man i miss those days i had some good times :(

  • I remember that Looney Tunes promo like it was yesterday. It was always one of my favorites. Nickelodeon used to be so awesome. What the hell happened?

  • For some reason I started getting all teary when Happy Feet started playing. Oh, my childhood :'(

  • OMG!!! maya the bee!!! i miss that show!

  • omg it seriously makes me feel old seeing as it feels like yesterday i saw those commercials. =*(

  • OMG! I used to love Eureka's castle! Magellan was my favourite, along with the twins.

And I remember seeing that promo for Looney Tunes.

  • I want Bowling For Soup to do a cover of that "Sup-Sup-Sup-Superstar" song.

  • Well, I want Sugar Ray to do that. Or maybe Smash Mouth, Fall Out Boy, or Panic at the Disco.

  • Those would all be good choices-- but I chose Bowling for Soup because of the pun factor. Soup-Soup-Soup-Superstar!

  • i loved eureeka's castle.

  • Maya the Beed is Retro.

  • Bees?!?

  • I meant Maya the Bee.

  • Beads?!?

  • BEES!!!

  • OMG I used to love Eureeka's Castle, I remember thinking that was a real giant.

  • is so wish i was alive during the 80s and early 90s....i was born in '95 =[ i missed out on so much...i wished i lived then, it seems way cooler than now when everyone cares stupid rap and dressing like sluts and being perverted. i hate it so much and i know its only going to get worsr =[ here i am going on and on, nice commercials! so cool! =D

  • Yep, blame it on rap.

  • Were you old enough to witness T.V. shows in 2000-2003? I think that was the tail end of the Golden Era before they started pulling everything off. What really plagued T.V. was the Columbine tragedy which T.V. and Video Games were brought to the spotlight on violence by over protective parents. Then came political correctness which started creeping TV stations. God forbid that Nick showed re-runs of Invader Zim or Rocko's Modern Life or Ren and Stimpy because of gross humor and violence!

  • yeah i think so.... i dont really remember though, i was only 4-7 and im 12 almost 13 now and i have horrible memory =P still i agree i wish shows were good like this, video games did not promote violence, and rapping was as awesome as it used to be.(especially cant touch this =])

  • Yeah I'm disappointed because Sirius took their old school hip hop off, it was called backspin and this year ( I'm 21) I got some SNES and N64 games because i'm sick off XBox and for the same reason you said. With the exception of picking Resident Evil3 for the GameCube for christmas this year but thats a different type of violence XD

  • they used to show looney tunes and now they don't because it's too violent. that sucks! I'm glad i got to enjoy the 90's

  • Actually, Nick stopped showing Looney Tunes in '99 because Time Warner wanted the cartoons to be only shown on the networks they owned. Hence, the reason why from 2000-05, it was only seen on Cartoon Network and Boomerang. The reason they're not on now is just because they're not popular enough. : (

  • Anamanics, Tiny Toons, Pinky & The Brain were on Nick

  • You can thank the Columbine tragedy and political correctness for the lack of so called *violence* on T.V. I swear to God, they can show shows like 24, CSI, and so forth but God forbid that we show politically incorrect shows like Rocko's Modern Life, Ren and Stimpy, Invader Zim etc.

  • I thought 90s will never be cheesy, but now they are as cheesy as they get!

  • man colgate junior was the shit

  • dam the tooth paste commercilas were the best.

  • That toothpaste tasted like cherry,

  • Oh my god that Fred penners dude is scray...

"I like to have fun with you"

    WTF?!?! XD

  • damn that Colgate Juniors did taste good.

  • I love the 90's! I was born in 1985 which makes me 23 & watching these commercials take me down memory lane. Ahhh the good times :)

  • I want Fred Penner's salmon-colored pants. Badly.

  • I MISS THAT OLD DRAGON SHOW.

  • captain caveman sponsored by cheerios?

