Lets just read our bibles, do our best, live in gratitude, pray and build the house with love, compassion and truth....and remember, Be kind to yourself today; and then pass that kindness on to others....simply really....amen
Pastor Brian knows all the answers because he knows Jesus. I am amazed he can't explain the Fat Fake Scam. Surely he knows more than he's letting on! He's in touch with God! He's got divine wisdom.
Actually I don't understand. Pastor Brian tells us we should focus on Jesus while Pastor Mike seeks professional help. Shouldn't Pastor Mike be focusing on Jesus as well? And why is Pastor Mike seeking professional help - doesn't he believe that Jesus is his healer. He wrote 'Jesus is all I need'? But it seems he needs more than Jesus he needs professional help. But this is all too complex and Christians shouldn't be asking questions. Just dumb it down and focus on Jesus.
@wordfaith77840 Agreed. Pastor Brian is a great man who is anointed of God to bring many riches into the kingdom. As for healing. We have healings at our campus every week. Last month a man was healed of a dry throat and last week a lady was healed of a sprained ankle. For goodness sakes she was even able to walk all by herself after being prayed for.
It's sad to see so-called mature christians having no discernment or answers as to why this happened. You've only got to attend one of these churches to see the overwhelming dynamics of emotional manipulation, hear the ambient New Age style music playing in the background during "testimonies", to see that there are other forces at work here than the "Holy Spirit". If you play with fire you get burnt. Poor Michael is also a victim as he got caught up in that dynamic of weekly bless me sessions.
@protocol37 Right on protocol37! As told by the bible and evidenced over and over again in our lives, sin begets more sin: "Do you not know that a little leaven leavens the whole lump?"
@wordfaith77840 Yes. You're right. And for those few ACC churches that still practise that old antiquated service where they have a healing altar call - good on them! Legs will be lengthened and headaches will be healed!
I'm so disgusted that your church tells people that prayer can cure disease. We've seen recently what effect telling such lies can have on innocent people, and may I suggest that you should be more concerned about their well-being than trying to make your god sound extra magical. Please see my "Hillsong Preaching" video, if you don't believe it happens at your London franchise.
To Ptr. Brian Houston: keep the faith as long as your heart is right in God's sight and as long as your heart is clean and you know God's calling and goal for Hillsong to reach out the lost through music.. go for it!! I support you in prayers... God Bless!
To Ptr. Brian Houston: keep the faith as long as your heart is right in God's sight and as long as your heart is clean and you know God's calling and goal for Hillsong to reach out the lost through music.. go for it!! I support you in prayers... God Bless!
@Maria2628 Ps Brian is one of the few who has kept the faith. But he'll fall. Just like they all do. It won't be sexual immorality or pedo (like his dad) but it will be financial. His fleecing of his flock will all come crumbling down.
only the Lord Jesus searches the heart.. He only knows whats in our heart, whats in our thoughts.. we judge not so that we cannot also be judge only God is our judge.. whatever we measured to others it will be measured to us... God has its purpose of everything... Hillsong did lifted up the name of JESUS!!who are we to say a word against them.. it is not easy to handle handle people it takes prayer, word of God, Holy Spirit and Faith in Jesus..
Never an apology to those people genuinely suffering from cancer, nor their families. Just concerned about some cheap PR stunt to save the face of the evangelical church after an appalling and disgraceful episode. There is nothing humble about this. Amazing how the religious will pay heed to all the nonsense about jesus and god, but will turn a blind eye to yet another evangelical scandal (just look on wikipedia - oh, and that's before you include all wrongdoings committed by Catholic priests).
@Freethinking2010 Pastor Mike was genuinely suffering! He was suffering from porn addiction cancer - sent from Satan! This is worse than other forms of cancer because not only does it afflict the body (he was constantly vomiting, wanking, pulling his hair out) but it infects the soul. Pastor Brian is very humble. He freely admits he can't explain what happened. He also admits he was 100% sucked in by it. Brian is an inspired leader with awesome discernment and has the gift of word of knowledge!
Our focus has to always be on Jesus and not people, because people will fail us all the time. God used Michael to write Healer despite what he was doing. Remember He used a donkey to speak in the bible. I don`t know what has happened to this man since 2008, but I hope he is healed.
You have to be very careful around Christians, some are real, some raise questions in your mind :) the smartass people will say dont judge! but God says be wise :) I have personally been witness to Christians acting different behind the scenes! or telling lies! doing stuff thats not right :( im not saying all of them do this! I just feel sad when people have a postion and abuse it! isBrian Houston the real deal?? I don't know! but people should love a church because of its size and glamour
I mean people, shouldn't love a church because of its size and glamour!! better to be in a room with 50 real strong Christians than a venue with 50,000 fools! im not saying everyone that goes to Hillsong is a fool but understand what i am saying, its not about numbers! its about GOD
@walkabout09 ...dude, if I didn't want to hang with hypocrites, then I wouldn't be able to sit with myself. The things that bother us so much about others are usually the things that bother us the most about ourselves. Just saying....
I can see that there is a lot of anger about this issue, this is actually the first I've heard of it here in the U.S. I think this stuff happens in and out of Christianity. I think it happens because people feed off of recognition. Mike seems to as well. It's understandable and forgivable. It is my sincere hope that this guy is not leading in his church in any capacity, that he is being mentored, has sought help, and is remaining in a humble place of being fed by God's word
Your "pastors" lie every week about prayers curing cancer or getting people jobs. This is pretty rich coming from people who profit on the gullible and weak of mind. The irony is that Jesus would be mortified by taking advantage of people like this, if he were as caring as people like to suggest. When I visited Hillsong in London you wanted money from people to fund a bigger stage show and vans to carry musical equipment. What about the poor and needy? Sickening.
If Mike had been smart he would have gone to see Benny Hinn and got a "miracle" cure, then pulled off the ultimate christian fraud, an opportunity to make a motza gone begging!
Wow, so touched by this. Hmmm, did Brother Mike really lie to us? Our sins eat at us if not corrected. His lies and actions was leading to spiritual death, he was dying from a spiritual cancer. SIN is deadly even unto death depending how long we embrace it. God was calling to the heart of brother Mike and he responded, that's how this song was inspired, nothing fake about it. We can be so judgemental, even as Christians. Stay strong Bro. Mike, don't give up. Stay in the race. Blessings!!!

