This has become something of a cult classic -- having been "covered" by several other artist. I remember its production well though I can't remember the singer, the bulk of the music was performed by the once quite famous Turk Murphy jazz band of San Francisco. The co-lyricist was Don Hadley. All involved were somewhat surprised that this, of all the work, has becomce something of a cult classic. But pleased it's enjoyed.

One of the animation leaders of Pixar (yes that Pixar) drew and sang this piece. If you remember the "Boundin" short from the Incredibles movie... that is the same guy. Great piece, it brings back memories!
