smaller cymbals are called splashes.. it's like a miniature version of a crash.. but it doesn't make a crash sound.. but more of a splash.. which is why they're called splashes.. they're about 6 to 12 inches and they just basically add more color to the piece. i got a 10 inch splash for my kit ^^
