I've been playing guitar for 18 years and never had any interest in PRS. After seeing this bloke play, I'm 2 months way from owning my own Al Di Meola. Excellent playing, the amp isn't so bad either..hahaha
@AaronBellDeo no theres this this switch that i remember one company used to make ther pickup go from active to passive pickup and then id somehow get a sustainer pickup thatwould work with the switch and just make it a 3 way toggle
it realy annoys me when you keep saying that this guitar has a coil tap, this guitar does not have a coil tap it has a coil split they are 2 completely differnt things
Love Al DiMeola, but this guitar looks like shit and I wasn't particularly impressed by the sounds that came out of it here. Not really a fan of Matchless. Think they're kind of overhyped.
I'm guessing an SE version of this is just a pipe dream. I'll shut up now and sit back here with my cheap strat. Seriously. An SE of this would sell like mad.
Hello Rob...may I enquire where you shop is exactly and what the closest airport connection is as I am interested in coming and checking out your great sho.
I am a guitar collectionner from Switzerland. Have you ever had any Nik Huber instruments and if so what is your take on them? Thanks and look forwards to meeting you soon. You had a turquoise blue PRS in stock that I would be very interested to buy!!!
@turockandar Hi mate, the store is based in Stonehouse, Gloucester - not sure where the nearest airport is, fly in to London and make a weekend of it ;-)
@RobChappers thanks:) Are you THE guy who does the fantastic PRS demos? It always make me smile when the shop owner finishes the intro and passes it over to you. the intergalactic supra orbital master of legato blaster:) I have a Strat relic 65,Les Paul VOS, SMY2 Steve Morse, a 22 custom PRS ten top and Nik Huber Orca I am looking for a second PRS. Which model would you recommend? (something really special) What do yo think of Nik huber (I changed and put Pearly Gates and Seth lover) cheers!
haha I remember going there on my annual gloucester fishing trip, we went to get some maggots and got side tracked :P I didnt know who you were then, so I might have met you xD
The finish looks like your representing FAG pride ! What,is Al DiMeola a butt slammer.Damn,I certainly hope not.The finish is called prism but it looks like the rainbow for Gay pride.I'm pretty sure Al D is not a homo. And yes,it does mean something to me.I can't stand bloody queers, they me sick to my stomache. No nasty replies please,I don't read them anyways.
@demmylowther your the fag for even bringing that up, anyways say Al D was a homo it doesnt really matter, hes amazing at guitar so thats all that matters
OK, the Guitar and the amp sound pretty good ! Absolutely !
Though, I doubt about the pickups are the perfect copies of '57 PAFs. Each prestigious brand of pickups says the same, even the best of the best and those never cost so much. I thik of Bare Knuckle, Gibson Bursbuckers #1 #2 #3, Fralin or Lollar... I use Burstbuckers #1 and #2. I swear those sound as good as all copies but who can say they sound as new PAFs in '57 or '59...
All my admiration for being in life after a brit education.
