I was invited to an Arizona ranch, where they used to film movies. They had lots of animals, the first stop was the American Buffalo (Bison) with the cow. I love animals and shooting video, so I was living the best of both worlds. The Buffalo was playing for minutes before he started chasing the cow, loved it. Then the case began, so I kept filming... will post the long version soon...

I stopped the video at the perfect spot, since he was coming for me. Had to put the camera down so I could jump on the Buffalo and tame it a bit. We then took the cow to the hospital, where it was checked and released with no serious injuries..... :)

Somehow I feel that this video is made for the sole purpose of getting people to donate money for cow welfare. This means it could be the uploader who filmed it and also put those two animals together in the first place in order to produce a catching video. It wouldn't be the first time somebody did that.
Having said that, it goes without saying that animal welfare is an important issue and some farms fails horribly. Sadly cruel farms tend to stay cruel even if cruelty is banned.
So, how do you feel about your feeling being wrong? I didn't upload this as a way for people to donate to the cow non profit. I added that years later for the many people who were very upset over this video, wanted to give them an option to help cows in case they really cared about the cow.
As much as that was cruel to the cow and no one likes to see that, me included.
You should think yourself lucky that farmer even let you on his property. You used a film clip you filmed on his land to advertise for donations to an animal activist group. Donating may ease your bleeding heart concience but that money will be used against the cattle industry which provides income for many people. Giving money will not protect cattle but destroy industry and make it harder for farmers. mmm steak.

I'm from Iowa, my father and grandfather were farmers. I support small farmers and don't have a problem eating meat, just don't like how the big factory farms treat their animals, so don't have problem if their sales went down.

I stopped the video at the perfect spot, since he was coming for me. Had to put the camera down so I could jump on the Buffalo and tame it a bit. We then took the cow to the hospital, where it was checked and released with no serious injuries..... :)
So did you read this AKSailing? If so, just wanted you to waste a few more seconds... can't get them back, sorry. lol

Somehow I feel that this video is made for the sole purpose of getting people to donate money for cow welfare. This means it could be the uploader who filmed it and also put those two animals together in the first place in order to produce a catching video. It wouldn't be the first time somebody did that.
Having said that, it goes without saying that animal welfare is an important issue and some farms fails horribly. Sadly cruel farms tend to stay cruel even if cruelty is banned.

So, how do you feel about your feeling being wrong? I didn't upload this as a way for people to donate to the cow non profit. I added that years later for the many people who were very upset over this video, wanted to give them an option to help cows in case they really cared about the cow.

As much as that was cruel to the cow and no one likes to see that, me included.
You should think yourself lucky that farmer even let you on his property. You used a film clip you filmed on his land to advertise for donations to an animal activist group. Donating may ease your bleeding heart concience but that money will be used against the cattle industry which provides income for many people. Giving money will not protect cattle but destroy industry and make it harder for farmers. mmm steak.

This was not a farm. I didn't use the video clip to raise money for an animal activist group. I added that years later after lots of people not liking this video.
I'm from Iowa, my father and grandfather were farmers. I support small farmers and don't have a problem eating meat, just don't like how the big factory farms treat their animals, so don't have problem if their sales went down.

I just wanted to say first this is a very bad situation. I hate it when people lie commenting about this just to make the actions of this video worse! What I'm trying to say is "People this is not a little calf It's an adult cow." If you have seen a bison in person then you would know bison are 5 times the size of cows. I can't believe people would call this adult cow a little calf! Get your facts right people! The world is a merciless place as it is without people making it worse.

We are quite multicultural and he's also had friends from Latin America. I'm a mutt myself. He never treated me like an *alien*. This is the kind of exchange I always seek for.
