  • I do that but still looks thick

  • Hi:) I use this on a daily basis to cover up my freckles because I hate them! Although sometimes it can look quite thick when I apply it but I can't apply it any less because then it doesn't cover my freckles up have you got any tips ? My freckles are quite dark and I have quite light skin.. X x x

  • @lilpwincess2010 how about a liquid foundation first?

  • hi can you explain about the shades of this product, what does the C and N's by their own mean? thank you!!

  • @AlmendraC93 I never really fully understood myself- i always have to ask a MUA in MAC! Sorry

  • @AlmendraC93 NC = needs cool NW = needs warm - for your skin tone

  • @Pinkgrapefruit02 It's actually not needs cool but rather Neutral Cool / Neutral Warm. NC would give you a more yellow look and NW is more pink. Usually, I think Cool is supposed to be pink and Warm is supposed to be yellow but this is the way MAC has classified it.

  • @AlmendraC93 C= cool and N= neutral or natural i think,

  • Hi! I was just wondering what the difference is between a MAC foundation (like that in comparison MAC foundation) and the MAC studio fix powder.

  • @beautyjunkie6027 which foundation are you trying to compare it to? the liquid version?

  • @Lisasz09 Yup, I'm just wondering what the difference is generally.

Does a liquid foundation make one look better/more glowy with better coverage?

Is a/the liquid foundation offer better coverage and can it be used on a daily basis, for events big events as well as for a day in town?

  • @beautyjunkie6027 they are both fairly matte products- their premise is that they are long wearing matte products. Liquid gives better coverage and can be used daily.

  • FANTASTIC review !

  • hey im just wondering is that the studio fix plus foundation or the studio fix pastels?

  • @Millaaee I have not heard of the pastels- sorry

  • How much is the Mac powder foundation?

  • @AnnaLorenzXo I think around 20-30 USD

  • Which MAC compact foundation would you recommend for a natural look that provides medium buildable coverage. I want it for everyday but also for special occasions for a natural flawless not cakey look. I have relatively clear skin, but it's very uneven and I get a couple of zits every now and then.x

  • @iAlanahBelle for a liquid the moneralize satin finish and for powder the MSF Natural

  • i know there are those out there that think this is too expensive for a powder. i have been using MAC Studio Fix (NC15...i'm casper's little sister) since I was in high school. I switched because there aren't any good drug store brands that have a powder that is close to my skin tone. I wear makeup nearly every single day and it takes me a year to go through one of these compacts. Sometimes it takes longer. This is a powder that has amazing staying power and you don't need a lot of it either.

  • Your tan looks awesome in this vid and I'm gonna pick one of these up. Thanx for the review!

  • Sorry I'm new to make up & I'm tyring to find the best, what exactly do you use powder for? :x

  • @AwmgProduction either to set foundation or as a powder foundation

  • WOT DID IT COST AGAIN?

  • @glitzygirlyglam $26.50 USD

  • @Lisasz09 god couldnt afford that!

  • @glitzygirlyglam At MAC containers $28-

  • @msperulovesxxoxo oooops *counters not containers :)

  • @msperulovesxxoxo kk im getting mineralize skinfinish natural i think anwyayz!!!!!

  • @glitzygirlyglam Yep. Still a good buy, have one myself! Good stuff!

  • @msperulovesxxoxo but do u like this vidz product better?x

  • @glitzygirlyglam Honestly, yes! MAC Studio Fix Powder AWESOME been using as foundation looks like skin

  • @glitzygirlyglam Well yes, MAC Studio Fix Powder has more coverage than MSF looks more natural tad bit sheer

  • If i used this over a tinted moistiriser would it looks natural :D but have oil control ? :D x

  • @coco63626 I am sure it would work but you will need to blot during the day!

  • @Lisasz09 Thank you so much ! i seriously think you are the only you tuber that replies to their subscribers ! and i love you for that :D x

  • @coco63626 no problem- glad i could help!

  • I recently went to the MAC counter and they reccomended this to me as an every day foundation. I haven't tried it yet because I haven't gotten a brush for it yet but I am really excited to use it :)

  • if i use the mac studio fix fluid will that give me an air brushed look ?

  • @savannahannlovesyou no it can be a bit cakey through the day

  • @Lisasz09 so what will give me and air brushed look ? (:

  • @savannahannlovesyou everyones skin is different- what is your skin type?

  • @Lisasz09

    VERY OILY

  • how long does it last for?

  • @Sbaston986 it depends on how often you use it

  • can you just wear this without foundation?

  • @Lisasz09 it lasts me about 8 months

  • it makes me break out :(

  • could you use this without a primer, because I heard its terrible without one and I've been debating whether to get this and a concealer or this and a primer. thanks!

  • @kittenchimera I use it w out a primer

  • I love it!

  • my sounds not workin!

