  • it looks like a liberty ship

  • recycle it, make many spoons

  • Atmospheric.

  • thats it? get on a dingy and get us more pics of the inside dag nabbit?

  • I was waiting for explosion.. :D

  • HAUNTING!

  • That would make a great bar

  • tht ship didnot wreck i was so bored on the1.24 ok

  • ja voll super ey^^

  • @4jung4 English, please.(:

  • tolles standbild

  • Not the Telamon ~ not enoughy sticks ( maybe on charter but not credible , Blueys could not envision ships without a forest of sticks ) Not a Liberty ship for two reasons ,

    1. the 1/2 deck raised poop and

    2. the shape of the ' table ' on the mast .

Could have been one of the ' Temple boats because of the squat funnel , but the 1/2deck raised poop which was mostly a Scandinavian incorporation , did Temple Line by this ship in from Scandinavia ?

  • @MrBurntislander What are you on about? This was the SS Temple Hall, a British built ship of the 1950s!

  • i dont know if its just me but nothing seems cooler than a shipwreck.....i know they can be a horrible tragic loss of life but its so cool to watch something so big and "safe" be eaten up by the ocean

  • Tell yourself that when you're standing on board of a vessel that's going down

  • looks like a blue funnel line's ship

  • has not disintgrated like the American Star which was beached off the Canaries. feurventura something like that name? and that was ocean liner too.

  • If I recall correctly, the American Star was on the Atlantic side of the island, i.e. being constantly battered by large waves. This is on the other side in a small cove, safe from rough seas.

  • shipwrecks are cool

  • @RifledBarrel

yes, yes they are. now lets go sink some of the new ones and film the sinkings. that would be quite entertaining.

  • It sucks when asking for directions to it in hotels the staff seems to know nothing. The island is not that big really.

  • Ive ACTUALLY been there and seen that boat

  • pretty old ship, its just sitting there.

  • why would you want it to be scraped, it looks cool, and eventually will become an artificial and i doubt its going to be a danger to children, what would a child be doing 100 or more feet out at sea

  • I'm sleepy. I'll watch the rest of this video later.

  • So just allow it to sit there and disintegrate and not make the shipping company responsible for cleaning it up?

Have everyone just all gone absolutely mad in the world to not make these shipping companies responsible for cleaning up the god damn mess after they beach these behemoths.

I am sure the people of the Canary Islands really love looking out and seeing scrape metal and a potential danger for their children just sitting there.

At least put a torch to it and scrap it.

  • it looks like it'd be so fun to go aboard a ship like that- explore a little- the bridge, a couple cabins, the radio room, the wheelhouse, the engine rooms if u could get that low-that looks so cool! everything tells a story.

  • I found it on google earth. i remembered it while looking at the american star.

  • 25 58'31.16"N, 13 31'21.31"W Shipwreck Site

  • two rudders?

  • sucks

  • M/V TELAMON, built 1954 (not a Liberty ship). Have sailed onboard her for some months. While on a voyage from w.Africa to Salonica she developed leaks and was beached off Arrecife, Lanzarote, on 31/10/81. Abandoned as CTL.

  • According to other sources this is the SS Temple hall, a british steam ship that was beached because of a fire onboard... what is it??LOL

  • That's only half of it? Damn that was a big ass ship!

  • Nice video, it look its a rosty ship.

  • It would be creepy to go on board at night

  • it VERY simlar to EVANGELIA, aground in romanian waters at Costinesti. May be they were built on Liberty ship blueprints together, even though Evangelia was made in Belfast and launched as "Empire Strength" in 1942 june 28

  • That is an old American "Liberty" ship that was mass produced during WWII. Many were bought up after the war by many countries.

  • Comment removed

  • i remember seeing that ship years ago on holiday in lanzarote about an hours drive from porto del carmen

  • what happen to it how it stop working/sink what ever you wanna call it

  • Its aground it can't sink any lower.

  • umm...............SPARTA?

  • wtf that is so random

  • nice.

  • is it accessable. That would be cool to get on board and have a party in it.

  • It sure is, in fact take your party pals on during a storm and locked yourselves in the cargo hold.

  • why...Just why?

  • and roll up a fat ass blunt

  • and................????????????

  • Nice music though ...!!!

  • AY! she just kinda lingers in the water there matey!

  • YAAAR, me hearty!

  • there is something about old shipwrecks that captivates me.

  • @vkotis OGM i was about to say exactly that

  • @vkotis It cant be explained.Ive tried to understand too,but i cant. They have something magic.Thinking their stories, their captains the life that once existed there. And now what left of all that roating away under the sea or somewhere out of the sea

  • @vkotis Try diving in one :) Its awesome :3

  • amazing,i went here on the cruise ship, thompson destiny, total crap, our entertainment for our full 36 hrs at sea....knapkin folding, honest,we arrived here, went to ikea for a cup of coffee, then walked back,WORST HOLIDAY I HAVE EVER HAD!!!!

  • ya i kinda wanted to see a ship sink to

  • that was a waste of a minute. i wanted to see a ship sink.

  • i bet a hobo lives on it =D

  • What was the point of this exactly?

    it didn't do anything.

  • What the hell!!!!!!

  • Maybe it has something to do with how a working shop moves and vibrates, has a life to it, but when it does, it, like a human, rots away, and we relate it it i think, like seeing a person decompose in front of us.

  • ok.......

  • A ship being wrecked that close to shore is acually the best case scenario. All men aboard can get to land and the ship is easy to get to for figuring out how it ended up there and possible repairs.

  • I to thought it would have been broken up being so close to shore. But glad still there as its a reminder of what cargo ships used to look like before container ships took over, even if part of it gone!!

  • So why have they just left it there? strange?

  • Do you have any idea how heavy that thing is?

  • I don't know why it was left there in the first place but it now used by divers on the island. I lived there for 2 yrs and learned to dive and this was an easy wreck dive to learn on. The other half is broken up in around 16 m water

  • Ship is Telamon, Greek flag ex British Temple Hall built 1954 and beached 31/10/1981

  • i think thats an old ship from the late 30s or 40s,it also looks like one from il2 sturmovik

  • Wow.
