This was the perfect song for this scene. It brought tears to my eyes. He wakes up with such optimism. "Okay. I'm going to try to move this rock." You can see the hope in his eyes once he screws in the lock on his carabiner. You can see the hope slowly drain out of his eyes as the scene progresses until he finally gives up. He just stares into space, because at that exact moment he knew he officially only had three options: Be found, cut his arm off, or die there.
