@seektravota - true, but the point isn't so much to speed up your thinking as it is to enhance your memory, make connections with stuff you thought of a long time ago and may have forgotten and to use a way to organize information.
I'm not sure I fully understand your question, but you can have as many parent/children on a thought as you'd like. If you haven't already, download it and give it a try!
Hi, I'm new to PersonalBrain and I was looking for anyone familiar with the software to tell me if there is a way to increase the amount of link nodes within parent thoughts. There seem to be only 3 linking nodes per thought and I want to make 3+X, simply because of visual reasons.
This is the single most useful program I have ever used. I've been crashing up against the limitations of conventional mind maps for years: forced hierarchy, grows too large to be manageable and (most importantly) inability to change the root thought. It's usually thought of as a storage tool, but its main value to me is as a thinking tool, when I don't know the relationships and categories yet. You can even use it as a group brainstorming tool remotely with any of the online meeting services.
This software is not as good as it appears at first glance. I used v4 and v5... but now transferring my data to another application (Kinook's UltraRecall). I recommend to do a lot of research before getting locked in to something doesn't meet your needs.
@gerasbudas I have the same experience, I don't think it's a good tool at all and doesn't really bring a lot of new things to the scene, other than the, only at first, cool looking interface. Once the cool factor wears off, you'll start to notice how limited this product really is, even if the maker tries to believe you otherwise.
Something like this has a lot of potential. Creating shortcuts for ideas and organizing them. Ubiquity would be a superb hook combined with PB. Thanks for your review.
Like the last poster, I want to thank you for your video. I stumbled upon PB similar to the way you did. I have always thought of the personal computer as an "extension of my brain", but now I can see how PB can serve as the "map of the extension of my brain". Been waiting to have something like this for years, and your video helped convince me to get a license for the full product. Many thanks!
Thank you for your take on the Personal Brain program! I am still in the beginning stages of mapping my mind, but it was good to see how you are utilizing it!
Great tool for organizing work projects.

you'll use more time using the software than actually thinking about your idea.

this is great, but i can't hold my brain waves still,
just to write what i'm thinking of.
it's like a writer trying to find the aproprate next word.. the brain is faster
then any software. and whether you want it or not he automatically calculate alot of
life equasions far greater than names and dates..
if i wanted still to do homework i'd stay in school.

@gerasbudas Can you explain why Ultra Recall is good? Im searching for a good software to capture and manage ideas.