God's Word says that He heals ALL our diseases & sicknesses. The addiction that Mike Guglielmucci is/was dealing with is a disease of the mind. This song could still have been a cry for healing from Father God, only for a different type of healing than everyone assumed. He was asking for healing of a mental disease. bottom line is that if Christ while ON THE CROSS forgave the men who stripped and tortured Him, how can we not also forgive this man if Christ lives within us?
@TheLindslinky Um. There is a difference between sickness and sin. Cancer is a sickness. An obsession with porn is a sin.
That's why this song is wrong. If it really was a cry from Michael Guglielmucci's heart it would not have been called 'healer' but 'forgiver' and would have spoken of repentence.
The fact that it didn't means you argument is false.
who knows if God is the one who inspired him that song anyway? maybe he just thought he could help God by backing his revelation up with more tangible evidence
despite the scandal, the message of the song is still powerful. worship is worship. we shouldn't let our worship become weakened by someone else's mistake.
@ahnotherguitarplayer Someone else's mistake? That someone else is the guy who wrote the song! He was a liar. The words of the song are also a complete and utter total lie.
@davo9678 I would'nt go into that house of lies and dellusion if you paid me. The longest serving minister at Hillsong is Pastor Money, when will all the fools realise that hillsong has nothing to do with god and everything to do with money.
The Australian government took back a grant of $1.3 million meant for aboriginals because it was being used to guess what? make more money. If only I had the lack of morals to do what the Houstons do, I would be rich too.
@TheSkiddy12 What are you talking about? That is not true. Hillsong actually did help the aboriginals. I saw it while i was visiting the church. It was all caught on camera. They built more homes. Secondly, houston only gets $300,000 a year out of the 60 million they get per year. Half of the money is spent on missions and half of the money is spent on missions/less fortunate and the other half is spent on worship, maintenance and staff. And i don't see what is wrong with a rich church.
@TheSkiddy12 Brian Houston actually doesn't even get paid by Hillsong church. His only income is from the books that he writes, in which he still only takes a fraction of that. Don't call Hillsong a "house of lies and delusion" when you get your information from "lies and delusions" of anti-religious sources.
@aconnecte look at the top voted comment...Christianity is not religion. But yes, faith is important, it is the basis for any relationship. The difference being that faith is believing in something you can't necessarily see. Yes have faith in yourself, but you can't do it all by yourself. Don't forget that
You can just picture the scene back at Hillsong HQ in Sydney when the Mike Gugli story broke: "Right, we gotta situation here. First thing, get the message out to Brian Houston. What do you mean he's not here?... Airport in Texas? Well, get him to record something on his cell phone, we need to him to distance us from this scandal... what do you mean "What about the singing pastor"?... ah, just make up something about pornography problems, nothing to do with us now, the flock will buy it."

