To Overeem's credit, that actually WAS Chuck's prime; he had just rose to the top, lost to Randy, and from then became a "legend." It was also when the UFC was at its weakest. Sometimes you learn more from their losses. He's 29 years old, and on a good run; the last good run he won 12 fights in a row, from age 20-23 undefeated which is pretty amazing even amateur. He beat Kharitonov, Vitor, Igor (fight weary and retired after), Buentello on a streak, and all the jobbers they tested him with.

To Overeem's credit, that actually WAS Chuck's prime; he had just rose to the top, lost to Randy, and from then became a "legend." It was also when the UFC was at its weakest. Sometimes you learn more from their losses. He's 29 years old, and on a good run; the last good run he won 12 fights in a row, from age 20-23 undefeated which is pretty amazing even amateur. He beat Kharitonov, Vitor, Igor (fight weary and retired after), Buentello on a streak, and all the jobbers they tested him with.

Couture's contract isn't a strictly "time based contract". He has one fight left. He has a year to fulfill it, if he doesn't fight it, he doesn't get full pay. If he fights that last fight before the time is up, he's free to go That's how contracts work. For the record, he fights Antonio "Minotauro" Nogueira next month.

Yup, Fedor is doing his own conference today. I hope it's not to snub UFC and say he couldn't come to an agreement cause they want this M1 Global to do a joint venture. Dana White already said that was their goal to come in and think they will own a piece of the UFC spotlight. Unless UFC doesn't care and figures Fedor will come in someone will get lucky knock him out and the fairy tale is over.
