@cinos666 you got to remember one of the main reasons people hunt is not just for pleasure, this always acts as a wayto thin out a herd, there are hundreds of thousands of those animals walking around.
@publicdrunkenes let me correct that for you....if you don't eat meat you are not human..if anyone asks why?? Because we ate raw meat before we discovered fire and after we discovered fire we grilled it!!
@TheKrillekrall Those black guys are getting taken advantage of. Why cant you keep a rifle up on your own instead of using his shoulder. Like come on man.
@CallMelmmature Yeah, those poor black guys being paid by a fat rich guy have it so bad and all the meat they get from the kill that feeds their village and families . yup. white people are sooooo bad.
Veggie farms around the world from USA, EUROPE,Australia Africa used to have millions and billions of animals but since the land became veggie land the animals on that land are extinct. Thanx peta and vegetarians for killing billions of animals! When peta comes to NAMIBIA to take pics of wild animals they have to do this on conservationist properties and trophy farms. If they visit the veggie farms they will go back home with hardly any pics of animals.
@Rybo0 he is providing commerce. it costs thousands of dollars to go on a hunt such as this and that benefits many people who's livelihoods are connected with the hunting industry as well as the governments of the country that the hunt takes place in.
The solids you used are BARNES? I used self loaded bullets from a German physicist named Lutz Moeller. His bullets are KJG (Kupferjagdgeschoß, cooperhuntingbullet) solid cooper with a hollowpoint which is protectet from a plastic apex. They are excellent bullets. Light and hard, shoot very flat, perfect penetration and deliver fragments, while the restbolt go deeeeep in the body of the game. Waidmannsheil from Austria!
A dream for every hunter! Tell us what calibre/rifle you used for this Buffalo? I just came back from Namibia, where i had a wonderful time, hunting with a STEYR 9,3x64 for a 35´´ Kudu, a perfect Blesbuck, Impala, Springbuck and two Oryx! One day, i will go for a Buffalo for sure!!!!
Is the buffalo carrying the second camera when the hunters are filmed from the front? Must have been real fun to play these scenes in the backyard of their hotel and thinking about all the people they will fool on youtube.
@mustangsthree I use the .300 WM for larger game like like Elk, Black Bear, Bison in the US. In Africa it's great for Kudu, Zebra, Eland etc: I like it's impact power and the larger grain bullet for these species. Great all around caliber.
@BuckMcNeely hey buck my dad just bought a Remington CDL 300 ultra mag! its a real beast of a gun with a real beast of a kick. In October I'll be going on a oryx hunt in northern New Mexico its a once and a life time draw hunt on the white sands military range . and was wondering if you think it will be enough "gun" for the job and also what your views are on the gun. thanks
@trevorthompson6 All 30 cal firearms are good hunting calibers. That will do the job on an Oryx for sure. As with all hunting scenarios shot placment with a good bullet is key.
@BuckMcNeely How well does the .375 perform in your hunts? iv been thinking of getting one but still undecided on what kinda yet, i have always used my 12ga SxS with Brenneke black magic slugs and its never let me down yet, down side is i have to be within 100 yrds.
@M4land2c The .375 is great for big game and provide more range the the shotgun. In Africa however I have moved to .416 or .458 for Buffalo, and Elephant. The .375 is a tad small for me with those big species.
@jedirifleman you my friend are way off the mark;i went out for dog meat last nite(sorry night)i shoot for dog meat and food, my wife shoots 308 barnard with a sightron 8x32x56 s3 at 1000 yrds(loaded with 45.9grs of 2208 adi and 155grs bthp seirra)so when ever you want to match up and shoot for $ we will be there ,untill then TAKE 400 shots at an animal ...................but not here.......cuz(sorry )because everbody thinks you are A DICK........NOW fuck off you bore me
@AcerbusLumenis of course im not gonna die,but you can get serious diseases, you can ask any doctor...you can see it in the nature but you never see a lion hunting to show off.
@jedirifleman I'm not even American and I'm referring to the whole continent, let alone USA so you telling me that I'm an Obama cocksucker proves your primitive way of thinking. Average redneck...
Cape Buffalo, probably the most unpleasant creature you could run across in Africa or anywhere else for that matter. Incredibly aggressive, can run easily twice as fast as you can, and as we can see, pretty damn tough.
You can see in this clip how much punishment a Cape Buffalo can take. It takes a plenty of bullets to take him down, and these bullets ain't some lightweight ones. Dangerous hunting but very exciting.
Why do you call them black death?----Or the Widowmaker. Because they'll kill you if your not careful. Many great hunters have died or been mauled by Cape Buff. I believe a hundred or more every year are gored and killed.