I don't understand how people can continue to enjoy this song when it was written by a con artist! Doesn't CHARACTER count for anything these days?!!!! If you promote and condone people like Michael Guglielmucci by singing the song he wrote, it says something about YOUR CHARACTER!!! Where do you draw the line? What about Hitler? Stalin? Where do you draw the line regarding who he really was?! Why do we continue singing this song? Are we such idiots? Aren't we continuing to be conned?!
Interesting! what a cool pastor! heard about this stuff last week and i always wondered what the pastor of hillsong thoughts on this... Sometimes what Christians do make believing in Jesus more complicated... so many TV evangelists scandals and so many fakers--
I think it is pretty despicable how you christians think that this man can be forgiven or his fraud forgotten, just because "jesus loves" and "god forgives". These empty platitudes mean nothing to most people. If he had lied to the welfare system about having cancer, he would've been locked up. And it is interesting how much attention you pay to trying to forgive this man, and yet you say nothing in the way of apology to all the real cancer sufferers he has hurt. Typical of religion.
@Freethinking2010 oh shh! don't other's lie and cheat everyday, just it's not as highlighted because they aren't christians? This and the Todd Bently thing have been spotlighted so much. But tbh what has been done has been done, and God is forgiving and so are we. Christianity is NOT a religion. Religion is the bad stuff that comes along with a faith, all the ceremonial and hiarachal stuff. So yeah, if you don't agree with the forgivness, that's your choice. Best thing: forgive and move on. :)
@MandyWHY Thank you for your comment. But I'm allowed to give my opinion, so the "oh shh!" might be a little unnecessary. If you con the welfare state, you get locked up. If you are fraudulent at work, you get sacked. If you cheat at school, you can get suspended etc etc. But if you're a pastor, in whom people have "faith and trust", and you are caught lying (in the most despicable way), you get "forgiveness from god"? No, I'm afraid it doesn't work like that for most people.
@Freethinking2010 Sorry that "oh shh" is something I've just got into the habbit of saying. Sorry if it offended you. And true true, the worldly punishments are quite great. But it is up to God to have the final say. It is down to us to let him be the judge. "in the world, but not of the world" and all that. and yeah, you can have your opinion, but it's no fair if you are insulting someone else's faith yah know. If the christian community want to forgive, let us.
@MandyWHY No offence taken, and it sounds like you didn't mean it, so no worries. The problem here is that the people he hurt goes beyond the christian community and those who bought his record, all of whom I do not really worry about. No apology is made to the millions of innocent cancer sufferers hurt by this shameful charade. And sorry to say this, but I'm not going out of my way to insult his faith; I'm entitled to say he took advantage of his position in the faith of others to lie badly.
@Freethinking2010 okay point seen. But I don't think there was a massive uproar from the cancer sufferers, and i think in his big appology he did appologise to them. But this happened like two years ago. The song is still relevant, I still use this song in worship sets and that. So the only thing to do now is just to move on :)
@walkabout09 minutes you might see that. The reason I am engaged in this dialogue with you is not for argument or to express my beliefs. I am expressing truth to you that matters. What you believe about Jesus will determine whether you spend eternity with God or separated from Him in Hell, forever isolated from every good thing. I care about you even though I don't know you. I care enough to take time to say all of this. Walkabout, consider what I have said. Your life depends on it. carm.org
@walkabout09 reflect His life and teachings. Those who call themselves Christians and do not live out the teachings of Jesus are not truly Christians. Nothing Hitler did reflected Jesus. He was by no means a Christian. I don't care what church he was a member of. At times the Catholic church has gone against Jesus' teachings. Those responsible were by no means true followers of Jesus. Your facts are delusional and your view of true Christians is skewed. If you could put aside your hate for a few
@walkabout09 others' opinions. You cannot make logical, sound conclusions based on here-say. I encourage you to read the Bible and research it. Then you can make an informed inference as to whether it is reliable as history. If it is reliable as history, then maybe it is reliable in its teaching as well. Lastly, say what you will, but just because someone says they are Christian does not make them Christian. Jesus taught that you will know His followers by their actions. His true followers lives
@walkabout09 trust its history. Some disputes do exist, but they become fewer all the time as archaeology continues to confirm the Bible as historically reliable. Say what you want and choose not to believe the Bible if you will, but the very words you speak invalidate your opinion on the subject. You have never taken the time to study the Bible. I can tell by your rash use of here-say, devoid of "facts". Making a statement does not make the statement true. Look at the facts, not your own or
@walkabout09 The only books of the Bible that have no root in history are the ones you enjoy such as the Gospel of Thomas and Judas which were written long after Thomas and Judas died. The Old Testament has been confirmed over and over to be historically accurate. You will not find many credible scholars who believe the Bible to be historically inaccurate. The overwhelming consensus is that the Bible is historically accurate. Not everyone agrees with the teaching of the Bible, but most by far
@walkabout09 Your version of the facts are skewed walkabout. I am not here to argue with you, so this will be my last post here. As a History specialist as well as a Bible scholar, I can assure you that the historicity of the Bible is unbelievably well attested. The books of the New Testament were complete within 70 years of Jesus' death and the New Testament as we know it today was well established within 200 or so years after Jesus death. These facts are well attested through ancient documents
@walkabout09 Start with the Gospel of John and ask yourself if it could be true. Maybe there is a God out there who loves you and gave Himself up for you. If it is true, it has huge implications for you life. Walkabout, Jesus does love you and He wants to have a relationship with you. Remember, being at a zoo does not make you a monkey any more than being in church makes you a Christian. Look at the Bible for yourself. Don't let evil people who name Jesus keep you from actually knowing Jesus.
@walkabout09 Over and over again the Bible has been affirmed by history and archeology. The burden of proof is on you about this, not us. The historicity of the Bible is well documented. I do not know of one real problem history or archaeology has with the Bible. If you can produce this evidence, then do it and we can discuss it. Everything you have said against the Bible is mere here-say. Textually, the Bible is the most accurate of any ancient book by far. I challenge you; read the Bible.
@walkabout09 This is evidenced by their actions. Jesus says that people will know His followers by the way they live their lives (Matthew 7:16). If a life does not match up with Jesus' teaching, the person or group is not Christian. I reject the authority of the Pope and accept the authority of the Bible alone. If you will remember, the catholic church killed many protestant Christians in those days as well as others. Finally, you need to get your facts about the Bible straight.
@walkabout09 First, Hitler was no Christian and his ideologies were based on Darwin and naturalism. Hitler may have been on some church role somewhere but he certainly did not live out Christian principles. The Bible teaches against racism in saying that "in Christ there is neither jew nor greek, slave nor free, male nor female" (Galatians 3:28). Second, the Pope does not speak for all Christians, he speaks for catholics of which I am not. The catholic church of those old days was not Christian.
