  • how about to use that marker there, and take two lines acros and you'll get a middle

  • @AdrenalinJunky86 THIS NEEDS TO BE EXACT. THE MARKER CANT EVEN HOPE TO GET THE EXACTNESS THAT A PIN POINT OF THE SCREW OR WIRE SCRATCH. THE SCRATCH IS VERY FINE, AND THE WAY DESCRIBBED IS PERFECT MEASUREMENT, AND EASY. THANKS.

  • @muddymuddymuddmann It would be awesome if we knew exactly what cans you used :)

  • @fenderflip84 SORRY, WHEN I WASHED THE CANS, THE LABELS CAME OFF. THEN I PLACED THEM INTO THE STORAGE BOX FOR LATER USE. HOWEVER.. THE ONES YOU SEE ON THIS DISPLACER CAN, ARE FROM A CAN OF CANNED BEEF OR CHICKEN, AND THE TOP CAN IS FROM THE LARGE SIZE TUNA FISH. THEY PRESSED TOGETHER BY HAND. I JUST ADDED SOME RTV SEALER INSIDE THE TUNA CAN BEFORE I PRESSED THEM TOGETHER.

  • interesting and creative. your voice reminds me of Jack Nicholson

  • @BenPeckover Ha Ha GOOD OL' JACK,

HE'S ONE OF MY FAVs. I ALWAYS WANTED TO DO HIS PARTS. MAN HE GETS ALL THE GOOD PARTS TOO. BUT HE SHOULD HAVE BEEN IN SPACE COWBOYS WITH CLINT, AND JAMEY. I THINK HE WOULD HAVE DONE GOOD IN UNDER SIEGE. I WOULD LOVE TO SEE HIM PLAY THE PRESIDENT SOME DAY. OR DOING SOME SHAKESPEARE.

    MUDDy

  • @muddymuddymuddmann He actually plays the president in Mars Attacks!

  • @Cyroq HA HA YA HE PLAYED A GOOD PART THERE. I FORGOT ABOUT THAT MOVIE. HE NEEDS TO DO IT AGAIN WHERE HE CAN LET HIS TALENT OUT A BIT MORE.

  • @muddymuddymuddmann ummm....caps lock on every reply comment from you...wtf?

  • @brandonsg123 GOT MY REASONS, AND A LOT OF THEM TOO. IT REALLY HELPS OUT ON THOSE LONG MESSAGES THAT NEED SEVERAL ANSWERS TOO. I JUST COPY AND PASTE THEIR MESSAGE IN THE REPLY, AND THEN START ANSWERING THEM WITHOUT TYPING FULL SENTANCES. AND IT HELPS THEM UNDERSTAND WHICH QUESTION I AM ANSWERING AS WELL. THAT SAVES A LOT OF CONFUSION. BUT LIKE I SAID THERE ARE A BUNCH MORE. THANKS FOR ASKING.

  • The scrolling text takes away from your video. I am interested, and enjoy the instructional, but maybe nix the text.

  • @backyardsounds YA I TRY TO USE LESS TEXT THESE DAYS. THANKS.

    MUDDy

  • so do you show in your other vid´s how to do all of that and how long every thing needs to be?

  • @Unbeugsamkeit I DO SHOW THE LENGTHS IN INCHES AND mm. AT LEAST I BELIEVE I DID. IT'S BEEN A WHILE SINCE I DID THESE VIDEOS. ALTHOUGH I FINISHED THE FIRST ENGINE AND RAN IT ON VIDEO, I WAS NOT FULLY SATISFIED WITH THE OUTPUT. THE TIN CONDUCTED A LOT OF THE HEAT FROM THE HOT TO THE COLD SIDE. I BELIEVE THAT IF THEY WERE MADE WITH AN INSULATIVE, OR NON HEAT CONDUCTIVE MATERIAL SEPARATING BOTH ENDS, THAT THIS WOULD PUT OUT A LOT MORE EFFICIENTLY. BUT WORK, IT DOES, AND IT CAN HANDLE HEAT WELL.

