Yes, Tarzan did shave. You'll find lots of details about Tarzan in the novels written by his creator, Edgar Rice Burroughs. "Jungle Tales of Tarzan" to be exact, details a lot of Tarzan's youth, including his concept of creation and God. A very interesting novel.
