Hitler never wanted war with England or France, those countries declared war on Germany (ie. their war guarantees to Poland) at the behest of Roosevelt and his European envoy William C. Bullitt (and international Jewry pushing both of them). Hitler just wanted to unify the German people by gaining back the land Germany lost in 1919 (that which had large ethnic German populations).
Hitler also wanted to smash Jewish Bolshevism, ie. the USSR (which is a good thing, of course).

From a purely military perspective (I am NOT talking about war crimes the SS committed -- Sepp Dietrich at Malmedy) , the Waffen SS was an elite unit but from the leadership perspective, Himmler was a coward who preferred to commit suicide rather than fighting the Russian army like those men did.

Know something? You're right but... although I don't recall the exact historical facts in Germany after WWI, it would have been difficult even for skilled veterans (probably surviving officers) to find a job because of the duties imposed to Germany after the Versailles.
If I recall as correctly as possible, the Allies took control of Germany economy to demand reparations for the damage caused mostly in France.

Surviving German veterans whether skilled or not, found NO jobs at all because of the ruins the War left also on Germany's ECONOMY (remember the hyperinflation during the 20's)
If those veterans couldn't find a job, they were very easy pray for Hitler during the 30's helpíng him to create his party and well, the rest is History already.
You're basically right but there were a mix of political and economic factors not only in Germany but in Europe as a whole that caused WW II.