@walkabout09 ...Also, if you are going to attribute every atrocity done in the name of Christianity to Christians and the Bible, what do you do with Hitler's, Stalin's, Mao's and other Atheist/Naturalist leaders atrocities. Atheism has caused infinitely more death and destruction than and would be Christian. You need to actually read the Bible, see what it teaches, and meet some real Christians before you pass such a harsh judgement on us.
@walkabout09 ... Walkabout, I find it interesting that you are so willing to blast the Bible and those who believe in it. I sense a lot of hate in your words. I perceive that you are an atheist. I see the words you have written attributing evil acts in Europe and around the world to Christians. I feel like I must interject something here. There are many who have called themselves Christian throughout the centuries who never knew Jesus. Those who know Jesus are changed by Him.
all those people who criticize Faith and criticize The Bible, have you ever taken the time to read Jesus' story? all four books? it;s hard not to have Faith after you hear, witness, and experience so much. He's not distant, He's right next to you, calling you, asking you to search your heart, asking you to take His hand. don't turn away, you're important to Him
@walkabout09 and God will judge EVERYONE who misrepresents him like that...those things you mentioned were people, and people judge others and take things to extremes...both inside and outside of religion
Pastor Brian is one of the greates leader in the body of Christ. He is a good and a humble man bevor our God. I thank God for people like him, there following her call. An example for all of us!!
I don't care what people do..., the most important person we need to follow and be inspired... is Jesus. The focuse is Jesus Christ. Anyone is perfect, Mike was more judged bc he's like hmm "on the top". But everyday, unfortunately, ppl make mistakes and Jesus is always with opened arms to forgive us if we confess with honest heart!!
For sure, the ppl from any church wouldnt be dissapointed with that case if their focuse is Jesus.
some of the greatest thinkers, scientists and world leaders that have ever walked the planet believed in the same things brian is talking about. what have you ever done in your life that makes you think that you are above people who have faith. Having faith in something does not mean that you have 'fallen' for something. how about you go down to church one day and see how quickly you keep that opinion. it will do you the world of good i promise
brother we cant judge anyone we let God deal with those people we put an offering on our part not to c where its going or how its gonna bespent were just putting the money or wat eva it is it doesnt matter where it goes let God deal with that do u get me
ok then, where are the missing tens or hundreds of millions of dollars gone too my friend,do some checking,a pastor must be transparent when it comes too these matters and be accountable to his congragation, where is the commitee to see over the funding ?sure they give, but its a drop in the ocean to what they get so again whats going on.
On another video there was a pastor saying that they had NO idea he was faking this whole time, and if people want money refunded they can have it back. You may have to search for that video on youtube or find out where to contact the people for a refund. It sounds like they've taken measures to make things right.
i have no hiddeen agenda,i am merely stating the obvious,i am not against people who attend brians meetings for i have myself, but over time and study thinking long and hard about some of his interpritations, its like i have been able to see alot clearer now and also time has passed and ive had the oppertunity now to see what hes done with the blessings he has recieved, and my friend it quite simply does not add up,please forgive my spelling.
anybody who understands body language can see this man is trying to deliver an underlying message or hidden agenda,Always fidgity never relaxed and the eyes dont lie.
what the hell do you mean? "HIDDEN AGENDA"??? ... how can one defend that line of questioning. That is the oldest term in the book in Canadian politics ... impossible to defend .... btw, what is your hidden agenda???
. I am so lucky I went to that church, it was the start of noticing something was wrong in the christian world .
Brian has no hidden agenda, its just the same agenda all religions have. I doubt he misspends his money seeing as australia already allows the churches such a free ride.
You are trying to distance the stigma of religion from christianity. Your bronze age myth of jesus who was not even a historical figure is one of the most ridiculous religions still in existence. Cool myths bro, especially the part about noahs ark.
@TheMBaggins11 And that's why churches have mission programs to spread the knowledge of God. Absolutely anybody can accept Jesus and becomes a Christian, and all people are equal under God. Like I said; God has no hierarchy, only churches do.
@TheMBaggins11 You misunderstand me. A church is an organisation, and like any organisation, people are delegated roles that they are suited to and can be trusted with. It wouldn't make sense for someone who's only been to church a few weeks and is a poor public speaker to get up and preach on Sunday morning. But that doesn't make them any less entitled to the Kingdom of God than Brian Houston.
pretty funny how the jesus that church worships was anti money and material possessions yet hillsong is all about money, style, image etc. its the exact opposite of everything their imaginary god is about.
fuck hillsong, hypocritical lying faggots whos only "god" is the dollar. i hope you die a slow death mike gugglemucci
and the rich man came to jesus and said what must i do to be saved? jesus replied give up everything you have and follow me. the rich man went away sad.
seems like all of hillsong would be walking away sad. how about you ask that motherfucker pastor brian how his multi million dollar mansion is and if hes prepared to give it away for god. the answer would be an uncomfortable silence.
excuse me,but Jesus never said, that all rich people had to give up everything they had, and live in rags and follow him. That was his command to one person. Don't twist things out of context. Although he does say that it's easier to fit a camal through the eye of the needle then a rich man to get to heaven, he never said it couldn't happen.
And, He also said judge not that you be not judge. So think about that .
And since when is Brian Hustons personal Bank account any of your business?
Exactly. Have you ever heard Brian talking about wealth and giving it up? I have. That makes him a hypocrite, which is in Jesus eyes the worst thing a believer can do. Besides that, who is a Christian to ever say a non-believer will go to hell when the bible clearly states each man will be judged on his merits. You know it that happens.
HaRdzstylerR, God allows you to have the right to say and think absolutely anything that you wish. Speaking in tongues is a gift given by God to His followers and many times given by God when a person asks to be Baptized in the Holy Spirit. As a non-believer, this may be hard to understand. Through Jesus all of your sins are forgiven and you may spend eternity in Heaven, however, without Him, you will be judged by your actions on Earth. I hope that you are a really, really, really, good person.
why don't you taste and see the glory of the Lord through the Holy Spirit? He loves you and would love to speak to you even in a literal sense if He chooses to.
HaRdzstylerR...if that was the case, that would mean that every disciple and early church believers were in a cult as well. Read the book of ACTS...it will explain everything my friend.
I'm a guy on the youth worship team at hillsong and thought i'd let some of the hypocritical christians know that even thought mike didnt have cancer lots of people were brought and led to christ by him and i'm not supporting that he lied cause it hurt everyone at our church but the feelings that were felt during that song were of a genuiene man who was really sick maybe not from what we thought but he was sick and needed healing and i rekon people should get over themselves and keep living!!!
As a Christian, may I ask you a question? In the bible, Jesus cures a Lepor. Did he cure the physical disease, or the pyschological effects of being a Lepor? Given it is believed jesus is the same now as he was then, and there are no records of any man being cured medically or spiritually of leperosy since. Did Jesus walk on water, and how did Peter a mortal man walk on water, and why can we not do the same today. My profession incidently is on my profile. Thanks.
