Ho letto qualche commento sul fatto che i cani sono carnivori, consiglio di informarsi meglio prima di dare giudizi affrettati. i cani sono animali onnivori, esattamente come lo sono gli animali umani. ed essere onnivori non significa assolutamente che ci si debba nutrire di ogni alimento per stare in salute, significa solo che si abbia la capacitá di farlo. Sono vegana, e conosco tantissimi cani vegani che godono da anni di una salute perfetta!!

Ho cominciato la dieta prima vegetariana e poi vegana perchè stranamente i miei due cani giovani e di strada da dove li avevo raccolti mi andavano in diarrea senza motivo

Così comincia a dargli prima il riso bollito senza sale con i vari intrugli consigliatimi (scatolette, croccantini)

Poi sono passato ai formaggi col riso, ma era troppo pesante per loro, e così lessi casualmente che nel guinnes dei primati il cane più longevo del mondo mangiava riso e lenticchie come base di pasto

Why can't the naysayers here complain about real abuse like vivisection? Better still, do some research. There are many vegetarian dogs in Mexico and India where there is often no meat available. Wouldn't it be more abusive to let them die? Scum like Iams carry out appalling tests on animals. No vegan dog food company does this. Yeah you should never feed your dogs grapes, raisins or sultanas. They contain a toxin which is harmful to dogs. Within the first 24 hours after consumption dogs may experience vomiting and diarrhea and then more seriously kidney failure which usually causes death. Dogs only need to consume as little as 2 grapes to experience these effects.

I had a dog I found on the street. She was probably about 1-2 years old. After a year I put her on a vegan diet. I did a lot of research first and learned that dogs are very similar to us and can thrive on a vegan diet. My dog did thrive. She was a Shepard mix and lived until about 16 years old, which is pretty long for a Shepard.
