@toffeandcarmel um first off where do you live.... i do competitive dancing with the rage dance complex in granada hills, california. its a competitive dance company and we do competitions. and if you sign up for the competition team we have tryouts for the dances and u get into certain dances... this is pretty much the way every studio does it

this girls good. she has it all: extention, core work, and balance. u can teach anyone a couple tricks and extentions, but u hav to look beyond competition and a bunch of tricks. shes amazing, but she needs to keep working. try to get her to work more with her face and pull up and she will be more than amazing. but again try to look farther than compittion. try to make her dance not for winning a bunch of trophies, because at the end of the day its just a medal or a gold cup

honestly, i used to be uncomfortable when girls at such a young age had revealing costumes as well..and i'm 19! but people need to understand that this is what judges are looking for now a days. it's not just about the dance, it's about apperance as well. judges want to see clean lines, and the way a dancer moves..small costumes allow that. if anything this costume is much more appropriate for a younger girl than it would be for a fully developed teenager.