OK i see where your getting at but doesnt it say in the bible that the desciples tried to cast out a demon and they asked jesus why they couldnt and jesus replied why are your hearst so hard, where is your faith.
so i dunno man i rekon nobody has enough faith to walk on water,
In simple terms, Jesus was teaching his disciples to go and do whatever it took to love their neighbour, even if it embarassed them, or if it caused them to be harassed at times Demons were simply peoples troubles, and his disciples struggled with the fact they they had the power to change lives. They never had faith in Jesus teachings. The miracle of the loaves and fish (bread =fundamentals of life, fish=love, peace) is about how love multiplies, which was what jesus taught.
The miracle of the loaves and fish is almost the same as the Last Supper or communion in a church service. The bread represents spiritual food, a reminder of what jesus stood for, and wine, symobolic of blood, which is a covernment or agreement. When you take communion, you are in the greater sense, agreeing to continue in Jesus commission, or mission and teachings.
This man speaks the truth. Even Jesus can use a jackass to speak the truth. Pastor Brian Houston is a false teacher who can not even heal is sheep from pornography. If Pastor Houston was speaking the truth, there would be no one in his church that is lukewarm. The lukewarm will be vomited out Jesus' church and into the great tribulation. Jesus does not want lukewarm Christians in His church. Pastor Brian Houston I hope you repent and start speaking the truth becuz u r hanging over hell.
I as a christian and a part of the youth at hillsong am semi-proud of Mike. He made a big mistake and was really hypocritical with the messages he brought to us but they were good messages. I got a lot out of them and i bet there are heaps of other teenagers who did as well. And i am proud that he came out and told the church the truth. It takes alot of guts to do that. I was really sad when i first found out but then i realised that God is a forgiving God, and if God can forgive him, i can.
Being perfect like Noah in the Bible saved himself from destruction that came upon the whole earth. Jesus we preach that we may present all men perfect before God. Jesus gave us the five fold ministry so the saints on earth can be perfected and walk without sin. Jesus Himself said, I have not found your works to be perfect so that means Jesus wants us to be perfect while we walk this earth as man w/ the divine nature inside of us.
Noah wasn't perfect. Although what he did wasn't as bad as others, he did get drunk and naked.
Some Christians believe that Noah wasn't righteous but that he was chosen by God - just as we are chosen by God - and that his faith in God counted as righteousness.
hardzstylerr.....u will ur own time with God too...He loves you so much ...u will remember people who shared the love of God in your life...hang in there u may not understand things in this life but i believe that God will eventually reveal things to u...get ready...
If a person really wants to Jesus, they BETTER be getting alone with the Father for several hours praying and meditating on His word. Because if you can't spend several hours in prayer and reading your Bible, you will never know who God is. To get into the kingdom of heaven, you must press into it and give everything you have everyday to know the Father in heaven. You have to be without sin to hear from God and walk with Him. Sin separates us from God.
Your all idiots how you accuse other people...you dont know the first about the bible if you talk the way you do...just because you read it doesnt mean you know what your talking about....your own faith are weak...you all have to rememeber these men are human as for yourself and we all make mistakes...we will always fall...the only perfect christian in history was jesus christ himself.....
The Bible teaches us not to be mere humans or mortals. If we are to live as humans on earth, you will die spiritually and if you think like a mere human you are dead spiritually. God's people don't ever have to fall from His grace ever again after repenting. And you are wrong about Jesus the only one being perfect in the Bible for the Word of God says, that Noah was perfect. By the way, Christians can become perfect for it is a commandment from Jesus for us to be perfect.
Pastor Brian Houston a member of your church has been bound to pornography for 14 years and you are to blame. You have not healed Christ's people. Brian H. you have failed Christ and because you lack the power of Christ in your life, their blood will be on your hands. How can a Christian be bound to pornography for 14 years and still be going to church? Hillsong Church is not about the power of Christ but the lust of the world.
For this is the love of God that we keep His commandments and His commandments are not burdensome. Jesus Himself IF YOU LOVE Me, you will keep My commandments. He who keeps Jesus' commandments will be loved by the Father and the Son. I know the Father and the Son love me because I am righteous and I keep His commandments. He has washed me in His blood and I am a son of God that can overcome all sin in my fleshly body.
Who are we to blame! We let God judge. I believe the phrase 'hate the sin, love the sinner' still applies, no matter how famous a person is. Should a pastor be held accountable for the entire congregation's sins? These comments are filled with judgments and remarks that I don't think should come from the mouths of believers. We are not perfect, but we are forgiven. If a church brings people to salvation and encourages the christian walk, it is effective in God's Name, which is a blessing.
Yes it does, but the point I am making is that one doesn't have to have a personal relationship with Jesus to follow Jesus. Many Christians call Hinduism a false religion, and yet one of its greatest leaders says what the bible say. It is ignorance on the behalf of the Christian to suggest anyone outside Christianity can teach the same as Jesus taught, and you know this ignorance is taught in the church.
Your logic is rather vague. Just because someone follows the Hindu religion (a false religion), doesn't make everything its followers say untrue. Anyone who isn't a Christian can still utter the words of Jesus, and if they believe those words PRAISE GOD for planting the seed in that person, hopefully growing to the point of accepting Jesus as Savior
The problem here is this. Savior of what? Sin? And what is the opposite of sin? Rightousness. You imply that by accepting Jesus as your savior changes things. Well the true is, it doesn't any more than any other religion does. All the great leaders such as Jesus and Ghandi simply make us aware of where our focus should be, while accpting we will sin along the way. Also, if Hinuism is a false religion, then Christianity is also a religion, and therefore it is simply a belief structure.
I understand your posts less and less with each one.
Accepting Jesus as Savior from sin DOES change something. We were in sin and not worthy to approach the Lord in prayer and inthe righteous place of Heaven. But, once becoming a child of God as a believer in His Son as our sacrifice for our sins, we become worthy or entering His kingdom. From that point on, we will not live perfect lives, but ones with Jesus as our example, as forgiven ones. We strive to sin-less.
I think we will have to agree to disagree. I suspect you have engrossed yourself in so much theology, you are really just reading the script so to speak. But good luck to you.
It's more like the Truth I believe in and live by. And, yes, you'll probably hear similar sayings and teachings from other believers, since we believe in the same foundation: the Word of God, the Bible.
Don't blame Mike G. for anything. The blame goes to Brian Houston the Pastor of the Church. If any church member is still in bondage to sin, it is the Pastor's fault and Pastor's preaching. Pastor's are to cleanse the sheep with Jesus' words with power. If the Pastor has no power of Christ in himself, his flock and congregation will continue to live in bondage to all sorts of sins. Brian Houston I hope you repent and stop being a dumb dog!!!!!!!
Pastor Brian Houston's sermons suck! They are so boring and monotonous. I think he is spiritually dead and dumb. I've listened to many of his sermons and they suck! I mean what does this guy do all day? Does he spend time reading his bible at all? He is a dumb dog.

