The "Designer Dog" world is just fueling out puppy mill problem. I live in Iowa and we are the second worst state when it comes to these facilities. If people just woke up and realized that a $600 designer dog is the same as adopting a mutt from the shelter. We, at Bailing out Benji, are trying to educate the consumer before they make these purchases.

@SamirasoFi A cavachon is already a mixed breed... It is a mix between a king charles cavalier and a bichon frise. So if you added a third breed each puppy would come out differently. That is why "designer dogs" will never be accepted by the AKC, they are technically mutts.

I have 2 female Cavachons! Chloe got spayed, but Izzy isn't. I'm hoping for her to have puppies someday. Chloe is white with apricot spots, while the other one is white with black spots. They both came from Ohio Puppy.

@jaxon12kh Ohio puppy is a puppy mill. Please watch out for your dogs! Puppy mill puppies often have really bad illnesses later on in life! I wouldn't suggest breeding either. Not only does America have an awful pet overpopulation problem, but your dog might have genetic diseases that you are unaware of.

@jaxon12kh I haven't. But I haven read their USDA inspection reports and they are full of violations and I also read about some sick puppies that were sold. Just be careful! I spend a lot of my time (at Bailing Out Benji) researching these places... Not a good industry.

@bailingoutbenji Now that you mention it, when I got Chloe, she ended up with hip problems and epilepsy in her adulthood. Izzy, the youngest, got a stomach bug. But she's healthy now. She only had this problem when we first got here. But the pups there don't have injuries, are very happy, excited, and active. They do have 2-4 pups in a cage.

@jaxon12kh I am glad you are realizing this now... Please don't buy another dog. You can find any breed at petfinder . com. They are all adoptables and they are healthy/fixed. If you haven't already, look up bailing out Benji or google puppy mills.

@jaxon12kh Okay... Well, just so you know, you are going to be mixing three breeds- just making more mutts in this already overpopulated pet world. I know that you love your dog and think that she would have adorable puppies, but for them giving birth is a miserable process. They hate it and get absolutely no "loving" feelings for their pups. This world has so many puppies already, if you really, truly love your dog you would get her spayed

@jaxon12kh There is no such thing. It is NEVER too late to get a dog spayed/neutered. (Unless she has some convincing health problem as to why she couldn't get spayed)

I rescued a 2 yr old from the pound. She was all matted up but cute as could be and friendly too. Took her to the salon and they had to shave her down to the pink. Shes starting to grow out and getting cuter every day. We thought she was a laso or some mix but later found out she was a cavachon so now our neighbors are like, ooo check them out with there designer dog lol. Shes a great addition to our family.

@Shavanese denise correll in north carolina is the most affordable and she is very very respectable. she wont allow you to adopt the puppies until they are 8 weeks old though. Prices vary. Thats where I got my cavachon from. Also, gleneden is a very professional dependable farm. i believe their cavachons go for about $1200. Foxglove is another good breeder. There are two more in South Carolina as well, but i cant think of the names :)
