I do that with my front loader to. When im getting full i make sure my tailgate is locked good , then lift up the body and pack. Its very efficient. But not many drivers do it though.
yea if u follow the yard waste he will do it 4 or 6 times to make sure hes getting the most space. the recycler does to. the trash is normally wet enough and such that it packs nicely

yea. there was a house thrownin out there old plastic bins and 3 lawn chairs near the end of the recyclers route and he packed them all just fine! A LOT OF CRUNCHING! love that

I like how you can see the packer going tho that's awesome! you should try to catch that again sometime if you can, also the slamming backwards would be funny to watch! but you gotta be in the right place at the right time with the camera going.. oh and what day did you film this?
this driver does it on a very steep hill every day and i always think it gunna tip back over! and to top it off he puts it in reverse, slams on the brakes and its fine. it would scare me shitless haha

but it has a lot to do with the position of the chair and bins ect. when in the hopper
if a bin stands up itll just spring back when the packer leaves but i know what ya mean

they only have rapid rails on residential routes
they dont own rls as far as i know
i prefer rapid rails anyway

actually what you saw when the body was raised was all the grass stuck on the back of the hopper.
when he lowered the body it all fell back in and packed again

rapid rails do that a lot to help pack the load. some drive backwards and slam the brakes to push the load back more. love it when they do that

LOL some of our MSLs would do that a lot, one driver always did it at my house and on this one steep hill (facing up the hill)! Talk about unsafe :D

haha around here u can fill it to the top with trash or recycle and they still take it.
they leave a note on the bin. if there not lazy assholes :/ been getting a lot of them lately