I'm so disgusted that your church tells people that prayer can cure disease. We've seen recently what effect telling such lies can have on innocent people, and may I suggest that you should be more concerned about their well-being than trying to make your god sound extra magical.

Sickening.

TheLindslinky 1 year ago 11
@TheLindslinky Have you been healed of anything recently? Seen anyone healed. It's all a lie.
TENBolt 3 months ago
@TheLindslinky Um. There is a difference between sickness and sin. Cancer is a sickness. An obsession with porn is a sin.
That's why this song is wrong. If it really was a cry from Michael Guglielmucci's heart it would not have been called 'healer' but 'forgiver' and would have spoken of repentence.
The fact that it didn't means you argument is false.

TheSkiddy12 5 months ago
@TheSkiddy12 What are you talking about? That is not true. Hillsong actually did help the aboriginals. I saw it while i was visiting the church. It was all caught on camera. They built more homes. Secondly, houston only gets $300,000 a year out of the 60 million they get per year. Half of the money is spent on missions and half of the money is spent on missions/less fortunate and the other half is spent on worship, maintenance and staff. And i don't see what is wrong with a rich church.
davo9678 5 months ago
@TheSkiddy12 Brian Houston actually doesn't even get paid by Hillsong church. His only income is from the books that he writes, in which he still only takes a fraction of that. Don't call Hillsong a "house of lies and delusion" when you get your information from "lies and delusions" of anti-religious sources.

starstyx 1 year ago
I think it is pretty despicable how you christians think that this man can be forgiven or his fraud forgotten, just because "jesus loves" and "god forgives". These empty platitudes mean nothing to most people. If he had lied to the welfare system about having cancer, he would've been locked up. And it is interesting how much attention you pay to trying to forgive this man, and yet you say nothing in the way of apology to all the real cancer sufferers he has hurt. Typical of religion.
Freethinking2010 1 year ago
@Freethinking2010 oh shh! don't other's lie and cheat everyday, just it's not as highlighted because they aren't christians? This and the Todd Bently thing have been spotlighted so much. But tbh what has been done has been done, and God is forgiving and so are we. Christianity is NOT a religion. Religion is the bad stuff that comes along with a faith, all the ceremonial and hiarachal stuff. So yeah, if you don't agree with the forgivness, that's your choice. Best thing: forgive and move on. :)
MandyWHY 1 year ago
@MandyWHY Thank you for your comment. But I'm allowed to give my opinion, so the "oh shh!" might be a little unnecessary. If you con the welfare state, you get locked up. If you are fraudulent at work, you get sacked. If you cheat at school, you can get suspended etc etc. But if you're a pastor, in whom people have "faith and trust", and you are caught lying (in the most despicable way), you get "forgiveness from god"? No, I'm afraid it doesn't work like that for most people.
Freethinking2010 1 year ago
@Freethinking2010 Sorry that "oh shh" is something I've just got into the habbit of saying. Sorry if it offended you. And true true, the worldly punishments are quite great. But it is up to God to have the final say. It is down to us to let him be the judge. "in the world, but not of the world" and all that. and yeah, you can have your opinion, but it's no fair if you are insulting someone else's faith yah know. If the christian community want to forgive, let us.
MandyWHY 1 year ago
@MandyWHY No offence taken, and it sounds like you didn't mean it, so no worries. The problem here is that the people he hurt goes beyond the christian community and those who bought his record, all of whom I do not really worry about. No apology is made to the millions of innocent cancer sufferers hurt by this shameful charade. And sorry to say this, but I'm not going out of my way to insult his faith; I'm entitled to say he took advantage of his position in the faith of others to lie badly.
Freethinking2010 1 year ago
@Freethinking2010 okay point seen. But I don't think there was a massive uproar from the cancer sufferers, and i think in his big appology he did appologise to them. But this happened like two years ago. The song is still relevant, I still use this song in worship sets and that. So the only thing to do now is just to move on :)

@walkabout09 minutes you might see that. The reason I am engaged in this dialogue with you is not for argument or to express my beliefs. I am expressing truth to you that matters.

