The object drops a shadow that is not coherrent with the lightsource (the sun) which means that the object did not pass along the moon surface, yet made a fake shadow.

We'd need to know precisely when this video was taken and where in order to determine the satellites you are seeing in the video.

You're seeing two objects close to one another in a rendezvous. Several possibilities that comes to mind immediately:

Shuttle/ISS

Shuttle/Hubble

ISS/Soyuz

ISS/Progress

ISS/HTV (Japanese module)

ISS/ATV (ESA module, such as Jules Verne)

its not the ISS and its not a real ufo, the shadow gives it all away, the sun would have put the shadow on the other side if it was a "ufo" and if it was the ISS there would have been NO shadow because its WAY to far from the moon.

i advice you to start thinking before writing. This video was born using reflector telescope, so you need to mirror it in your mind. I really cannot identify the object (UFO mean Unidentified Flying Object), so i use name UFO in description... and finally, try to calculate the object size, that can put visible from earth shadow to moon surface, and you can understand that it's not the shadow and you make a mistake in your comment's.

@screamjackson  I agree. If the shadow (in light of another term) was to the right of an object over the moon it might be believeable. No idea what it might be but definately not an object over the moon casting a shadow on it. Possible it's the ISS and a Shuttle undocked.

Clearly the ISS, there's dozens of video's of it doing thsi which look exactly the same on youtube - and all those are deliberately set up since you can use it's orbit to work out when the transit is.

If you assume that UFO means Unidentified Flying Object, YES it is an UFO, but it's you who can't identify the Flying Object, which is not your fault. It is obviously the ISS or another big satellite. It may also be the Telescope Hubble, but I don't know it's format. Trust me, there is a chance of 99% of being a human satellite and of 1% of being an extraterrestrial vehicle. And I believe in Extraterrestrials. ;)

If you ever spent time looking at the sky through a telescope, you will instantly see the video is authentic. There is no shadow because the whole thing is a satellite, maybe the ISS (anything that goes around the earth in space is a satellite). Do some reading: the smallest detail on the moon detectable even in Hubble is hundreds of feet across. No scope on earth would ever be able to see anything orbiting the moon. Lack of knowledge = misperception ie. "shadow" and "fake." School is good.

I would say it is probably space junk, I see similar objects transitting the Moon at similar speeds quite often while observing with my telescope (at least twice or three times weekly if I observe nightly). Sometimes birds fly by too, extremely high, and small, same size and speed as the objects in this video, but the birds' wings flap visibly. These could also be balloons pushed by high altitude winds.

sorry, but this is fake. for one, a iss transit would be MUCH faster. and there is no object big that is big enough to cast such a shadow on the moon, especially at this angle. the sunshine is from the left. therefore, the "ufo" and its shadow must have been added after the video was taken.

I don't see how this could be the space station, it's casting a shadow directly beneath it that follows the contours of the surface. This thing whatever it was definitely seems to be very close to the surface. I don't think it's a satellite, if it was, it would orbit the moon like once every 30 seconds at that speed.

not iss. its not in proximity of the moon and is orbiting earth anyway. that would have to be 40 km long juding by the ratios. what the moon is about 3500 km diameter. i'm not saying its fake i'm saying its freekin huge and fast. is any thing in orbit around the moon at the moment? that has a shadow. well done if its a fake tho.

Definitely NOT ISS. Way too slow. Compare to other ISS transit vids. An acutal satellite must move about 30,000 fps in low orbit.

very good, I think you are right, definitely a satellite with a solar array, it is possible, to use a satellite tracking website to see just where the ISS was , if you know the date, time and location you were in. that is if you want to know for sure which satellite it was, this is a good video though, whatever it was, very cool.

If your finger moves in front of the camera do you believe it is on the moon? Why then assume this object is just above the moon's surface? Such an object would be immense, as we see it in comparison to a mountain range.

Instead, the object is much closer to the observer than to the moon, and neither of the black specks is a shadow on the moon (both are part of the object's structure).

I'd say it's a satellite transit of the moon. Try that phrase in a Google image search.

This video are great !! First i was thinking it maybe a Prob flying around the moon like the famous japanese satelite KAGUYA (SELENE) launch in 2007 to take a 3d map of the moon.

BUT !!!!!! on this video we can see clearly thats it is a Craft flying extremely in low altitude above the surface of the moon. The size of this craft are about 1 kilometer large and long ..since it is wilder then one of the crater of the dead sea.

for today, i still can't explain what it was, because if it's an object and its shadow, then the shadow must not be at that place, where it shown on the video.

For all, who think that this video is not real, beleave me, it's real, it was recorded from my home window in Moscow city, Russia.

I would say it's neither. That video is so fake it's pathetic looks like a model of the moon and whoever did this obviously didn't know what they were doing. They had the ship to close to the surface and the movement is to artificial it looks just as fake as the shadow does

I think that the previous commenters may be assuming that the darker object at the top is the UFO and the lighter object visible beneath it the shadow. It may be the other way round (this becomes more plausible if you watch it in slo-mo by repeatedly starting and pausing the video).

The video is amazing but I have to concur with explorerSG1 comment that the angle of the shadow looks out of context and odd. The angle should be in line with the sun, which is hitting the moon from left to right in the video and the shadow of the alleged UFO appears to be opposite to that.

In the very beginning when the UFO is first seen, you can clearly see the shadow of the UFO cast onto the moon. This is no satellite. What is odd is the angle of the shadow to the light shinning onto the moon. The shadow should have been more away from the light source.
