@chride87 Grand Turismo 5, the rest are just not good enough. im getting F1 2011 but Codemasters fucked that game up too. I did Not buy F1 2010 because i knew it was gonna be bad but with a lot of improvements its worth £10-£13.

GT5 is still King though, and only about £10 - very much worth it

@THEiDriiZZle the online population for this game is great. I always find handfuls of open races with any type of race. Rally, Rally Cross, Cat N Mouse (which is my favorite) ect. The game is a blast to play online and is a real challenge. you'll have fun with it. I highly recommend getting it for online play. cheers

All the ones from DiRT 2 & 3, but new ones could be:

Expected stuff like Portugal (fast & narrow gravel), Italy (Asphalt), Great Britain (muddy gravel/asphalt), Mexico (rough gravel)

But also different stuff like: Yosemite (mountain asphalt/gravel), Russia (gravel/snow), and maybe Syria/Israel (loose gravel/asphalt).

Any other ideas?

So, it's a DX11 title. I must ask, for anyone who owns the game. Did they do what any racing game should, with a DX11 API, and actually make the tires perfectly round, rather than squared off polygons that look more like stop signs than wheels? Sure it has no effect on gameplay, but it would be nice if they actually used the epicness of DX11 Tessellation to make round objects round!

@METALhatchetMAN i have driver san fran and motorstorm apocalypse, but im getting dirt 3 soon, driver san fran is a game of skill and movie inspired car chases, motorstirm apocalypse adds extremeness online, and a good story but with very few cars, and dirt 3 is fun, but if you like rally racing or gymkhana, idk, i suggest playing the demos before buying them

@Ayman170Turbostar it is kind of. It's more similar to gran turismo then to need for speed for example, so it does use real world physics. It of course, it's definitely more forgiving than real life, like the brakes work better than they should and you'd probably slide around more in real life.

I don't usually like racing games,(save Mario Kart, but that's and entirely different kind of game) in fact I usually get bored of them within a day, which is why I never buy them.(I usually play Action Adventure, or other simulation games) But this I got free with my graphics card, and I actually like it so much, I would've bought it if I had to. Maybe it doesn't appeal as much to hardcore racing gamers, but I think it's really good for people who aren't usually into racing games.

I like all kinds of racing games. Arcade, realistic, a mix between the two. Is this game worth it? Does it have a good progression system? Are you always unlocking things? It honestly looks really fun, but I thought the same with Forza 3 and that got boring very fast with the HORRIBLY LONG RACES.

I don't think the progression system is too bad, and you are usually unlocking things. It's very simple, and most of the races aren't too long. I love the game, but at the same time, you said you like all kind of racing games, I don't, so that could probably change your view.