Is this good for oily skin?,x

  • @xdeeshaax yes

  • Hi, Thanks for the Video.. Does this stay long.. Weather out here is very hot and i wanna try this for a party ! can u suggest any for a sweaty Skin ?

  • @annurekha I like it and think it stays well on my skin

  • If you wanted to use a powder as a foundation alone, would you recommend the studio fix, or the mineralized skin finish natural? and which one would you recommend for younger people?

  • @JEN8102 I prefer fix because I am oily but MSFN looks more natural

  • I love this product. It has such great coverage on blemishes :)

  • Lately i've been wondering about trying powder foundations bc in tx even tinted moisturizer feels too heavy on me. If i want a little bit of oil control and redness coverage and spf if possible, would you recommend studio fix powder or an msf natural? Love your reviews!

  • @strcrossedlv I prefer fix powder!

  • Hi Lisa! I love your videos. I just went to MAC today for the first time ever and bought some things. I like the foundation i have now (l'oreal true match mineral foundation) because it is super easy but I'm not sure if its the best for my oily skin. I just bought MACs blot powder and was considering buying either this or the MAC mineralized skin finish natural. If I got the MAC studio fix powder plus foundation could I return the blot powder or would I still need it?

  • @hopefulheart27 I dont feel like you need both fix powder and blot. I prefer fix powder because it has pigment to it. MSFN is nice but has a sheen to it and i prefer the fix because it is matt

  • @Lisasz09 Thank you so much!

  • i like how this video is short but you give a lot of detail about the product!!! thanks so much!! :] xoxo

  • Hi! I am new with this product so could you recommand a good primer to go with it? Thank you :)

  • Hey you say you can use Fix+ - This may seem like a stupid question but can you use Urban Decay All Nighter? xo

  • @DaisyChains23 yes- that is a setting spray

  • I love studio fix!!;) but whats the difference between msf natural n the studio fix?!

And btw, i love all your videos!! Greetings from hong kong ;)

  • @koeywinglee The fix powder is more matte the msf natural is more natural! :o)

  • i just got M.A.C studio fix here in New York and its in c4 and how do you put it on ur face so it dose not look dry??

  • @meggytron1 The product itself is a powder finish so it will have that finish no matter how you apply it. sorry

  • can i use with a wet brush or sponge for more coverage?

  • @missPandina89 I have never tried it wet- but I think you can w the sponge

  • does it matter if you use the fix plus after you put the powder foundation on?

    I just bought it yesterday,.....

  • @TwoDeeFiveGee no that helps it stay but gives more of a dewey look than a matte one

  • I have normal skin ( no real oily or dry spots) and I just need light coverage... Would this product work for me?

  • @superhinalola sure of the MAC MSF Natural

  • @Lisasz09 even if used alone as foundation?

  • i have combanation to oily skin and i'm looking to try a MAC foundation. my skin is pretty good, only get a blemish every once in a while. would you suggest a light to medium coverage or a medium to full coverage.

  • @Alabamagirl86 depends on what you like I would say to start medium!

  • @flordeespecial Sorry for the delay in responding someone marked your comment as spam. This is great for oily combo skin- you need to use a fluffy brush w it or it can look cakey.

  • i'm in n14

  • Question por favor? :) I get a little shiney during the night. What do you recommend as far as application for the Fix...by brush or by sponge? Especially for touch-ups? Your feedback is much appreciated!

  • @vOHyuer101 I would suggest using blotting papers more that fix plus- fix plus can make you look more dewey and if yoiu already feel shinny blot powder or sheets wil work best.

  • i was told my a professional that you use fix plus first and then the make up powder

  • if i am using c4 mac studio fix foudation what color do u think would match in revlon colorstay?

  • @ladygarcia25 I am not sure- I matched my revlon by taking in another founadtion that i knew worked for me and matching it through the bottle. Good Luck

  • YOU HAVE THE BEEEST REVIEWS EVVVER!

  • What do u think about using studio fix powder+foundation and then topping it off w/ msf natural. I haven't tried it but I m wondering what'll do. Thanks!

  • @medhasharma I think that might be to many powders

  • thanks!

  • For how long can i use this product before throwing it away? what i mean is does it have an expiration date?

  • @23Crysti powders you can keep or use until they get a film on top- you will see it change colors.

  • hi lisa! can you do a review on make up for ever's aqua cream eyeshadow? thanks so muchh :)

  • i have combination skin, oily in the tzone and dry cheeks i currently use the mac msf and i love it! would this be a good product too? or would it make me look cakey?

  • I have skin pretty much like yours, combination oily. I don't like to use heavy foundations, but I do like to control the oil on my skin and make it appear flawless in color and texture. So the question is :P

Which would you recommend, the MAC Studio Fix Powder, the MAC Blot Powder or some MSF Natural?

