I was there as I was for most of the shows at the Cuban Club that place was awesome. I used to hang out with No Fraud at their warehouse in Venice. I lost touch with Dan years ago, but saw Zak from Belching Penguins not to long ago still living in Sarasota, FL
Hell Yeh! Nothing's more hard core than No Fraud at the Cuban Club in the mid-80's. I was thirteen when I saw these guys live. Anything went at those shows, man. Nobody that wasn't there could possibly get it.
Everything's all controlled and moderated now. I don't even really go to live music any more. It's too disappointing. Bring back the total fucking chaos, man!
This band was the best local band in that time period. Believe me that is saying alot. There was no way for anyone who wasn't there to know just how fucking real it all was.
Agreed Paulie the cuban club was the best place in tampa for a few years for shows. Its had to believe now how many great bands played there.For such a small stage in the walled in courtyard basically. Looking at all the cuban club videos on here, I keep trying to find myself in them.
