Congratulations Miguel Heras, for a perfectly timed race. Thank you Dakota Jones,
Geoff Roes, Dave Mackey and all the rest that were competing on the dance floor as well as, Jim Vernon for presenting an exciting 50 mile trail race. Loved it ! Now how do I get that song out of my head? O well, "Everybody to the Dance Floor".
skeptical with the winner Heras.....4 minutes back with several miles to go and then finished 4 minutes ahead of second place....and a brother of a spanish cyclist....ahhh...thats some ridiculous pull in the last stages of a tough 50miler.
@daxlkelm75 I may have put in about 4 miles on the day.....sorry to burst anyone's bubble. I left some good driving footage on the editing room floor, I'll save it for the Director's Cut
Regarding the first part, I don't think it was the hills, the rain, or the starting pace that Dakota found difficult. I think it was trying to be nice while someone is interviewing him at mile 48 while he's trying to focus and dig deep. Great footage, but please be respectful of the effort that these guys are putting forth.
@breeves2000 Hopefully Dakota can chime in here and let us all know...I was definitely excited to watch the race unfold and truly wasn't looking to annoy a racer. However his comment on the video sounds similar to his blog post after the race " I gave it everything I had and ran in the front for the first 38 miles, but just wasn't strong enough to keep going to the end. So it's somewhat disappointing, but overall I'm very pleased." See .thatdakotajones.blogspot.com
@Endurables Understood and I apologize if the comment sounded overly terse. I know that Young Money is far too nice to let on if he was annoyed by answering questions at that during the race. There's a time and place for interviews and I didn't think that was it. Again, GREAT footage and I thought the music was fine. :-)

@scrocephus Glad you like the vid . . sorry the music doesn't jive with you...it was 4:00am and I just wanted to get this up so I could get a little sleep before going to work. what one royalty free song would you like to hear?

Great inspiration to get out there and train hard. They look so light running the hill and floating over the flats.

Great footage, and thanks for being the first (that I could find anyway) with any of this race posted.
But please, please, please, please, please... replace (or simply remove) that music. It is atrocious.
