2. Need more strict enforcement of traffic laws and tougher penalties. Fines are way too low in my opinion.
3. It may be time for some traffic violations to become jailable offenses. Excessive speed, running through red traffic lights and stop signs and following too close should require mandatory jail time.
4. Frequent examinations of a driver's abilities. I don't know how it works in other countries but where i live, once you get your licence, you are pretty much test-free (until you are involved in an accident in which case they re-evaluate your licence; too late).
5. Increased public surveillance. Accidents are pretty much a leading cause of deaths. Isn't it a good reason to invest money on? Adding security will increase people's attention and respect towards the laws.
Hit from behind at 65mph while waiting for traffic to merge onto freeway. Car traveled 300yards 360 . 4 years of surgeries and another one coming on the 25th. They can not remove my smile, both my wife and I lived.. Some don't
Four years later and 5 surgeries with 2 to go on me. The wife had 8 oral surgeries. She just lost another tooth. Most people do not know of the lasting effects of an accident. The good news, We wake to be together each day and no one can remove the smile...
sorry to see this man. I wish i had a beater truck or even a tank and i would love to put that guy in his place. its like with drunk driving. the drunks always kill the innocent and we get to pay for their 3 meals a day, work out room. basketball courts and all that in prison while the others are dead or sadly permanently disabled. Im sorry man i feel really bad. Its really sad knowing that we cant stop these stupid drivers
that rly sucks when i saw the car i didn't think much damge was made but then i read your description and that sucks. my cousin got her car flipped several times and she only got a few cuts and bruses. i guess if your car take a lot or little it could be different for you. i feel for you man stupid retard drivers.
I sympathize. My best friend was hit by a teenage driver who went through a red light because she wasn't paying attention. Then they told her they didn't need to stay for the cops. Luckily she wasn't hurt. I am always amazed by the stupidity of drivers. I live in a college town and during the school year it is noticeably worse.
a collage aged girl drove right in to the back of a guy in a van at the light behind the our house. she was doing 40 and never even taped the brakes on the phone and the fools she was on the phone showed up and started cussing at the cops when they wouldnt let them talk to her.
she totaled her car and broke her foot. i was in the back yard when it happened and heard it.
My Best Wishes! i hope everything from now on is smooth sailing for you and your wife.
Take care,
Tim

I will add my 2 cents on this.
1. Driving age needs to be increased to 18.
2. Need more strict enforcement of traffic laws and tougher penalties. Fines are way too low in my opinion.
3. It may be time for some traffic violations to become jailable offenses. Excessive speed, running through red traffic lights and stop signs and following too close should require mandatory jail time.
