thats not silly music thats camron oh boy....any way i have a modified 06 charger that i drift with and everyone said it was to heavy but i do just fine with it...
ah screw them fools i rather see a viper drift then those asian cars u see all the freaking time plus how offten u see these cars drift?.. seriously lol
Actually cars don't win drift events, the drivers do. Vipers are HORRIBLE drift cars because of the heavy front end, but Sam can drift it like he's playing Need for Speed.
Heavy front end? The Viper carries only 49% of it's weight on the front and 51% on the rear. That's better than the RX-7, 240SX, AE86, Skyline, etc, etc. Please get a clue.
49%? And your telling ME to get a clue? Lol that's the funniest thing I've heard all day. I bet you got that information off Wikipedia huh? Your talking to somebody who HAD a Viper SRT. Please don't embarass yourself by posting stupid comments and stay in school.
Or do any other search for the weight bias on the 2008 SRT-10 Coupe that is in the video. They all say the same thing. Now what Mr. expert? Prove that the car is front heavy, why don't why?
Your talking about a stock 2008 Viper SRT. I'm talking about Sam's 2006 viper which modified for drifting. Sam's Red Mopar Viper carrier 57% in front and 43% in back. Why? The simple fact that heavy front end cars have a different response to powerover techniques and allow for longer drifts at a slower speed. Which is exactly how Sam Hubinette drifts. That's why it's a bad car to drift with, but Sam makes it work.
Nice try at the old backpedal. Unfortunately for you, your old comments are still visible.
"Vipers are HORRIBLE drift cars because of the heavy front end" -TexasSlide
See that? That's you saying Vipers are bad drift cars, not you trying to backpedal by saying Sam's modified Viper is modified to be horrible because he likes it that way to have an advantage in drifting. Which makes no sense, by the way. That by being horrible at drifting, it's better at drifting. LOL
As if I needed more proof that you have suddenly changed your mind and are now trying to backpedal, I have this quote:
"49%? And your telling ME to get a clue? Lol that's the funniest thing I've heard all day I bet you got that information off Wikipedia huh?" -TexasSlide
Hmmm... clearly you thought 49% front weight bias was incorrect yesterday. Dude, it's so damned obvious, why couldn't you have just admitted you were wrong? I would have been easy on you. :)
Unfortunately for you, you think I'm that stupid to think can't see my old comments. OF COURSE they are visible, even if it was spammed, you could click it to see it again. Anyway, just because a car has a clearly better weight distribution, doesn't mean it's a good drift car. So whether or not I was wrong, your the one is REALLY at fault. Viper's are not good cars for drifting. Period. Sam likes the long wheelbase and power-over ability. Clearly you've never even driven a Viper before.
There is no "whether" about it. You were 100% flat out wrong. And look like a complete fool by saying things like, "Please don't embarass yourself by posting stupid comments" when it was you embarassing yourself with your stupid comments. LOL
"your the one is REALLY at fault"
At fault for what? Proving you wrong and making you look like a fool? Yes, that's true.
What? Now you think I put -1 on your comments? Your opinion doesn't even matter to me so I wouldn't waste time putting a fucking red number next to your name. Believe me or not I was talking about Sam's Viper the entire time. I left out that little bit of information and you misunderstood. You wouldn't know jack about cars if Wikipedia or Car and Driver hadn't of been founded. Your trying ti "make a fool" out of someone who literally lives and dreams about cars. LOL I'm out, I'm getting a snack.
"Believe me or not I was talking about Sam's Viper the entire time"
LOL! Back to lying about that again? You were not, not a chance in hell. Why did you type, "Vipers" then? When I told you that Vipers only carry 49% of their wieght on the front, why did you say I was wrong instead of saying, "I know, I just meant Sam's modified drift Viper?" You are such a terrible liar it's hilarious.
Gunna lie about that too? What a suprise. Yes, I know it was you, and I'm not even going to tell you how I know this time.
"You wouldn't know jack about cars if Wikipedia or Car and Driver hadn't of been founded"
And you know that how? You are a youtube nooB and clearly haven't watched my videos yet which happen in real life, not on Xbox. And you never owned a Viper you 22 year old internet liar.
Whatever, I don't care if you don't believe I didn't do that immature crap. I don't even know what those numbers do. To me it's just something to keep people with OCD busy. And I know you don't know jack about cars because if you did, you refer to a freaking article as opposed to real life experience. LOL! You sure as hell don't act "27". And yes I was a spoiled rich kid, that's why daddy gave me a viper. You know what? I sold that bad boy and bought a Supra and fixed it up. Peace.
