look, I know 4 foreign languages (yes, four!!), but I can understand that there are times in history when one language is spoken evrywhere, it was latin once,then french etc etc. Bu you, italians do not speak foreign languages at all, I don't know your problem, I was amazed that NO ONE in Roma or Venice is able to speak a foreign language.