I don't understand the differences between them. Sure in name, but it appears that the final result is the same.

I don't know, could you do a review explaining the differences?

    Thank you so much!

  • @iluvenisp ok so here is the info- fix fluid is a liquid foudnation high coverage, Fix powder is a lightweight powder foundation that gives medium coverage, Blot is used just for touch ups durring the day to absorb oil, MSF is a powder foundation with medium buildable coverage that can be used on its own or together! I hope thjis helps!

  • @Lisasz09 Thank you!

    Just another quick one :P

If I use MAC Face & Body, which one would you recommend? Blot Powder or Fix Powder?

Should I get the Fix Powder since I could use to set the makeup or on its own, or the Blot Powder is also good to use on its own?

Thank you and sorry for the nagging! :)

  • @iluvenisp no bother I would suggest the fix powder w the face and body!

  • I start with the Mac concealer, go on to the Studio Fix Fluid, set my foundation with the Mineralize Skin Finish powder, and then add bronzer as needed. How can I use the Mac Studio Fix Powder for touch ups throughout the day?

  • @ForEvrMusic you can use it just to touch up the oily areas.

  • i have this power do u think i could wear this over my studio fix fluid? would it be to cakey?

  • @AlwaysMakeup yes just use a fluffy brush!

  • I have wasted money on various shades of this product but all of them make me look TAN after a while and I end up looking darker than I am.Its a great product but doesnt work for me.

  • i have a combination skin, the pblem is i cnt make out if this pdt is ideal as a foundation for my skin type. could u plz fill me in with the best foundation fr combo skin. thnxx..

  • @sesationalsen this or the liquid version Studio Fix would work great for combo oily skin!

  • i'm in truble!! i want this product really baddly, but the thing is i don't know my exact colouri have concealers in NW 15 and 20 and NC 15... the thing is that everyday my skin has like a different tint to it... and i'm not sure if i should buy NW 15 or NC 15 (those are the ones which look better) and i can't go to the M.A.C store... :(

  • @makeupfanpire the fix powder is very hard to match I am NW30 and in the powder I am N5. Sorry I wish I could help more!

  • @Lisasz09 thanks Lisa! :) i decided i was going to buy NW15

  • are the N pinker than NW ?

  • how much is it?

im 14 and i dont work or anything. i just get money from babysitting.

i could save up for this because i need a powder to set my foundation.

or i could buy a drugstore. do you have any drugstore recomendations?

  • @missgomez190 its $26

  • @missgomez190 I think it is around $25 USD- I do not know any similar drugstore products yet- sorry!

  • @missgomez190 You can find on ebay for much more less, I just paid for one at 4 $ usd

  • @00serena00x IT WAZ FAKE. for sureee!

  • @missgomez190 Oh...:| I hope no --'' I tried :|, the next week it will arrive, I will inform you!

  • @00serena00x hopefully not, but for that price im pretty sure it waz, but at least yur not lossing much since it waz cheap.

  • Thanks for the reviews!

I just commented on your review of the face and body foundation. I am a teenager with combination to oily skin and my skin isn't flawless, nor is it very bad.

I was just considering getting a foundation for usage during special events. I was thinking about trying either the mac face and body, or the studio fix powder, or MUFE HD foundation.

I trust your reviews so which would you recommend?

  • @emberwolfblossom the face and body is nice for a sheen to your face with slight coverage. MUFE HD made me very oliy. Neutrogena Healthy skin is a great drugstore option also! Good Luck!

  • i used studio fix fluid powder in nc 50 and it made me look so orange so i changed to nd 45 and i love it but i went there and mac doesnt have nc 45 only full in vc 43 so i wanna ask u how much is the differency of nc 45 between nc 43?

its really light nc 43? still i dont use it and i would like to know first than use it so i can change it

    pleaASE

  • @girlandrea19 Sorry I dont know their colors well enough to say! :o( You can call a counter or store and they should be able to tell you! Good Luck!

  • @girlandrea19 I had the same problem with the NC50 in this particular product and checked out C8 and it was perfect. If you get a chance on your next visit to the MAC counter or store, ask about the C's and N's as alternatives to get away from looking too orange or too ashy. Hope that helped =)

  • Thanks for the review! sorry if you've answered this in other videos, but when you said you still prefer your mattifier? What one are you talking about? I'm thinking about getting one and would like you to use it mainly on my T-zone and maybe my eyes so my makeup doesn't seem to leave my face so fast!

  • @AndreaJuliet ohh that is the Murad oil control lotion! :o)

  • hey! really helpful videos...your great!

may i ask what is the difference between studio fix powder and studio tech..i dont get what the difference is?? and which would u prefer to use as a everyday conceler for the whole face..? and do u perfer number c from studio fix to someone that is almost pale since it has like a yellow tone?

    thanks!!