His true followers lives
autumnfriday03 1 year ago
@walkabout09 trust its history. Some disputes do exist, but they become fewer all the time as archaeology continues to confirm the Bible as historically reliable. Say what you want and choose not to believe the Bible if you will, but the very words you speak invalidate your opinion on the subject. You have never taken the time to study the Bible. I can tell by your rash use of here-say, devoid of "facts". Making a statement does not make the statement true. Look at the facts, not your own or
autumnfriday03 1 year ago
@walkabout09 The only books of the Bible that have no root in history are the ones you enjoy such as the Gospel of Thomas and Judas which were written long after Thomas and Judas died. The Old Testament has been confirmed over and over to be historically accurate. You will not find many credible scholars who believe the Bible to be historically inaccurate. The overwhelming consensus is that the Bible is historically accurate. Not everyone agrees with the teaching of the Bible, but most by far
autumnfriday03 1 year ago
@walkabout09 Your version of the facts are skewed walkabout. I am not here to argue with you, so this will be my last post here. As a History specialist as well as a Bible scholar, I can assure you that the historicity of the Bible is unbelievably well attested. The books of the New Testament were complete within 70 years of Jesus' death and the New Testament as we know it today was well established within 200 or so years after Jesus death. These facts are well attested through ancient documents
autumnfriday03 1 year ago
@walkabout09 Start with the Gospel of John and ask yourself if it could be true. Maybe there is a God out there who loves you and gave Himself up for you. If it is true, it has huge implications for you life. Walkabout, Jesus does love you and He wants to have a relationship with you. Remember, being at a zoo does not make you a monkey any more than being in church makes you a Christian. Look at the Bible for yourself. Don't let evil people who name Jesus keep you from actually knowing Jesus.
autumnfriday03 1 year ago
@walkabout09 Over and over again the Bible has been affirmed by history and archeology. The burden of proof is on you about this, not us. The historicity of the Bible is well documented. I do not know of one real problem history or archaeology has with the Bible. If you can produce this evidence, then do it and we can discuss it. Everything you have said against the Bible is mere here-say. Textually, the Bible is the most accurate of any ancient book by far. I challenge you; read the Bible.
autumnfriday03 1 year ago
@walkabout09 This is evidenced by their actions. Jesus says that people will know His followers by the way they live their lives (Matthew 7:16). If a life does not match up with Jesus' teaching, the person or group is not Christian. I reject the authority of the Pope and accept the authority of the Bible alone. If you will remember, the catholic church killed many protestant Christians in those days as well as others. Finally, you need to get your facts about the Bible straight.
autumnfriday03 1 year ago
@walkabout09 First, Hitler was no Christian and his ideologies were based on Darwin and naturalism. Hitler may have been on some church role somewhere but he certainly did not live out Christian principles. The Bible teaches against racism in saying that "in Christ there is neither jew nor greek, slave nor free, male nor female" (Galatians 3:28). Second, the Pope does not speak for all Christians, he speaks for catholics of which I am not. The catholic church of those old days was not Christian.
autumnfriday03 1 year ago
@walkabout09 ...Also, if you are going to attribute every atrocity done in the name of Christianity to Christians and the Bible, what do you do with Hitler's, Stalin's, Mao's and other Atheist/Naturalist leaders atrocities. Atheism has caused infinitely more death and destruction than and would be Christian. You need to actually read the Bible, see what it teaches, and meet some real Christians before you pass such a harsh judgement on us.
autumnfriday03 1 year ago
@walkabout09 ... Walkabout, I find it interesting that you are so willing to blast the Bible and those who believe in it. I sense a lot of hate in your words. I perceive that you are an atheist. I see the words you have written attributing evil acts in Europe and around the world to Christians. I feel like I must interject something here. There are many who have called themselves Christian throughout the centuries who never knew Jesus. Those who know Jesus are changed by Him.

You may have to search for that video on youtube or find out where to contact the people for a refund. It sounds like they've taken measures to make things right.

what the hell do you mean? "HIDDEN AGENDA"??? ... how can one defend that line of questioning. That is the oldest term in the book in Canadian politics ... impossible to defend .... btw, what is your hidden agenda???
martymitt 2 years ago

@erreip01 then why does it need churches and a heirachy?
TheMBaggins11 1 year ago
@TheMBaggins11 Churches have hierarchies. Christianity does not. Every man, woman and child on earth has equal access to the love of God.
froggerchanovsky 1 year ago
@froggerchanovsky Well not everyone in the world has access to the knowledge of God though so no, no they don't.
TheMBaggins11 1 year ago
@TheMBaggins11 And that's why churches have mission programs to spread the knowledge of God. Absolutely anybody can accept Jesus and becomes a Christian, and all people are equal under God. Like I said; God has no hierarchy, only churches do.
froggerchanovsky 1 year ago
@froggerchanovsky by that reasoning then, churches do not represent God, only themselves.
TheMBaggins11 1 year ago
@TheMBaggins11 You misunderstand me. A church is an organisation, and like any organisation, people are delegated roles that they are suited to and can be trusted with. It wouldn't make sense for someone who's only been to church a few weeks and is a poor public speaker to get up and preach on Sunday morning. But that doesn't make them any less entitled to the Kingdom of God than Brian Houston.

seems like all of hillsong would be walking away sad. how about you ask that motherfucker pastor brian how his multi million dollar mansion is and if hes prepared to give it away for god. the answer would be an uncomfortable silence.
HILLSONG IS LIES
jadehudson98 2 years ago
excuse me,but Jesus never said, that all rich people had to give up everything they had, and live in rags and follow him.
Ascendthestairs 2 years ago

HaRdzstylerR 2 years ago
HaRdzstylerR, God allows you to have the right to say and think absolutely anything that you wish. Speaking in tongues is a gift given by God to His followers and many times given by God when a person asks to be Baptized in the Holy Spirit. As a non-believer, this may be hard to understand. Through Jesus all of your sins are forgiven and you may spend eternity in Heaven, however, without Him, you will be judged by your actions on Earth. I hope that you are a really, really, really, good person.

