  • @pete26785 I'm wondering the same thing, apparently in my intro stats class most people have used SPSS before.. I only first heard of it not even a week ago and for a term paper I have to make "hypothetical" results which is totally confusing me because I'm pretty sure I had all this down til I started working backwards.. :P Honestly if I had my TI-84+ around I'd probably just be using that (also I believe it's the TI-89 and a 90-something in particular that do crazy stats work? haha)

  • Thank you! This really helped for a class test!

  • Greetings: I am trying to compare class size with test scores. I would like to know what statistical test (analysis) I should use for the results from the data input into SPSS.

    Please help!

  • thank you, this is incredibly useful. We experience a great gap between (by now) plentiful data, and poor capacity to use it, and your measured, balanced introduction can help to draw people into this rich quantitative world.

  • Thank you very much - I'm doubly honored because the work you're doing looks amazing; keep it up!

  • Thank you for this but I have a Question: what version is this. It looks like 16 or 15. Please have more tutorials on how to use it. Would be much appreciated. I just received a major assignment for this and I am STILL TOTALLY LOST. Im so use to essays and reports but not quantitative interpretations.

  • In this video I was using Version 15, but then I switched to 16 for all my other videos... good luck! :)

  • Thank you! You're awesome.

  • Thanks for your offer...i am doing a research apaer and i am comparing the class size to test scores....smaller classes lead to higher test scores...I need to know what test or analysis I should use to find results that confirm the hypothesis or refute it..

Thanks for any help you can offer.

  • I would try a simple T-test to get you started.

  • Hi could you post a video on how to conduct repeated measures manova and how to interpret the output?

  • :)

In time... next video up, which will have zooming & panning to make it legible, will be running a chi-squared test of independence I think... that's what my students are learning next... analysis of variance will be a couple weeks from now... sorry.

  • wonderful

  • by the way the most important things is the teacher and you are really amazing just upload that sat pleassssssseeeeeee

  • OK, you convinced me... I'll upload a two part recode/compute tutorial. :)

  • great job where is the rest of the lessons ???

  • Thanks! :)

I have more, but can't figure out how to maintain their crispness/clarity, and more advanced stuff needs to be legible... I converted them into mpeg4 640x480 just like YouTube suggested, but still they look fuzzy... so until I can sort that out I won't be adding any more.
