@TheFinalAuthority, you are right about the original recording--unique to that recording was that the introit was not sung by a woman (soprano) but by American Boychoir. As a fan of Libera (possibly the best known choral "boy band"), I've come to appreciate the treble (pre-pubescent boy) singing voice. Something special about it.

This little hymn is very beautiful to the point where Mr Smith is trying to "build" with the "Holy theme". But his voice is to small even with mic compression. His voice is sart and beautiful, but not strong. It has not wide dynamics. Anyway; nice song!

When I first heard this song, I played it until I didnt know what to do with myself.