Thanks.
craggles80 2 years ago
Sorry, medically, not spiritually.
craggles80 2 years ago
OK i see where your getting at but doesnt it say in the bible that the desciples tried to cast out a demon and they asked jesus why they couldnt and jesus replied why are your hearst so hard, where is your faith.
so i dunno man i rekon nobody has enough faith to walk on water,
SeakOne10 2 years ago
In simple terms, Jesus was teaching his disciples to go and do whatever it took to love their neighbour, even if it embarassed them, or if it caused them to be harassed at times Demons were simply peoples troubles, and his disciples struggled with the fact they they had the power to change lives. They never had faith in Jesus teachings. The miracle of the loaves and fish (bread =fundamentals of life, fish=love, peace) is about how love multiplies, which was what jesus taught.
craggles80 2 years ago
The miracle of the loaves and fish is almost the same as the Last Supper or communion in a church service. The bread represents spiritual food, a reminder of what jesus stood for, and wine, symobolic of blood, which is a covernment or agreement. When you take communion, you are in the greater sense, agreeing to continue in Jesus commission, or mission and teachings.
craggles80 2 years ago
Your love is perverted, you speak in your demonic tongues, and you corrupt the word of God. You are the Blasphemer, and a hypocrite.

BudsClass229 2 years ago
Your all idiots how you accuse other people...you dont know the first about the bible if you talk the way you do...just because you read it doesnt mean you know what your talking about....your own faith are weak...you all have to rememeber these men are human as for yourself and we all make mistakes...we will always fall...the only perfect christian in history was jesus christ himself.....
beeboi179 2 years ago

BudsClass229 2 years ago
Who are we to blame! We let God judge. I believe the phrase 'hate the sin, love the sinner' still applies, no matter how famous a person is. Should a pastor be held accountable for the entire congregation's sins? These comments are filled with judgments and remarks that I don't think should come from the mouths of believers. We are not perfect, but we are forgiven. If a church brings people to salvation and encourages the christian walk, it is effective in God's Name, which is a blessing.
moonlightcape 2 years ago
It is ironic that the person who said "Hate the Sin, love the sinner" was no other than Ghandi.
craggles80 2 years ago
Doesn't the Bible speak of God hating sin? And, we are to love our neighbor as ourselves.
moonlightcape 2 years ago
Yes it does, but the point I am making is that one doesn't have to have a personal relationship with Jesus to follow Jesus. Many Christians call Hinduism a false religion, and yet one of its greatest leaders says what the bible say. It is ignorance on the behalf of the Christian to suggest anyone outside Christianity can teach the same as Jesus taught, and you know this ignorance is taught in the church.
craggles80 2 years ago
can't teach, sorry.
craggles80 2 years ago
Your logic is rather vague. Just because someone follows the Hindu religion (a false religion), doesn't make everything its followers say untrue. Anyone who isn't a Christian can still utter the words of Jesus, and if they believe those words PRAISE GOD for planting the seed in that person, hopefully growing to the point of accepting Jesus as Savior
moonlightcape 2 years ago
The problem here is this. Savior of what? Sin? And what is the opposite of sin? Rightousness. You imply that by accepting Jesus as your savior changes things. Well the true is, it doesn't any more than any other religion does. All the great leaders such as Jesus and Ghandi simply make us aware of where our focus should be, while accpting we will sin along the way. Also, if Hinuism is a false religion, then Christianity is also a religion, and therefore it is simply a belief structure.
craggles80 2 years ago
and I apologise about my terrible spelling. I must not rush next time.
craggles80 2 years ago
I understand your posts less and less with each one.
Accepting Jesus as Savior from sin DOES change something. We were in sin and not worthy to approach the Lord in prayer and inthe righteous place of Heaven. But, once becoming a child of God as a believer in His Son as our sacrifice for our sins, we become worthy or entering His kingdom. From that point on, we will not live perfect lives, but ones with Jesus as our example, as forgiven ones. We strive to sin-less.
moonlightcape 2 years ago 5
I think we will have to agree to disagree. I suspect you have engrossed yourself in so much theology, you are really just reading the script so to speak. But good luck to you.
craggles80 2 years ago
It's more like the Truth I believe in and live by. And, yes, you'll probably hear similar sayings and teachings from other believers, since we believe in the same foundation: the Word of God, the Bible.
moonlightcape 2 years ago 2

Don't blame Mike G. for anything. The blame goes to Brian Houston the Pastor of the Church. If any church member is still in bondage to sin, it is the Pastor's fault and Pastor's preaching. Pastor's are to cleanse the sheep with Jesus' words with power. If the Pastor has no power of Christ in himself, his flock and congregation will continue to live in bondage to all sorts of sins. Brian Houston I hope you repent and stop being a dumb dog!!!!!!!
BudsClass229 2 years ago
Pastor Brian Houston's sermons suck! They are so boring and monotonous. I think he is spiritually dead and dumb. I've listened to many of his sermons and they suck! I mean what does this guy do all day? Does he spend time reading his bible at all? He is a dumb dog.