  • I remember the Colgate Jr. toothpaste ad from the breaks on "Pee-wee's Playhouse".

  • Mya the Bee! Holy crap dude, I thought I imagined that show. Nobody has EVER heard of that one.

  • Of course they have. I watched it as a child.

  • I loved Mya the Bee!

  • any one between 20 and 25 this and other nick shows were the thread of our existance.. the 90's was the last decade for good pop culture.. just check out the shows the movies the commercials.. the 90's ruled.. now its the spongebob generation

  • Agreed, but the 90's weren't perfect. I think they jumped the shark around '95 or '96. Though that's just around the time when my childhood ended, so maybe I'm biased.

The 80's were way more uniformly consistent in their awesomeness.

  • The 80s...Thats when I came into this world, and had absolutely no clue what was going on. The 90s were my time, and as for Nickelodeon, 1991-2004/05 was the days, man!

  • For me, Nickelodeon died when they took Nick Studios out of US in Orlando, FL. The only thing I watch on there now is Spongebob and Fairly Odd Parents.

I was born in 1986. I spent 3 years in the 80's. I remember going to see The Little Mermaid.

But to me, the 90's was just a continuation of the 80's. I guess b/c so many things from the 80's came into the 90's. Or maybe it's because I grew up old school. LOL!

  • yeah your biased. JK I was born in 87 and for the first half of the 90's I was raised on public stations like FOX, ABC, PBS, etc than my parents moved in 95 and we got cable in our house and I think those were the best years for cable (Disney Channel, Nick, CN). Saturday mornings in 99-02 was awesome for FOX kids (Men in Black, Pokemon, Sylvester and Tweety Mystery's)I think when T.V. started to die down was around 03 or so.I could write a whole book in this comment Maybe i'm the biased one XD

  • ahhh Eurekas castle gooood times

  • I used to watch Fred Penner's Place! I'm Canadian, and this show on the CBC was a favourite of mine.

  • I remember the Happy Feet song. For years I couldn't remember where I heard that "Happy Feet" song from...Now I know.

  • maya the bee looks like an anime

  • It's a Japanese cartoon, so...

  • There should so be a channel with thei retro stuff on all the time!!!

    SERIOUSLY!!!

  • I remember the Colgate Junior. I asked my parents for it when I saw the commercial. I was thinking it was the Sparkle Crest, but it was the Colgate Junior. I guess that may be why I still use Colgate for the most part to this day.

  • That Looney Tunes one is just total badass! It was a favorite of mine as a kid, and still is now!

  • I used to watch Eureeka's Castle all the time, but no one else has heard of it. I'm glad to know it wasn't just a figment of my imagination.

  • Euurreekkkaaas Caaaaastllle

  • Where has all the good stuff gone!?

  • Up to that big television in the sky... Were all good stuff on T.V. go when their canceled T_T

  • I want to be a kid again and watch eurekas castle and looney tunes all day like I used to growing up really sucks!!1

  • if you find out how to be a kid again could you let me know please?!?!

  • Nice Peach Colored Pants, Fred. In combination with that Purple sweater and white shoes, it makes him look like if someone who worked in an ice cream store stole Bill Cosby's Sweater and got horribly lost in the forest with an acoustic guitar. Good comercial collection though, even though I wasn't alive to remember it.

  • Aww... Where is Maya the Bee? I want to watch it now! Getting my hopes up...

"Su-Su-Su-Super Star!" Remember this one very very well, still love it.

Also that Cheerios mascot is horrible, and I don't remember it at all.

  • That Looney Toons commercial runs my life now.

  • I remember a promo where they used Mozart's "Eine Kleine Nachtmusik" (obviously I didn't know the name at the time) and a man sang "Looney, Looney, Looney-Looney Tunes", or something like that, over the song.

And does anyone remember "Rocky and Bullwinkle" on Nick as well? Sorry, nostalgia overload. :P Thanks for posting this!