"I know you don't know jack about cars because if you did, you refer to a freaking article"
LOL. How exactly are you supposed to prove a car's front/rear wieght bias on the internet without refering to an article? As if Car+Driver who measured the pounds at each corner got it wrong and you got it right? How do you think I knew what to look for to prove you wrong? Because I already KNEW the Viper was not nose heavy. Clearly, you don't know jack about cars nooB.
01Z06, how do you know Texas is lying? Why not give him the benefit of the doubt? I don't see how you can say TexasSlide is lying. But TexasSlide, you SHOULD have stated a specific model of Viper. Sam drives a modified 2006 Viper SRT. And by the way, I WAS THE ONE who put -1 on your comments 01Z06guy. You shoudln't assume things because it makes you look like a jerk. Not that you are. By the way, what do you and TexasSlide drive?
"I was a spoiled rich kid, that's why daddy gave me a viper"
Nope. Never had a Viper. You are a terrible liar. Spoiled rich kids don't call themselves spoiled rich kids and Viper/Supra owners have better things to make vids about that Xbox games.
"I didn't do that immature crap"
Yeah sure. You are soo mature, you stick to lying about what cars you have over the internet, and making up BS when you are proven wrong instead of admitting it?
Bhahaahahahahaha!!!!! Which part? The part where he said Vipers are horrible drift cars because they are nose heavy, which I proved they are not, or the part where he said Sam's Viper is modded to be a horrible drift car, which made it great at drifting?
Bwahahahahaha!!!! This is the funniest thread ever!
He never said it made it good for drifting. Sam Hubinette drifts a car that has massive power-over which can compensate for lost angle due to Weight Distribution. I know it didn't look like TexasSlide posted that, but I'm pretty sure that's what he meant.
Lol I'm not saying that. What I'm saying is that TexasSlide never said Sam's viper was good for drifting. It's good for the WAY SAM HUBINETTE DRIFTS. What is so hard to understand about that? And then you go on spitting out immature comments. What a joke. Clearly you don't understand any aspect of the drift scene, instead you shadow your lack of knowledge with idiotic remarks. Way to go...
He said it's HORRIBLE for drifting. Ugh. You kids are so lame. If you honestly couldn't see that I flat out owned him and then he was too immature to admit he was wrong and therefor backpedalled by trying to say that he meant Sam's drift modified Viper is HORRIBLE at drifting despite winning drift events, there is nothing more I can do for you. I can't fix stupid. Grow up kiddo. And when you grow up, try to realize that the "drift scene" is lame and populated by wannabe ricers.
IT IS HORRIBLE FOR DRIFTING! SAM IS THE ONLY REASON THAT THING CAN DRIFT! How many times must it be repeated? And if your all glorified just because you proved somebody wrong on YOUTUBE of all places, YOUR the one who needs to grow up. Your saying Sam Hubinette is a wannabe ricer? I think you just own YOURSELF for saying that. Great job "kiddo" lol.
Yeah, sure it is. You know this how? Show me any evidence from any source that Sam's drift Viper is horrible at drifting. You are not getting anywhere here. I'm so far above you I feel bad for picking on you, kiddo.
"Your saying Sam Hubinette is a wannabe ricer?"
No dumbass, one guy is not populating the "drift scene." 99% of the kiddos like you that have interest in drifting over racing are ricers.
I know this because of the specifications of Sam's Viper. Large wheelbase, unbalanced front and back weight distribution, length of powerband, amount of progressive slip in the tires etc. All this make the car a bad drift car for anybody but Sam Hubinette.
"try to realize that the "drift scene" is lame and populated by wannabe ricers."
You just said Drifters are Ricers. That was not you trying to backpedal and say that that, "Oh, only 99% of Drifters are ricers." Does this context sound familiar? You NEVER said 99% of drifters were ricers.
Now YOUR the one trying to backpedal. Saying that you were talking about 99% rather than the entire Drift coomunity. But you didn't say that, so anything you say about that has no credit. LOL.
pwning you is soo boring because you are too stupid to understand what is going on. It's like playing chess with a 3 year old. But for any intelegent people out there, it will be very easy to see that my two statements that you quoted are in no way contradictory.
