  • the lyrics can be heard clearly (for On a Sunday Afternoon) sang by Buddy Ebsen

  • Who knows all of the lyrics? I just can't make all of them out.

  • the ending means "You jackasses!" . just occurred to me

  • Great! Thanks!

  • @Uploadd, personally I think they should have stopped making them after 1939!!:)))

  • 9:00 froggy speaks its annoying

  • This was one of the only episodes that Froggy made his appearance.

  • no,, once MGM took them ova, they fell off, an pretty much lost the endearing realism & honest humor we adored them for, they were so much better in the 20s & 30s,, they only lasted a few short yrs after this an then they were done for good,, i looooooooove the little rascals-our gang, they were the best kids television ever produced,,, but once the big hollywood machine got a hold of them, they pretty much lost their glitter, GODBLESS ALLLLL THE THE LIL RASCALS THEY WERE THEE BEST!!!!!

  • This is God awful. They should have stopped making these after 36'.

  • this is weird as hell watching it in color

  • To see more color Our Gang shorts go to: The Heustess Family Website

    Lots of Little Rascals info.

  • Has anybody else found anymore Little Rascal episodes in color? If you could tell me where I would like to see them.:D

  • My first look at Little Rascals in color...it's not to bad!:)

  • Not caring as this is priceless and rare stuff to find kids this talented and cute.

  • BASTARDIZED BY COLORIZING IT!!!!

  • omg the guy that was supposed to be the tin man in wizard of oz sang the last song in the movie "broadway melody of 1936" or 38 cant remember...:P

  • For some reason if just feels better to see it in black and white.

  • @PATTACAT AMEN!

  • george mcfarlend died in 1993. mickey is fine. but is accused of "Murdering his wife!"

  • Popeye the Salor Kid! - 8:57

  • more,please

  • "Siddown Waldo"

  • There was always something alittle...off about the colorization process. I like these better in the original B/W.

  • i know how you feel. it always looked very creepy.

  • I sort of skip these, Stan Laurel was a great coach of the Spanky during the early years. By this time though it seemed the acting was more forced. It didn't have the flow of the Hal Roach years. I guess the actors comming and going with each short had something to do with it, but the writing wasn't very good and is it just me or. Did almost every MGM short have them doing a show? "What do we do? Hey, let's put on a show!" I call this the 'Milk Toast Years'.

  • I think it needs some Arsenic!!!

  • I have this episode on a VHS. It's in black and white though. It's strange seeing it in color, but it's kind of nice.

  • I used to have a book about the Our gang by Leonard maltin. He didn't like Robert Blake. He always made snotty remarks about his acting. He liked darla Hood though.

  • Who knew mickey would be a killer...Wow you just never know how they would turn out.

  • haha..they all look grown here!

  • How many Our Gang shorts were there in total? I know there were the silent ones, which are rare and not shown as much as the ones from the 1930s and 1940s. When did they begin the Our Gang shorts and when did they end it altogether? Any Our Gang historian care to answer these? Thanks.

  • Wikipedia has a good article on these. It's complicated because of naming rights and sale of stuff.

  • 220 episodes.

  • The ending is funny!

  • Hard to imagine that little Mickey would grow up to be a murderer. That little rascal!

  • At 00:37, Waldo hits his wrist against the long spoon.

  • Robert Blake played Mickey.

  • He's one of my favorites!

  • Priceless!!!

  • Is the blonde tap dancer Marilyn or Janet?

  • I can guess it's Marilyn, because Darla is in, and Janet wasn't in until after "Wedding Worries", Darla's last appearance.

  • Janet is in this short. She's the little girl who stays onstage too long with her dancing partner during the final number.

  • Froggy looks so excited

  • Froggy (always, like this quote, ala Popeye): "I don't have no money. And besides, it's too hot in here."

  • HAIL THE MGM OUR GANG SHORTS!

  • It isn't any better in color.

  • MGM Our Gang shorts aren't as different as Hal Roach's Our Gang. The fact is that each short is different. Because of different actors and actresses coming and going.

  • I resent anyone who down-voted my comment!

  • Is the one with the blue shirt and striped hat who asked Froggy why he didn't want lemonade Spanky?

  • Yes

  • I mean I see nothing bad about them.

  • If Billy Laughlin hadn't ridden his motor scooter, the one to have lived the shortest life would have been Norman Chaney. He died at the age of 18.

  • Froggy sounds like an adult.

  • RIP, Billy Laughlin, Darla Hood, etc.

  • Mickey Blake's Our Gang performance is as underrated as a Non-Disney film is underrated.

  • omg, Mickey was not annoying at all. i loved him

  • Me too!

  • Well, people weren't black and white back then, just the movies/shows they made. So it makes since to have it in color, even if it's only techni-colored, its still great.

  • It just gives you an idea what it would of looked like colorized. They did that with The Three Stooges as well.

  • It looks wierd colorized, What happens in black and white really should stay in black and white

  • I didn't know that this was colorized!
