God almighty...it's astonishing that most of the guys you hear repeated on the radio so very much daily don't even a thumbnail (or should I say 'thimbles-worth') of this talent and musical grace as Joanna and her band do. It's not that hard to believe when you think about it. This music has depth and honesty, which is something that is lacking in the average person. So, this is beyond most people. Everything is meant to be kept light, and lazy, and stress-less with most people. There's no sense to it, beyond that there is some sort of conspiracy to keep great things from us, which seems unbelievable, but the fact is, there's greatness all around, but we have to find it. Joanna Newsom's music is greatness.