See, what's REALLY funny here, is TexasSlide could have been correct in the first place if he would have said "Vipers are poor drift cars because they are tail heavy." That's the reality. Nose heavy cars are EASIER to drift, hence why they mod the car to be nose heavy. This is why mid and rear engined cars are rarely used. They are more difficult. And you better believe I have expirience in the matter. Also really funny is that you BOUGHT TexasSlide's BS backpedal and now call it fact! LOL
"Pwning"? Lol ok whatever bucko. Whatever helps you sleep at night, yes you did "Pwn" TexasSlide. Yes I DO think TexasSlide is right, and yes you DID mispell Intelligent which I find amazingly funny. After that I couldn't take you seriously anymore. Anyway, as a fellow car enthusiast I say we stop this little deboggle and just drop it. Really, we both love cars, so what's the point of arguing over something as insignicant as TexasSlide's comment. Your cool, I'm cool, cars are cool. Period.
By the way, I didn't buy TexasSlides' "BS Backpedal". I bought his idea BEHIND the backpedal. In which some cars are best tuned for certain people. Just like how not everybody can race a Corvette Z06 as good as you, but also not everybody can make my 240sx slide across pavement like I can. P.S. I gave you a +1 for all the -1's I gave you earlier. I guess you deserve a +1 after severeal days of debate.
I know this is a months old arguement, but TexasSlide is right. The2008 Dodge Viper carries a significantly larger amount of weight on it's front end. It's not much, maybe a cushion of 3-8%, but that's a big difference when you're car is sideways. Even a 3% difference is considered heavy, how much more so on Sam's modified and stripped Viper?
But I've seen 2008 Viper Coupes unmodified and brand new that have had their specs measured. I only got to see three Vipers but they all had I think it was 53% on front and 47% on tail end. How did thise website obtain this information? By actual tests or by some written numbers claimed by Dodge?
Why don't you Google, "2008 Viper weight distribution?" Every test and publication about the car says it's tail heavy, not nose heavy. I don't know what you claim to have seen, but you are just flat out wrong. I highly respect you as a person, but first you say 3%-8%, now you say you have seen three, completely stock, 2008 Viper coupes being corner weighted? Frankly, I think that statement was pure bullshit.
What the hell? I've personally SEEN tests on this vehicle in real-time and they all say the same thing; Nose Heavy. I know that all the Vipers that came into our shop were bone stock, the one with the most miles on it was a Red one with 12K miles on it. Have you gotten an official statement from a professional? A person who has been modifying them for years? I would try that, as it has lead me to believe that the evidence you supplied IS the bullshit you speak of.
"I've personally SEEN tests on this vehicle in real-time and they all say the same thing; Nose Heavy."
Really? What were these, "tests?" People who know what they are talking about would not say "tests," they would say specifically what was done. You are full of shit.
Somebody who has personally SEEN "tests" would not just throw out a huge random range like 3 to 8 percent. And nobodly who knows what they are talking about would make a fool of themselves by saying 8 percent. Even your horribly nose heavy GT500 isn't THAT bad. And it's about as bad as you can possibly buy in a RWD car.
And I am not full of shit, you are FULL of YOURSELF. You need to get over yourself, it's a little immature. I'm telling you what I SAW and BELIEVE. And by the way, one can both be in the Marines AND OWN or WORK in a shop.
"Have you gotten an official statement from a professional? A person who has been modifying them for years?"
Have you? No. But I did go over to Viperalley where all the Viper owners hang out. None of them have ever heard about your conspiricy by Dodge and every single auto reviewer in the world to lie to the world about the weight distribution of the Viper Coupe.
So Mr. MustangMarck, why don't you be the whistle blower on this huge Viper weight distribution conspiricy and post a video of the results of your, "tests" that you conducted in your shop? Trust me, the Ford fans, Corvette fans, GTR fans, and all the Viper and Dodge haters would love you for exposing Dodge's lie. So do it, why don't you?
I won't. I'll probably have my sister do it. I'm scheduled for my 3rd tour in Jalalabad, Afghanistan. I'll be away for quite some time. I'm sitting here in Illinois on a buisness trip. (Trying to sell exhaust manifolds for Mustangs) I'll ask her, but it's up to her if she has the time to do so.
By the way, not every magazine, website will say the exact same thing. And frankly, I think they are a waste of time. I use personal experience when debating vehicles, if I don't have experience with them I keep my mouth shut. How come the differences between website/magazine tests and the tests done in real life from what I've seen vary so greatly? Are you saying the magazine/website is right, and the first-hand experience is wrong?
"I use personal experience when debating vehicles...Are you saying...first-hand experience is wrong?"
I'm saying you don't have the personal experience you claim to have. If Dodge really did ship it's Viper Coupes with a large front heavy weight distribution like you claim, then there must be a huge conspiricy amoung Dodge, every car reviewer in the world, and all the owners to keep quit about it and keep the lie alive, right? LOL What a joke.
