Hi - will I be able to play music through the auxiliary jack if I don't need the GPS feature? Or will the GPS app always need to be running? If I'm playing music, will the Magellan app do navigation at the same time? I thought the Ipod Touch OS only does one app at a time... Please advse. BTW, thanks for a very informative review.

Great review! How does the music player work, as it was shown on the screen of the magellan? And how does bluetooth work?

Thanks. The iPod plays in the background in your choice of GPS apps or any app for that matter. Sound comes out of the built in speaker or the line out in the mount. Bluetooth works great for voice calls.

Great review as usual! Love that video quality :) One question though - What does it mean that the car kit amplifies the signal? What I mean is, I still don't understand how it's possible to use the iPod Touch so well as u do in the video?

What that means is that the Magellan cradle has a built-in GPS. So if you have an iPod touch 2nd or 3rd generation it works because it uses the cradle's GPS chip. If you have an iPhone 3G or 3GS it works by BOOSTING the GPS signal because it has its own GPS chip. That's how I was able to use it with an iPod touch. The cradle becomes the GPS hardware at that point.
