Hey Big Wet old buddy, Hope your hanging in there. I'm doing pretty well, as I have been adding to my short positions for the last several weeks & now am up about 15% on the new positions, but still down 55% on the old positions, so overall my portfolio is just down about 38%. Big improvement from being down nearly 70% as I was 2 months ago. So I'm hoping & thinking that we see Dow 9k soon, at which time I should break even. I'm hoping it goes that way. I think we just may break March 09 lows.
@uckfayu I am holding a bunch of 15 june faz calls i got at .78. Now 2.06. My sell is in for 3. I have alot in BBI right now. Thats what I needed a few 100 percent runs. BBI at .80, I will be ahead I know this market is gonna crumble, so I will just play the calls on faz. BBI holding above there MA after earnings looks promising. Twice I thined out in the .50 s and was able to reposition under .40. Hopefully this time it doesn't go to .25.. Good Luck
Just listened to the BBI conference call. You are not worried about their cash burn rate? They are doing a good job closing stores but im not sure if they are doing it fast enough. That 28 day deal is HUGE but im just not sure if they have enough cash. Less than 2 quarters at the current rate they are going if they can't work something out. What do you think?
@RVAspeculator Cash burn rate is a problem, but will change. This is a sleeper. Huge brand and the studios need them. We know nothing in this market is for real.For them to be holding above there MA today is a good sign. Slow march up threw the year unless the really blow it. Market heading to the 200 day fast and well below. Good Luck
wht happened? The GS, JPM Boyz had to clean up on their puts/shorts before today's short -Rule 201 went into affect. Then they got long on Friday, having inside info of the IMF weekend plan(this from good sources), bingo, they were already long for the gap open.
got lucky shorting using SDS, TWM, up over $1K yesterday, getting back 1/2 my losses(8% yielders I want to keep) I suggest you go to stockcharts/public charts... go to "THE ROAD MAP" charts by M. Flavin, this guy is right on the money. HFT caused this, it will happen again, never again think of "investment" in this casino fraud. I think targets could be NDX-1700, SPY 1000, Dow 10,000. study the charts I just gave you. GLTA.
11 am Kudlow says market is due to go up in this V shaped recovery. Hours later we all know what happened. Kudlow = Completely blind optimism. Irrational exuberance strikes CNBC.... again.
Meaning if there was a rise or fall of more than 60 percent from the last trade in that security at 2:40 p.m or immediately prior. So,, it only affects very few securities..
Look @ Russell on a bounce to 680, it looks shortable down to 600, use the "TWM" I had shorts DXD, SDS, today and I was up $2K when my bitchy wife barged in, and when I sold I gave up 1/2 but still a gain

Not all of them.. They will cancel trades between 14:40 ET and 15:00 ET that were greater/less than 60% from print at 14:40 ET