I don't have the experience I claim to have? I have told you what I have seen in person. How is that not personal experience? Whatever man. I really am done trying to prove what I saw. No matter what, you revert back to the beginning and recycle garbage. Anyway I hope you don't crash. It would be a shame to see a fairly good driver such as yourself die in a car crash. Of course I would LOVE to die in MY car. See ya around.
"I'll ask her, but it's up to her if she has the time to do so."
"I really am done trying to prove what I saw."
Wait, but you didn't even start to try to prove what you saw. Did you ask your sister in these last 6 minutes? Somehow I just knew she was going to be too busy. Damn. Too bad. I would have loved to have seen that video. I hope you die in your sleep as an old man. In your car is not the way you should want to go. BTW, it's okay to admit you are wrong about some things.
Wow, you REALLY over analyze things don't you? I read your comments in top-bottom order. And responded differently based on which I read first. And yes it IS ok to be wrong about things, and apparently I was wrong about you. And I was joking about dying in my car. Way to show your a smart person! :] If you want hard evidence, come to Austin TX. I'll give you a copy of the transcript. Well I'll be going. Don';t bother waiting for my response, I've had my fun with you.
"I read your comments in top-bottom order. And responded differently based on which I read first"
That's not true either because you responded to being in the Marines and owning a shop first, yet my only reference to it was at the bottom of the page. Call it, "over analyzing" if you want, but it's true none the less. If you don't like me picking off your lies, then just stop lying.
Well thanks for your service. Keep dreaming that the Viper has a poor weight distribution like your Mustang. If you keep telling yourself it's true, someday you might actaully believe it. Just try to refrain from trying to tell it to people who actually know what they are talking about. It will always go as badly for you as it has here.

Not only does R+T list it as 48% front, 52% rear, but it even gives you the lbs on each wheel. Now what do you have to say?

pwning you is soo boring because you are too stupid to understand what is going on. It's like playing chess with a 3 year old. But for any intelegent people out there, it will be very easy to see that my two statements that you quoted are in no way contradictory.
01Z06guy 3 years ago
See, what's REALLY funny here, is TexasSlide could have been correct in the first place if he would have said "Vipers are poor drift cars because they are tail heavy." That's the reality. Nose heavy cars are EASIER to drift, hence why they mod the car to be nose heavy. This is why mid and rear engined cars are rarely used. They are more difficult. And you better believe I have expirience in the matter. Also really funny is that you BOUGHT TexasSlide's BS backpedal and now call it fact! LOL
01Z06guy 3 years ago
Period.
Xr3tch3dm16x 3 years ago
By the way, I didn't buy TexasSlides' "BS Backpedal". I bought his idea BEHIND the backpedal. In which some cars are best tuned for certain people. Just like how not everybody can race a Corvette Z06 as good as you, but also not everybody can make my 240sx slide across pavement like I can. P.S. I gave you a +1 for all the -1's I gave you earlier. I guess you deserve a +1 after severeal days of debate.

Ay.... dios mio. How old are you and how long have you been on the internet?
01Z06guy 3 years ago
I'm 25, I have a 1 year old son, and I've been on the internet for a few years.
Xr3tch3dm16x 3 years ago
I know this is a months old arguement, but TexasSlide is right. The2008 Dodge Viper carries a significantly larger amount of weight on it's front end. It's not much, maybe a cushion of 3-8%, but that's a big difference when you're car is sideways. Even a 3% difference is considered heavy, how much more so on Sam's modified and stripped Viper?
MustangMarck 3 years ago
"The2008 Dodge Viper carries a significantly larger amount of weight on it's front end."
WRONG. I already proved that the 2008 Viper carries 48% on the front and 52% on the rear. The proof is here:
Go to roadandtrack(dot)com.
Search for, "2008 viper."
Click on "Road Test: 2008 Dodge Viper SRT10 Coupe."
Then click on "Download:Data Panel: 2008 Dodge Viper SRT10 Coupe"
01Z06guy 3 years ago
But I've seen 2008 Viper Coupes unmodified and brand new that have had their specs measured. I only got to see three Vipers but they all had I think it was 53% on front and 47% on tail end. How did thise website obtain this information? By actual tests or by some written numbers claimed by Dodge?
MustangMarck 3 years ago
Why don't you Google, "2008 Viper weight distribution?" Every test and publication about the car says it's tail heavy, not nose heavy. I don't know what you claim to have seen, but you are just flat out wrong. I highly respect you as a person, but first you say 3%-8%, now you say you have seen three, completely stock, 2008 Viper coupes being corner weighted? Frankly, I think that statement was pure bullshit.
