guys google spark unlimited their unnanounced title is a third person action sci fi game. lucasarts also recently signed with unreal engine 3. and on the website it lists that the game is for a large audience and that the game uses unreal engine 3. just wanted to let everyone know that battlefront 3 is most likely coming :)
This game is dead for right now. Unfortunately Free Radical tanked and when it returned to Lucas Arts it was brushed under the rug because of the budget cuts and staff layoffs at Lucas Arts. I really do hope they make BF III though. Or another Jedi Knight game. Hell even another Rogue Squadron type game would be great.

@WeAreTheOutlanders I really doubt that will happen, only time I can think of are companies who suck at ports so they don't port it at al like LA Noire. There is literally no point in keeping it exclusive to consoles, you see usually companies get a deal with Microsoft or Sony to get it exclusive, but both Sony and Microsoft profit from PC gaming so there's no point. That's why Gears Of War and Halo get ported to PC.

@1rebelboy yes. so your right.. they are still are clone troopers, regardless of the empire's reorganization of the military. i was remarking at how stormtroopers/clone troopers are used as cannon fodder in all the games, and not portrayed as professional soldiers.
@23HAMSANDWICH Ah ok. It's a shame, Clones were so good in Episode 2 and the Clone Wars series, yet Episode 3 onwards they become used as cannon fodder almost as much as the Stormtoopers were in the original trilogy.

The game needs to come out, it just has to. Just to show its superiority to COD! I think finally COD would be outsold. @pvtsoap262 CoD Finest Hour was decent, if Spark is using the Unreal 3 engine, Battlefront 3 has serious potential to kick ass. Let's wait until something is announced to judge.
All we need next is Republic Commando 2 and Star Wars will be back to its former glory in videogames.

@pvtsoap262 Yeah I agree Turning Point was shit, but I think it was because it ran on a horrible engine and Spark wasn't given enough time to make it. I think Spark could break out if LucasArts (the publisher) helps them out and gives them the time they need to create an awesome game.

It was not thier choice to scrap the game all the companies that it was handed to whent bankrupt or did not meet expectations just like free radical has now. guys google spark unlimited their unnanounced title is a third person action sci fi game. lucasarts also recently signed with unreal engine 3. and on the website it lists that the game is for a large audience and that the game uses unreal engine 3. just wanted to let everyone know that battlefront 3 is most likely coming :)

This game is dead for right now. Unfortunately Free Radical tanked and when it returned to Lucas Arts it was brushed under the rug because of the budget cuts and staff layoffs at Lucas Arts. I really do hope they make BF III though. Or another Jedi Knight game. Hell even another Rogue Squadron type game would be great.

I really hope this game comes out, but if it does, it will only be for PS3 And Xbox, I know it! That sucks, though, because I don't have those systems. (Actually don't want them!!) I know they won't, but they need to make this for PS2 to carry out the tradition. Plus, they probably won't make this for Wii. Anyone agree?

@WeAreTheOutlanders I really doubt that will happen, only time I can think of are companies who suck at ports so they don't port it at al like LA Noire. There is literally no point in keeping it exclusive to consoles, you see usually companies get a deal with Microsoft or Sony to get it exclusive, but both Sony and Microsoft profit from PC gaming so there's no point. That's why Gears Of War and Halo get ported to PC.

Someone has gone to a lot of effort to make the new stuff, it's not dead. What you see in this video is dead. Spark has been making the new BF3, just kept it under wraps a bit more. A company that I cant currently remember the name of was kicked off the project by Lucasarts and now a company called Spark is now making the game so none of that is true unless Spark create their own version of that which I hope they do. So now Spark is making Star Wars Battlefront III If you don't believe me you can look at their description for their next coming game. A small part of it says " We are currently creating a very famous Sci-fi game from the late 80's" May the force be with you =)

@90Blakey I know this already I researched it for my site, and Spark is announcing their game at Comic-Con 2011, the countdown clock is right at the bottom of their homepage. Oh and it's "Third'-Person shooter not first. My guess they will release the game when the Star Wars Blu-Ray is released this September.

@1rebelboy uhm seriously dude? stormtroopers and clone troopers are basically interchangeable terms before and after the battle of kamino. its only until sometime after the bok that the empire used different clones other than jango fett. the 501st still remained pure though. and the troopers seen with the emperor after the battle with yoda in the senate chamber were shock troopers. basically advanced stormtroopers. mere hours after the empire was formed

@1rebelboy yes. so your right.. they are still are clone troopers, regardless of the empire's reorganization of the military. i was remarking at how stormtroopers/clone troopers are used as cannon fodder in all the games, and not portrayed as professional soldiers.

@23HAMSANDWICH Ah ok. It's a shame, Clones were so good in Episode 2 and the Clone Wars series, yet Episode 3 onwards they become used as cannon fodder almost as much as the Stormtoopers were in the original trilogy.

@1rebelboy it is a shame. i hate how lucas handled it all. it seems like its only in the books that the clones are pictured better. the force unleashed is crap. everybody loved republic commando. i just want a game where you can play as the empire for once, and not have to switch sides halfway through the story. i am a big fan of the imperial navy, and its a real pity seeing the same rehashed ideas fleshed out over and over again, in a huge universe of possibilities.
