The EAA has harmed the ultralight movement by being an active party to the removal of the training exemption. Now guys don't have a reasonably inexpensive way to get pilot training. This was done to further what is now the Sport Pilot License - another mass of regulations and hoops to jump through. Just look at the EAA magazine. Most of the planes are $35K+...

This is a great video. It shows the good old days in Paradise City. Unfortunately they are no longer like that thanks to the EAA, and it's campaign against Ultralights, USUA and the total freedom of flying that they represented. It is a pity.