01Z06guy 3 years ago
What the hell? I've personally SEEN tests on this vehicle in real-time and they all say the same thing; Nose Heavy. I know that all the Vipers that came into our shop were bone stock, the one with the most miles on it was a Red one with 12K miles on it. Have you gotten an official statement from a professional? A person who has been modifying them for years? I would try that, as it has lead me to believe that the evidence you supplied IS the bullshit you speak of.
MustangMarck 3 years ago
"I've personally SEEN tests on this vehicle in real-time and they all say the same thing; Nose Heavy."
Really? What were these, "tests?" People who know what they are talking about would not say "tests," they would say specifically what was done. You are full of shit.
01Z06guy 3 years ago
"the Vipers that came into our shop were bone stock"
You own or work in a shop now? That's funny considering your profile says you are in the Marines. You are full of shit.
01Z06guy 3 years ago
"I've personally SEEN tests"
Somebody who has personally SEEN "tests" would not just throw out a huge random range like 3 to 8 percent. And nobodly who knows what they are talking about would make a fool of themselves by saying 8 percent. Even your horribly nose heavy GT500 isn't THAT bad. And it's about as bad as you can possibly buy in a RWD car.
01Z06guy 3 years ago
And I am not full of shit, you are FULL of YOURSELF. You need to get over yourself, it's a little immature. I'm telling you what I SAW and BELIEVE. And by the way, one can both be in the Marines AND OWN or WORK in a shop.
MustangMarck 3 years ago
"Have you gotten an official statement from a professional? A person who has been modifying them for years?"
Have you? No. But I did go over to Viperalley where all the Viper owners hang out. None of them have ever heard about your conspiricy by Dodge and every single auto reviewer in the world to lie to the world about the weight distribution of the Viper Coupe.
You are full of shit.
01Z06guy 3 years ago
01Z06guy 3 years ago
MustangMarck 3 years ago
By the way, not every magazine, website will say the exact same thing. And frankly, I think they are a waste of time. I use personal experience when debating vehicles, if I don't have experience with them I keep my mouth shut. How come the differences between website/magazine tests and the tests done in real life from what I've seen vary so greatly? Are you saying the magazine/website is right, and the first-hand experience is wrong?
MustangMarck 3 years ago
"I use personal experience when debating vehicles...Are you saying...first-hand experience is wrong?"
I'm saying you don't have the personal experience you claim to have. If Dodge really did ship it's Viper Coupes with a large front heavy weight distribution like you claim, then there must be a huge conspiricy amoung Dodge, every car reviewer in the world, and all the owners to keep quit about it and keep the lie alive, right? LOL What a joke.
01Z06guy 3 years ago
I don't have the experience I claim to have? I have told you what I have seen in person. How is that not personal experience? Whatever man. I really am done trying to prove what I saw. No matter what, you revert back to the beginning and recycle garbage. Anyway I hope you don't crash. It would be a shame to see a fairly good driver such as yourself die in a car crash. Of course I would LOVE to die in MY car. See ya around.
MustangMarck 3 years ago
"I'll ask her, but it's up to her if she has the time to do so."
"I really am done trying to prove what I saw."
Wait, but you didn't even start to try to prove what you saw. Did you ask your sister in these last 6 minutes? Somehow I just knew she was going to be too busy. Damn. Too bad. I would have loved to have seen that video. I hope you die in your sleep as an old man. In your car is not the way you should want to go. BTW, it's okay to admit you are wrong about some things.
01Z06guy 3 years ago
Wow, you REALLY over analyze things don't you? I read your comments in top-bottom order. And responded differently based on which I read first. And yes it IS ok to be wrong about things, and apparently I was wrong about you. And I was joking about dying in my car. Way to show your a smart person! :] If you want hard evidence, come to Austin TX. I'll give you a copy of the transcript. Well I'll be going. Don';t bother waiting for my response, I've had my fun with you.
MustangMarck 3 years ago
"I read your comments in top-bottom order. And responded differently based on which I read first"
That's not true either because you responded to being in the Marines and owning a shop first, yet my only reference to it was at the bottom of the page. Call it, "over analyzing" if you want, but it's true none the less. If you don't like me picking off your lies, then just stop lying.
01Z06guy 3 years ago
Well thanks for your service. Keep dreaming that the Viper has a poor weight distribution like your Mustang. If you keep telling yourself it's true, someday you might actaully believe it. Just try to refrain from trying to tell it to people who actually know what they are talking about. It will always go as badly for you as it has here.
01Z06guy 3 years ago
Thanks for your appreciation.

Wow... I'm not the mean type but you are a little pathetic for an adult. You need to grow up.