There was a time tha all the guides carried a 12 gauge loaded with Dynamite Nobel's jacketed slugs. The slugs were designed with a .500 Nitro Express hard lead core with a soft lead sabot that had rifled fllutes to spun the slug. The idea was upon impact the soft jacket peeled off the .500 penetrator core, it continued on through as the jacket transfers all it's energy into a huge shock wave.
@MrJohanasBilderberg Its ok for the largest game over in africa but semi autos are banned for hunting though and the authorities over there probably wouldnt let you take a military gun over there
Nice "black death" they are huge animals, its hard to drop one without a huge round and no head shot, I'm sure he kept the skull or just the rack so a headshot was out of the question but cool hunt man! Great harvest!
@akkadianarab We get a few steaks for the camps dinner. The bulk off all the meat is donated to the local tribes where it is much appreciated. There are no vegatarian natives. They love their meat.
Do you guys pay a lot to kill these animals? If yes then that's good because the money you pay can be used to help others. That's what a friend told me.
@gangstafoo9b That's Johnny, a skilled tracker. He asked me to use his shoulder and it was a good steady rest for the shot. That's what a hunting team does in the bush.
Are you also that guy who had that last second kill shot of that lion charging right at him? Because that video was the manliest thing i've ever seen.
@13joethepro It's very hard to get a head shot on a cape buffalo. I've heard you have to hit them in the space between their horns. I'm not a hunter myself, but that's what I've heard from several people.
Do you film the hunt with cameras that first film your point-of-view and then you "re-enact" the hunt to film with the cameras facing you? Or how does that work?
Well Buck, me again with the shotgun question , lol. I noticed one fella with you in this vid has a double barrell breakdown. I asked on a previous CB vid if killing one with a 12 gauge using high brass and a rifled slug was possible so I just thought I'd take the opportunity to post again.
@2Devicevox This PH is using a .470 double rifle. You need to shoot solid bullets that don't mushroom when after Big Game like Buff and Elephant. The round needs to penetrate deep through thick layers of muscle and bone to reach the vitals. A shotgun slug while powerful would not wade deep enough with these species.
@2Devicevox . Im from South Africa and have done a lot of big game hunting. Your 12 gauge might work. You would have to be very close to the animal with a well placed shot. The minimum caliber for big game is a 375, so you probably wont have the chance to try it out.
@twinspur It is not a shotgun it is a double rifle. The man carrying it is the only backup available if the bull decides to charge. Most bolt guns of a caliber large enough to dispatch a Cape Buffalo hold only three rounds and can be slow to reload. The double can be fired twice and reloaded very quickly if necessary. Most doubles seen on Buffalo hunts will be at least a .416 Rigby, many would prefer a .500 Nitro express.
@luckieian A large bull Cape Buffalo will very seldom lay down and die from one shot regardless of the caliber. Many circle back to try and take the hunter by surprise. These are the most dangerous of game animals in Africa when it comes to hunting.
@GSSRT8 Sorry you really don't get a good look at either weapon in this video. Just guessing the bolt action used would be at least in the .37 caliber to about a .40 caliber. Most guides prefer something a tad larger when going after large bulls. Something in the .45 to .50 caliber range. A nice .460 Weatherby would fill the bill nicely as would a .500 Nitro.
can u imagine the smell from that fat beast in all the heat and running? The buffalo probably aint that bad though.

The round needs to penetrate deep through thick layers of muscle and bone to reach the vitals. A shotgun slug while powerful would not wade deep enough with these species.

@BuckMcNeely I thought a Gold Dot Hollowpoint or high velocity frangible could do the job. Am I wrong?
frenchfrys12 1 year ago
@frenchfrys12 no you want a solid round preferably a unbalanced round so it can tumble inside the animal

These are the most dangerous of game animals in Africa when it comes to hunting.

did you use a bolt action then a shot gun ??
GSSRT8 1 year ago
@GSSRT8 Not a shotgun a Double Rifle in a very large caliber.
gunslinger5854 1 year ago
@gunslinger5854 thanks man can you tell me what type of rifle it is ?
GSSRT8 1 year ago
@GSSRT8 Sorry you really don't get a good look at either weapon in this video. Just guessing the bolt action used would be at least in the .37 caliber to about a .40 caliber. Most guides prefer something a tad larger when going after large bulls. Something in the .45 to .50 caliber range. A nice .460 Weatherby would fill the bill nicely as would a .500 Nitro.
