Definitely entertaining for them. It was the only mailplane that came once a week for them. This particular crowd loved the way I announced my arrival each week.
Was for Chartair out of Alice, but they also have bases elsewhere. Rotate around 55kts flaps 10 from memory. Been a while since I flew these things. Vtoss should be 1.2 x Vs isn't it. Amazing machine
I had nearly 2000 when I went into chartair, mainly instructional.... i'm finishing a uni degree at the moment and doing a little instructional work for the air force cadets on the side. Qantas next year
Nice. Well you probably would have heard us, we were flying out of Amberley all last week. I'm in Brisbane at the moment, people are desperate for instructors everywhere...

In the Northern Territory, about 3 hours north of Alice Springs. Arrival usually involved a pass of some description....
