its dilute version, Fawn.

  • i love cats.

  • I always noticed that they look like an Abyssinian but I didn't think there was any relation.
