Beautiful video and beautiful music, it made me cry. I have AS myself. The world needs awareness of what Autism actually is and support for us, not all of the cure nonsense which is going on. The media grossly misrepresents autism and as a result Autistic individuals experience far too much discrimination.
Also, the main emotion I experiences isn't fear, its....well I dunno, I've got too many emotions to keep track of them all all of the time, but it isn't fear.
Moving film. Really hits the spot. Teary watching it. Our daughter's autism was early onset. Late with all developmental milestones. Autism caused by rare chromosome disorder, 1q21.1 microdeletion. Not diagnosed until she was 22. Wish we'd known earlier.
Beautiful and heart-wrenching Video. My youngest son was recently diagnosed with Autism, it took us almost two years of hastling the local authorities to get the conformation of what we already knew in our hearts.
People without Autistic children rarely ever understand, I really hope that this video can open their eyes a little more. Thank You
Enthralling and educational video - thank you. What I keep coming back to, though, is: why have the figures risen so much in recent years? There must be answers to this. And, although I'll probably get abuse for saying this, there is much concrete evidence to suggest that heavy vaccinations given to babies (who of course have immature immune-systems), can and does cause autism in some. In fact I've seen it happen, personally. Beware the Government's propaganda machine using fear tactics.
amazing. thankyou for making this video. its not easy living with autism. i have it not so bad but i still get upset cuz im terrified of the dark and that makes people laugh. its nothing to be ashamed of though. we're different and we should be proud of that :) good luck in the future lizzy x

Thank you for this! You have two beautiful girls! My heart goes out to you as a family.
My son was diagnosed with Dyspraxia, Dysphasia and Dysarthria when under 5 years old and, at 18, diagnosed (very late, imo) with Asperger's Syndrome.
Though he is not as greatly affected as some he is still, pretty much, a loner and has never had a job.
He is intelligent and has some great interests that, though they can cause some disruption, keep him happy.
Life isn't easy but I love my son.

I feel a bit teary now. Most grateful to my friends who are wonderful at coping with me, even before I was diagnosed.

I'm glad this isn't about trying to find a 'cure'. I have AS and the last thing I want is to be cured
