  • Where did you finally mount your radio?

  • Good Video. I've been looking for some Ideas/ I have a Jeep Libetry 4X4 and there isn't much room to mount my Yaesu 7900. I dont have a Video of my Install. Ive been a Mechanic for 20+ years and I did mine a little different than the way you did yours. But yours gave me some great Ideas. I did however figure out a way to mount the Radio on the Passenger side Shifter Knee Panel. Thanks for the Video.

  • @sweettooth80 Go for it! Tech is not hard. I got my general in October to open my broadcast abilities on HF, but if you want to run local VHF/UHF, than the tech is the way to go. Im going to try for my Extra next yr

  • @jdailey19811 i've taken the extra once, i took it after i passed my general for the fun of it.

  • ii have been wanting my ham licens sooooo bad

  • you lost me cap'n

  • The radio in this video is the Yaesu FT-2800M.

  • thats a good radio i have on of those 2 meters on my base

  • that's what I hate about most new vehicles, all the plastic molding and panels bubble out all the time and take up a lot of room.

I mean, my 2 door 86 crown vic doesn't have any panels that bubble out. same with my 300d mercedes.

    great video btw. really informative

  • Lol no need for thumbs down, im from Ms, just thought that was cool.

  • Hey never knew you were from Ms, I thought you sounded like a smart guy.

  • What's that supposed to mean?

  • Great soldering and heat swink tips. 73 from Huntsville, AL

  • very nice job... to bad that you lose. but you will find a place to put de radio... 73 from Portugal