  • Alright muddy, now lets make a tin can alpha stirling

  • @AntonBowie ALFA! YES I ALWAYS WANTED TO BUILD ONE. STRONGER MATERIALS WILL BE NEEDED AND SOME PRE-FAB PARTS OR A GOOD LATHE. I HAVE A MATCHING SET OF WEED EATER MOTORS I PLAN TO GIVE A TRY FOR THIS. BUT IT MIGHT BE A WHILE BEFORE I FINISH UP THE IRONS I HAVE IN THE FIRE ALREADY.

  • amazing.smart and cool.i love it.thank you

  • @flacundengus COOL USER NAME! THANKS FOR THE GREAT COMMENT. I HAD STARTED ON A NEW MACHINE THAT IS EASIER AND FASTER, BUT I JUST FOUND OUT A FAST WAY TO MAKE AN EASIER AND FASTER MODEL THAN THAT ONE... I WILL MAKE IT AS SOON AS MY NEIGHBOR FINISHES DRINKING SOME BIG 32 oz. ALUMINUM CAN BREWSKIS FOR ME.

    HAPPY NEW YEAR. MUDDy

  • you sound like an angel

  • @UncleSam493 THATs WHAT MY MOMMA SAID JUST ABOUT A WEEK BEFORE I STARTED TO TALK. I WAS A LATE TALKER. SHE THOUGHT I'DE NEVER TALK. THEN SHE SAID'" OH MY HE SAID HIS FISRT 10000 WORDS.

SHE THOUGHT I'DE NEVER SHUT UP. LOL.

    WWWWEEEEEEE.

  • Does anyone remember the sunscreen song? Because I'm convinced this dude made that song.

  • @wokflop I DONT! BUT IF YOU FIND A LINK , IT WOULD BE COOL TO GIVE IT A LISTEN TO.

    MUDDy

  • does it need any water to power the system, or just a flame?

  • @dayworld26 WATER CAN KEEP THE COLD END COOLER AND MAKE IT GO FASTER, BUT JUST THE HEAT IS ENOUGH. THE COLD END WILL GET HOT AND IT WILL RUN A LITTLE SLOWER. THE ENGINE RUNS ON A HEAT DIFFERENTIAL. THE GREATER THE HEAT DIFFERENTIAL THE MORE POWER IT WILL PRODUCE.

  • @glovztoshow LOL THANKS FOR THE COMMENT

  • Cool!! I'm gonna have to check this out. Youtube keeps deleting videos from my sub box so I gotta go back and see what I missed. I hate the new youtube.

  • @JOHNNYH8STHENWO yA i'VE BEEN GOING THROUGH A LOT OF LEARNING HOW TO ADAPT TO THE CHANGES. AND I'M NOT GETTING ALL OF MY SUBSCRIPTIONS EITHER.

  • Great video and nice work! Please don't keep us waiting for the next one. I'm ready to build!

  • hey rusty, you play those miniature gitfiddles with a lot of pizzaz. You are welcome to visit any time as long as you bring the stringed music boxes with you.

I didnt see any rust though.

Sorry about the delay in the part5 video. i blew my motor and had to rebuild it or go with out transportation. it was a pain in the boom boom. but after conquering busted head bolts and various other jaw torquing events i can gladly say....It runs like a dream.

PART 5 COMMING IN A FEW DAYS.

    MUDDy

  • Scott.... Great work as allways! I sure would like to see or hear your technique for cutting the cans so precisely. I dug how you pointed out the high and low ribs in the can, and how they make a better fit.

    Peace

    Gill

  • ya THE TECHNIQUE FOR THAT IS WHICH DIRECTION YOU CUT AND WHERE YOU CUT ON THE BLADES OF THE CUTTERS. PRACTICE CUTTING ALUMINUM CANS WITH SCISSORS.

You will notice that one way cuts with the metal pushing out and the other cuts with the metal pushing in.

When it comes to the ribbed tin cans and cutting shears, you will feel the grove. the direction you cut will be evident as well. make sure the screw that holds the shears together is tight. Just start cutting cans and wittle one ridge at a time

  • GREAT STUFF. lookin forward to the next one. thanks muddy

  • the second part will be in about four or five days. this is the intro and the part 1 is uploading right now. thanks for the comment.
