Carel Struycken is apparently still alive and well, at the age of 62. Which is impressive. Many 'giants' do not live that long because their heart has to work twice as hard to circulate their blood. He was also on Twin Peaks, if memory serves.

You didn't know? The late Majel Barrett-Roddenberry (wife of Gene Roddenberry) was one of the longest serving Star Trek cast members. She voiced the computers in TOS, TNG, DS9, Voyager and even one episode in Enterprise. She played the first officer in the TOS pilot 'The Cage', but Gene decided to "keep the Vulcan and married the woman, cause Leonard Nimoy wouldn't want it the otherway around ". In the TOS she played nurse Christine Chapel. During TNG she was casted as Lwaxanna Troi