  • @GroznySupport fix is a powder and tech is a cream that transfers to a powder- everyday I like liquid and fix powder. I was color matched for a C color in the powder!

  • @GroznySupport the difference is that studio fix powder foundation powder while the studio tech is more of a creme base. studio fix powder provides medium to full coverage and is buildable to the point where you are most comfortable where as studio tech, since it is a creme, it is a little more thick but provides complete full coverage.

  • i'm guessing that if you have really dry skin this wouldn't be such a good idea? would it only make you look dryer? I have the bare minerals powder and it is pretty good at keeping me from looking dry

  • @becca1825 I agree fix powder would not be good for dry skin!

  • Hi @Lisasz09, I just wanted to ask about the shade I should choose in studio fix powder? I'm an NC30 in studio sculpt. I tried the NC30 and NC35 of studio fix powder and it looks to light on my skin, but I'm not sure if I should go for the NC40, I'm afraid of looking orange after. Helpp and great videos

  • @monicgma it is hard to match someone with out seeing theeir skin- you should ask at MAC to be sure

  • i wish MSFNatural had a freaking mirror...why dont they????

  • @hopefulone311 haha because of the dome from the baking! :o)

  • @angiebop95 msf natural for everyday and fix for touch ups!

  • I have this powder in nc 43 and now it is wayyy to dark for me, so I use it as a bronzer or contouring :) its a nice foundation. just Sucks that I can't use it as a foundation now :(

  • bareminerals vs. mac studio fix powder? (:

  • @heytherebrotherbear I only like BE matte- the reg breaks me out!

  • how many time you can wear it without retouch?

  • @majoooooo96 probably 4 hours depends on your skin!

  • @Lisasz09 cool thanks i would buy it

  • i just bought the studio fix powder yesterday!! i can't wait to use it when i go back to school thanx for the review.

  • would this work with a 168 or 109 brush? apparently they also work for powder founations, thanks x

  • @chrystynarr yes they both work well with powder foundations

  • which one do you like better, nars foundation powder (if you have one) or studio fix powder.

  • @ALMat101 I dont own the NARS but I really like the Fix powder!

  • questions...i have large pores, do you think it will cover them smoothly? and also its summer, do you think i can wear this alone on my face because i dont really wanna put on a lot of make up on my skin during summer?

  • @illestflipmamii yes you can wear it alone- it is a good coverage powder. I am not sure it will cover pores smoothly because it is a powder so it may settle in the pores instead of on top of them- try a good primer before and that should help!

  • this was also my first product ive used for mac!

    its totally worth it. xoxo

    ^^

  • i will definitely look into dis thanks for da review (:

  • was thinking about buying this product but i'm glad i came across this video. i have very dry skin, do you think it would make me look cakey and dry out my skin even more? is there anything you would reccomend for me since i have dry skin? thanks and love your videos!

  • @gabbycheers11 I do think it can look cakey- I would recommend the mineralized skin finish natural! :o)

  • Comment removed

  • I was reading some reviews from people and they said that this only looks good on people with really oily skin and might look cakey on people with some other skin types. Would this look fine on me if I have normal skin?

  • @ub135 it is fine for normal skin but I think the MSF Natural would work better with normal skin!

  • @Lisasz09 ok thanx! :)

  • is this powder transfer resistant?

  • @majenfo no it isnt!

  • for teens who are starting to use makeup an has combination skin and just wants a nice kinda natural coverage would it be better to get the studio fix powder or the MSF natural?

  • @PuffyLuvzMusik I would say the MSF natural! :o)

  • @Lisasz09 Ah yes I was actually thinking about getting that but then another guru said that the studio fix power was a lighter powder with a little more coverage so I'm unsure

  • @PuffyLuvzMusik The powder seems lighter but the finished result for a more natrula look the MSF is better!

  • @Lisasz09 Oh I see thanks so much I'll be being the MSF Natural when I go to MAC this weekend :]

  • my sking is very greasy and I need a powder but what do you recommend for mac

  • would it be able to hide a face that goes really really red (blushing) during the day???

  • @dancer101202303 yes for a while but you would need to touch up!

  • it looks good on but it mac studio fix makes me breakout like crazy!

  • which do you prefer tech or fix? whats the difference and similarities ?

  • @babiegiRlxooxo I prefer the fix powder- sinc ethe tech is actually a foundation that dries to a powder! I prefer to use a liquid and set it with a powder! :o)

  • what kind of coverage does this have?

  • @swimloverts95 full coverage! :o)

  • I'm thinking about getting this product, but you mentioned that it works well with oily skin.

I have really dry skin, do you think I should skip on this powder?

  • @makeupwhore1124 yes this powder will stick to your dry skin- you should try the MSF natural! :o)

  • @Lisasz09 Okay, thanks! i'll try that.

  • is this good for oily skin? :]

  • @Missy010203 yes it is!
