Like how half of the people are just complaining about the quality rather than just paying attention to the clip, which I may add is beautifully done and choreographed. Sure it may be over the top with the use of strings. But, it still has a sort of mystical quality to it that makes the scene very interesting to see what the outcome will be. Then again, I might be over-thinking it, but I will still love this scene. I could sit and listen to the elder man's playing all day there... relaxing.

The flying part's in this movie do have a purpose, they fight in their minds. Everytime they fight in their minds in this movie flying of some sort appears. It's a little bit gay I know, but it gives a slight magical touch to the real martial art techniques they are doing. Atleast it's not as much as Crouching tiger hidden dragon. However, if I would fight this in my mind, I would devided into 10 me, and make 360x500 degree kick flips while moving in ultra speed, but that's just me.

@OzzieMS1 Its a common place thing in Chinese moves, pretty much any movie coming out of china that has fighting has those times when in the fights the actors are flying around by string. Every Movie Jet Li is in or has been in, has used these cables, and this flying around stuff is actually encouraged to look impossible in china.

I too get bothered when there doesn't seem to be a stormtrooper in the universe that can actually hit Luke Skywalker, but I suspend my disbelief for the sake of the story. And besides, a "real" martial battle is typically brutal, dirty, and short--no more than a minute at most.

When i first watched that, i was younger and couldn't appreciate the fight. I thought there was too much flying. But now, i really see they used the wires masterfully. Only real martial artists can pull those moves with ease, power, and style. The flying only complements and gives a fantasy feel to the movie.

There are 4 main martial arts actors who I would say are the "Big 4" - Jackie Chan, Jet Li, Tony Jaa and Donnie Yen. This is what you get when two come together, but unlike that stupid fucking Jet Li- Jackie Chan movie, this one is badass. Donnie Yen knows how to play off his opponents and make them look good very well, and Jet is just overall technically brilliant and fast. Some of the custom sequences in this particular fight because of the two different weapons make it so FUCKIN AWESOME
